Mina is a cheerful and easygoing girl who displays a smile on her face most of the time. Highly social and excitable, she loves to hang out with her friends and is shown to become very upset when denied an opportunity to be at a gathering. She possesses a strong fashion sense and likes to go shopping.
Due to her athleticism and energy, Mina enjoys and is very skilled at dancing. Her demeanor becomes more strict and perfectionist when teaching others how to dance, directly contrasting her usual happy-go-lucky nature. She is known to use her dancing to pacify, somehow, even those who have bad relationships with others. Mina is extremely courageous and is viewed as an ideal personality for a wrestler. After all, if she is willing to go off the top ropes like a lunatic, she must be courageous. That or maybe she was an idiot, which may easily be the case because Mina is not exactly the brightest lightbulb

Backstory

Mina was always a bright kid. Always trying to find the good in everything, and if there weren’t any, she’d make good. Back in her middle school days, Mina was considered a favorite by her peers because of her natural ability with people, making bullies and the bullied get along. However, Mina’s life changed when a threatening-looking guy approached her and her friends. Somehow, Mina built up the courage to stand up against the guy and get him to leave. Once he was out of sight, Mina started breaking down into tears right after because she was so scared. Mina would eventually compose herself and move along. However, something kept bothering Mina about the whole thing. It was her courage; Mina felt she had none at all despite what she did. Wanting to nip this problem in the bud quickly, Mina went to the one thing that could give her courage. Wrestling, of course, sure Mina was only a casual fan, but thinking to herself, Mina thought that the wrestlers had to be brave considering what they do for a living. Mina signed herself up for a wrestling school. A current pro was teaching it. After all, Mina now would be learning straight from the source. And boy, she would give everything and anything to go back in time and stop herself from trying wrestling. It was exhausting, doing the workouts, the drills, and not getting her started on the practice matches. The pain would so much; Mina thought she would die from it. Well, that might be exaggerating. Either way, it still hurt a lot. Regardless still kept up with the school because Mina wasn’t a quitter. But everyone going through school was getting better and better. Mina was getting left in the dust, and while she was upbeat about most things. Things would get harder and harder in trying to keep her composure. Mina would eventually hit a wall where she couldn’t get any better. Maybe she was going at this from the wrong angle. It wasn’t after studying hours and hours of film. She noticed something incredible. Well, not really. It was her friend Tsuyu Asui who pointed it out. All of the great wrestlers show off part of themselves through their wrestling. So what were some of the things that Mina liked? Oh, dancing was something for sure. Mina loves dancing and is rather skilled in it. So much, so that goofy attitude she has is nearly gone when she’s teaching dance. So maybe bringing her dancing could help Mina get past this hump. Now in actual application, Mina was getting through everything with flying colors. Her moves seemed to be more personal and accessible than going through the same tired old motions. Soon enough after that revelation, Mina’s teacher would be having a tournament. In it where the top 3 wrestlers would get a spot in her promotion. Not one to shy away from some competition. Mina entered the contest, thinking that this would be a great chance to get some experience. Mina sure had some tough matches in the tournament, but the more matches she had, the more hits she took; Mina started to realize something. Mina loved to wrestle; the entire thing became something Mina loved. Maybe she felt this way before but now was when she thought about it. Mina was going to win the tournament and get that spot with her teacher. Why? Because she loved to wrestle and wanted to win. Well, at the end of the tournament, Mina didn’t exactly win. She got third, so at least she was able to get a spot in. As for how Mina came to her alien queen persona, well, that part is hazy. Her reasoning was basically, “I needed something to make me stand out.” That doesn’t matter, though. Mina, watch out, world, now Mina was heading to the big leagues.
