Conquering a Storm (Aqua/Savior)

Hinoka affirmed that the brawler wouldn't injure her more than their official bout a while back. If Tifa said no then what could she possibly do besides move on and then ask during their next workout together, if that ever happens.

Much to her slight disappointment, Tifa look a bit unsure about getting in the ring, mostly because of past incidents. "Can't we just do one quick fall?" Even if that suggestion was from enough to seal the deal. On one hand, Hinoka wasn't at her greatest but now she is mildly aware of the other woman's fighting style slightly.

"Sure what...Huh!" So the only option available was with a limited arsenal. She was looking forward to speeding past and sail off the turnbuckle again, but it just couldn't be today. Although Tifa once again had a point about building on focused skills again. "Alright let's do that then..." Her tone showing a hint of annoyance. The redhead then decided to pick up some nearby boxing gloves to accommodate for this special spar. Even if her opponent wasn't entirely punches, it was clear who this type of contest was favouring towards.

Tifa wasn't sure how to feel about this. Sure working out is one thing, but last time they meet Tifa literally knocked Hinoka out of a ring. Tifa wasn't a gambling woman but if she were, she'd bet good money that Hinoka was no where near 100%. That's way if Hinoka was so sure of this, limiting Hinoka would have to be a condition.

Upon hearing Tifa's explanation to do boxing instead, she could tell Hinoka was annoyed over it. Though it looked like the mention of the connection to their workout smoothed her over. You sure are a stubborn one Tifa told Hinoka confidently as she looked for her own boxing gloves. Being mindful of Hinoka's condition Tifa couldn't do to much in the spar and risk further injury.

Now getting herself into the ring, All right you got me in here, mind if we keep things simple four rounds, three minutes, winner decided by 10 count only. Anything you wanna add?

If Hinoka didn't want to have a short spar, she had to rely on speed and baiting hits out since other options were so limited. Although the redhead could simply just try not to win and instead use this moment to rehearse moves and training instead. This wouldn't count to any record besides personal, but that happened to be a factor Hinoka was attached to.

As long as a potential long-term benefit was brought, she would hold down having her suggestions being reverted barely. "I just thought my idea was better. I am not stubborn..." Her lips pursed for a brief second while responding to Tifa's other claim. She eventually joined her 'gym coach' into the ring, performing a few air punches

There was nothing wrong with the 10 count condition alone, but the timer was just a little odd in Hinoka's eyes. "If we can only win by knock out, how about we just go until one of us just can't get up? ...Wait is it so I don't push myself too hard?" She might have answered own question.

Tifa would get a laugh out of Hinoka calling herself not stubborn. Sure you aren't, but only a stubborn person would say they aren't stubborn Tifa said through her laughs. Still not so sure on the idea, but it looked like Hinoka really wanted to scrap.

Right on the money, the rounds and time are for you not me. If time runs out then no one wins and we leave it there. No need for you to knock my head off, I know you can. Tifa said trying to bring Hinoka down so that the spar wouldn't take to much out of her.

Looking like a clown was ideal compared to being left behind, even if only slightly. "Well I...ummm...but that...you can't!" Stammering repeatedly out of further embarrassment. Somehow it was conversation between the workouts that forced Hinoka to burn up the most.

For now she decided to stop protesting and bow her head low, almost like a child being forced to listen to their teacher. If no one wins, either nobody was trying their best or it was two unstoppable forces colliding. Maybe Hinoka will have to prove herself here before they could move on to a higher level of practice. "Alright..." She sound off her agreement before walking towards her station. "So we start when that clock strikes?" Referring to the wall clock and how they could use that to space rounds.

Tifa would watch along as Hinoka seemed to fizzle out in the current conversation. Hinoka was surely passionate about all of this, but she didn't want her passion to be the reason why she gets hurt. She eventually reached the point where gave up on it.

Perfect Tifa said as she was adjusting her gloves. Their relationship was looking more like teacher and student then budding friends or acquaintances. Tifa would have to keep in mind her strikes, not holding back to much where she'd hurt Hinoka. But not enough where she'll feel bad about it. Yeah when the clock strikes we go. I'll have a timer in place to be safe Tifa said as she brought out her phone and use the voice command on her phone to put on a timer, set for their match. Round breaks included.

Protests started to become less frequent since they had the rules setup and only the actual spar to look forward to, unless if an accident were to occur midway, but Tifa made all these delays and precautions for this. Just in case that their fighting overshadows the clock, they had a second alarm. More factors might lead to hurdles later on.

Hinoka just nodded to confirm that she was still listening to every additional rule they had to follow. She decided to use the remaining time becoming accustomed to the recently taught stance, throwing hooks and jabs at the air imagining Tifa was already trading blows with her. No matter the prize, she was going to prove her capabilities until it almost breaks a leg. All it took was a beep to set this fireball off.

As Tifa placed another timer, she noticed that Hinoka was complaining less and less. That meant she was prepping for the coming match, knowing it was going to happen. That was good, after all Hinoka wouldn't last long in the spar if she was complaining.

Now waiting till the clock strikes Tifa only did some light stretching. Noticing Hinoka throw a variety of punches, hopefully she takes Tifa's advice and put it into practice. Honestly teaching Hinoka punching tricks and boxing with her might've not been the best idea for Tifa. But there was no point in regretting it now.

RING

The clock had struck which meant the spar was to begin. Wanting to keep things slow at the start Tifa walked from her corner with her left arm out. Tucking in her right, inching her way to the center and waiting to see how Hinoka would start this spar.

Even if Hinoka wasn't overly driven she understood needing to have the slightest bit of preparation, especially when her options were this limited. Everything she learnt today was something Tifa also knew, so the redhead had to fight more than perfectly somehow.

Mixing her own style with the new form would lead to unpredictable results. Thus Hinoka shown slight hesitation in her practice routine, wondering if she had the room to experiment at all or try her own thing. These punching tricks could still come in handy for a match opener or in a situation where she was closed in.

Even if it wasn't loud as a bell, the alarm was enough to get the heart running.

Hinoka took less time when it came to leaving the corner. She chose to start this practice spar off by pacing about, trying to circle around Tifa in an arch. It seemed her opponent was waiting for a confrontation, so Hinoka decided to approach from a 45 degree angle with left arm in front. She tried to land first blood by winding her right fist for a hook to the stomach.

Hinoka started the spar herself much slower than usual. Whether it be because of her injuries or because she was actually pacing herself. Regardless of the answer Tifa was surprised nonetheless. Wanting to see Hinoka's approach, Tifa was more than content with waiting for her move. Then again knowing Hinoka it wouldn't be long until she makes her move.

Hinoka started things off with a right hook aiming to nail Tifa in the stomach. Reeling back her left arm Tifa would tuck it in to block the body blow. The blow was not quite the ones used on the punching bag. With Tifa's right being tucked in, she shot it out quickly aiming to catch Hinoka quickly with two fast jabs to the nose.
