Adama was thinking that perhaps Isaiah might not be as comfortable on the ground as she was, the siren of the sands wasn't one to keep much of a stand up game to begin with unless it was trying to redirect her opponent's own momentum against them with the ways of Aikido. But still if she could take it to the mat as best she could that would hopefully favour her here, once you were on your back submissions could make the height and weight difference a non issue.

But her mentor had warned her of being a bit over committed in this sort of field before, would mention that she over telegraphed herself half the time when she should bide her time and wait for the opening. Without him there to shout this advice however Adama might have been falling into a bad habit, regardless it seemed to have bore fruit here a bit as it took the prophet down to the mat here a bit. Not as much as Adama with her Jiu Jitsu background would have liked to be frank, but the end result had both her and him more or less down on the mat she reasoned.

The Israel girl landed to the mat with a grunt in the hunt of the prophet, but she was dogged here. Giving him a raised eyebrow as if to signal the term 'Really?' to him in response to his remarks Adama would try and follow forward on him by leaping her legs up towards Isaiah and trying to lock in a bodyscissors on him. Wasn't the most glamourous or favoured hold of Adama but it'd hopefully get her opponent ensnared in the ground game at least.

Isaiah noticed the confused look on his opponent's face, "It's...nothing, really. Just a distant memory" Isaiah said sheepishly, something told him she didn't really care as she soon locked in a bodyscissors. This confirmed to Isaiah that Adama preferred fighting rather than wrestling. It didn't matter at the end of it, as Isaiah was bound and determined to win, as he began the process to pry his opponent's legs open to release the hold...

Adama truth be told never bothered to question her opponents and their motives, usually in the underground fighting arenas that she had been in they simply fought her either to just earn a quick buck or were already taken away from what counted as one's senses. Besides they paled in comparison to Adama's quest to be a master, to hone and perfect the teachings her mentor taught onto her. She had no time for small talk as it were, only the drive to improve her combat skills by using Isaiah as her subject.

The Prophet struggled in the bodyscissors, this wasn't a hold that Adama often applied in fights. Usually she'd rely on misdirection and using the opponent's own momentum against them, but Adama decided to take a risk and be more forward with going for this. But seemed that this wasn't the first time Isaiah had been locked in a hold like this before, if his process of trying to pry out of the hold was anything to go by.

The siren of the sands gave a strained expression as sweat dripped down her forehead, Isaiah had the natural upper body strength here she reasoned. But that didn't mean Adama was gonna make it easier for him, she had rolled around on the mat with her jiu jitsu background so Adama was comfortable being on the back there. The Israel girl would try and clamber up and shuffle Isaiah into a full guard mount to try and keep him restricted, make the prophet work for it while she put the real strain on his ribs there!

Isaiah grunted in Adama's body scissors, and it was only made worse with her MMA style ground work, as he found himself being rolled around like a Persian rug. He soon found himself staring at the Siren of the Sands in a full guard mount with his opponent's vice like legs. Isaiah had a look of pure determination only found by those born below the Mason Dixon. As it seemed impossible to pry her legs apart, he began crawling his way to the ropes, hoping to force a break. Faith endures, and Adama would have to learn that the hard way...

Adama had many a time took the fight to the ground, in the underground fighting arenas that she had gone to under her mentor's tutelage there were no rules save for the use of weapons. Hence why the opponent had often were forced to simply power out of it or adapt to it and out wrestle the albino girl, it was in those instances that Adama had ran into trouble with her jiu jitsu not being as fully proficient enough to handle a greater expert. Regardless she could keep people trapped in her guard well enough to at least apply pressure on them, lest they take the initiative and try and ground and pound her.

Isaiah seemed to be made of tougher stuff than Adama would expect, as he rather than tried to break free from Adama's hold he'd try to shuffle himself over to the ropes. Adama huffed loudly, clearly not accustomed to being in a wrestling ring than she'd have liked. The siren of the sands suspected that trying to jockey around and try and yank him away from the ropes would be a futile effort, placing more focus on her grapple situation clinging to the prophet as hard as she could but eventually Isaiah would luck out and manage to get himself out of there and get to the ropes.

The Israel girl was rather miffed to say the least, if her furrowed expression was anything to go by. The ref was counting for five seconds, Adama held it before kicking her feet against Isaiah's chest to try and get him to back off before slowly shuffling herself upwards. This man was tougher than most Adama had met and for that she had some measure of respect for him, not that she'd openly state this however.......

Isaiah reached the ropes, and couldn't help but be amused at Adama's frustration. Interestingly, this match had been rather frustrating for him too. He could handle a jobber, he could accept when his opponent was better than he was, but, a stalemate, like what this match felt like, was simply frustrating. It seemed that him and the Siren were on equal terms, though none of them were willing to admit it. Isaiah had one last trick to tilt the match in his favor: He would rush the Siren of the Sands and wrap his arms around her waist in a tight bearhug. This was his finishing maneuver, in which he called "The Book Closes"

Adama was finding herself to be more frustrated than she'd ever felt in a fight truth be told now, she had been prone to that during her early days of learning martial arts from her elderly mentor in the past. Without his wise and analytical words however Adama was starting to feel those thoughts creep into her mind, the siren of the sands while normally disciplined let her mind slip as she rose upwards to try and challenge the prophet again. But her guard had let slip as those thoughts of annoyance seeped into her mind, which allowed Isaiah to seize the chance here to close in and get hold of the Israel girl!

"Ngh!" Adama hissed out as Isaiah used his broad arms to wrap them tightly around the busty albino girl, this wasn't good. Adama hadn't managed to get lucky or react in time with the length of the match so using them to elbow the prophet in the head or trying to choke him was out of the question. Inwardly the urchin cursed herself for her vulnerability there, damn Isaiah was really putting the pressure on her there! Adama hissed loudly like a snake that was enraged and writhed about in the hold, trying to bring up her leg to try and drive a knee into him. With the pain she was feeling right now it was safe to say Adama was acting more on pure instinct right now at this point in time!

Isaiah knew that this was now-or-never. Either Adama was going to pass out, or give up, but, Isaiah was not going to let this hold go, no matter how much the so-clled Siren of the Sands struggled. Isaiah only squeezed hared at Adama's struggles. This woman was about to find out that those three words spoken at the beginning of the match were more than an empty slogan, it was, at least to Isaiah, a badge of honor...

Adama was in it now, this was a bad situation through and through with the siren being heavily restrained and constricted in Isaiah's grasp. The Israel girl despite her backgrounds in Jiu Jitsu hadn't ever really been in a place where she could lose via submission, underground fight rings usually favoured powerhousing and striking the daylights out of you. The amount of times a submission was used on Adama in those dark arenas was counted on one hand for her in retrospect, regardless with the length of the match and the impressive upper body of Isaiah it was certainly dim here for the siren of the sands who felt the fatigue overwhelming her.

However Adama wouldn't tap, her whole belief in herself and her background forbidding her from doing so. She'd not seen her mentor ever yield in a match and the siren wouldn't have done so either, Adama would simply write and struggle about in the grip of her opponent before eventually it seemed that she just.....stopped moving. No challenge, no......resistance. The albino remained unmoving there, prompting the ref to grab her arm and test it once with it flopping back down. Before trying again, again no movement.

Third time, there was no movement. It seemed the match had taken its toll upon Adama and her stamina had been drained to the point where she could no longer continue!

Isaiah smiled, "Now you see what happens when faith endures..." Isaiah said as it soon became apparent that Isaiah had gotten Adama right where he wanted her. A win was rather rare for Isaiah, as he had some growing pains to deal with, and the whole Sheepherder disaster. This encouraged Isaiah that maybe he was finally turning things around. Adama suddenly fell limp, as Isaiah expected to happen. The ref lifted his opponent's arms three times, and on the third time it fell, the bell rang and the match was over. Isaiah gav one final squeeze before letting Adama go. Not one to really boast or brag, Isaiah grabbed his coat, hat, and mask. This was actually to be the last time he'll ever don this version of the Prophet, as he was due for a bit of a makeover...
