Atalante Pallas Vs. Karen Meadows

[Devastated]

Atalante pulled up to a full stand as she had a hold of Karen's leg, twisting and turning that ankle as she had locked in that ankle lock on the raven haired beauty. She hugged the foot of Karen tightly against her chest, practically nuzzling that boot against her bosom, as she would continue to wrench on that ankle. The more damage that she could do to it the better things would be for her in the long run, as taking out a wrestler's foot would mean that they would have a hard time moving for the rest of the match, and for a speedy wrestler such as Atalante that was all the better.

She would widen her stance a bit to make sure she had a proper hold on Karen, as she would look down at the famous woman trapped in her hold. " What's the matte there, cat got your tongue?" Atalante cheekily joked.

This was bad, Karen had been in wrestling long enough to know fewer parts of the body were quicker to injure then the ankle, a few good twists could have her limping for hours or a whole day. Atalante wanted to take away one of the core strengths she had before she had a chance to actually use it and Karen had to find a way to free herself or she would be forced to tap out to prevent a long turn leg injury.

"Rnnggh..Dammit.." Karen muttered shaking her head. Pushing up with her hands the only thing she could think of was to try and roll through, trying to turn her body and roll bringing Atalante over to her and send her forward. Kicking off with her leg at the right time could throw Atalante off balance and send her to the mat or to the corner for all she cared, the important part was getting her off.

Atalante was feeling rather confident as she had a solid hold on Karen's ankle, twisting and turning it as she sought to render her foot useless as soon as possible. Despite wrestling such a star, she had no qualms about going all out and as such wasn't holding anything back. Seeing herself as a warrior and her foe as one too she thought it disrespectful to not show the difference between them at any chance she could. Though perhaps that was just that old school Greek Hero mindset that she had been emulating for so long now.

She watched as Karen shook her head and then pushed onto her hands. Twisting harder on that foot and with more vigour as she wasn't sure what Karen was planning on doing, though it became apparent when she felt the thug and how she was nearly pulled along. Atalante acted quickly in releasing that leg as Karen had gone for a full on roll, but it wasn't quick enough to stop Atalante from ending up in stumble. She lost her footing and tried to right herself, but her stumbling brought her towards the ropes which the grabbed a hold of to steady herself.

"Hmph....Not bad..." The Green-blonde cat-eared fighter let out as she would throw a competitive glare towards Karen, trying to right herself and then push away from the ropes to get ready for her foe.

The cat girl had started this little tussle by focusing on her legs and seeking to ruin her angle but once she was free she would watch Atalante who seemed impressed by her escape. "Very by the books reversal. I can show you more at a later date." Karen said as she stood up checking to see if she could walk still. Thankfully she could, with some pain in her foot but she was otherwise fine to be able to stand and fight the rest of the match.

"So you want to try that again?" She asked raising her hands to lock up with Atalante once more. She would make sure this time she got the better of her and show her just how she could wrestle.

Atalante would shrug her shoulders as she rose up, hearing Karen's come back. It was clear to her now just how cocky this opponent was, that would make it all the sweeter when she won. There was a certain sense of satisfaction for her, as someone who styled herself a fair bit off of Grecian heroes of myth and legend, to clash with someone who was as cocky as she herself tried to be.

" Sure. After I've forced you to admit defeat tonight." Atalante fired back, as a response to Karen's comment.

It made it all the more fitting in her mind. She let out a soft huff of air as she watched Karen get to a stand and then saw those hands rise up. She would do the same. " Again huh?" She questioned as she would then step forward and try and go in for that lock up, looking to go for a pretty standard collar and elbow tie up and try to push Karen backwards.

The two were still somewhat testing the waters while Karen made a gesture to lock up and get ready for the next part of the match. But she didn't have any plans to get another lock up and test of strength, instead she would change things up and take her arm when she reached out so she could twist her down for an armdrag.

"If you want to avoid repetition I can take you down in different ways." Karen said as she would try to make sure Atalante stayed down by going after her and going for a dropkick if she tried to rise up. Hopefully hitting and keeping the girl down so Karen could get a bit of revenge.

Atalante went in for that lock up, not sure if Karen really wanted to go for one but she figured the woman was looking to try thing out still in this match. Though when she went in for that lock up she hadn't expected that the raven haired fighter was going to abandon it right away, instead of following through and locking up Karen decided to grab a hold of her arm and then swung her along.

Pulled out of balance and then thrown onto the canvas with her back hitting the mat, Atalante would hiss out in pain before she began to grumble under her breath. Annoyed that Karen got the better of her in such a manner, she would quickly try and force herself up, but as she did so Karen came running right after her.

The boots of Karen came smacking right into her chest as she rose up, driving her back down onto the canvas and the air out of her lungs. " Gaah!" She cried out as she was laid flat on the canvas, huffing out and coughing.

Now this was more like how she wanted this match to be going, Atalante had a good start and knew how to make an ankle lock hurt but Karen was still a top level fighter and it was about time she started showing people that. Her kick knocked Atalante down and back to the mat on her back, while she was coughing up a lung Karen was readjusting lining up with Atalante's chest again before closing in.

Karen jumped up once more focusing right on the upper chest of her opponent before bringing her leg out and coming down on her opponent's chest and neck with a leg drop. After hitting that she would want to adjust herself and hook her leg around her head and grab it with her arm to trap and pull on Atalante's head while she was still unable to stand up, making sure to use the leg she didn't twist so she could make a go at her ankle again.

Atalante was now on the back foot, or rather she was just on her back at the moment. Having been knocked down and now in need for air. Her lungs felt dry as her breath had been taken away from her. Coughing out was only a natural reaction to trying to force air back into lungs that had been suddenly dried up like that. As she was vulnerable it seemed Karen would take full advantage of that.

They jumped up and came down, slamming that leg of hers down across the chest and shoulders of the cat-eared fighter. " Uggh!" She grunted out as that leg drop hit her cleanly. Causing her lungs even more need for concern, as the air she had regained was knocked out yet again. What followed was the legs of Karen snaking their way around her head and trapping the Grecian in a headscissor.

"Gnnh...." Atalante would grunt out as she tried to twist around and find a way to free herself.

Keeping a tight hold on her leg so that she could pull back and squeeze the cat themed fighter's head, Karen felt like this was a step in the right direction for making sure she could put Atalante down. While she was still trying to make sure she had nothing that would stop her from keeping the hold in she knew Atalante's struggles weren't going to fade away, not when she was fighting as hard as she could to escape. Still her natural athleticism would play into how far she would pull her leg back and keep the hold making sure to not only squeeze on her head put pull her head back and stretch her neck to make it hurt.

"Think your going somewhere?" Karen asked seeing her trying to turn her head and find some means of escape. Karen would do her best to keep that from happening despite how the hold bent her own leg keeping Atalante secure. Gaining any ground she could hurting her opponent with the scissorhold.
