Hinata Huerta (d) vs. Layla Colt

Hinata missed the shining wizard and muttered under her breath. She turned and saw Layla trying to escape so she moved in again swinging her leg as she attempted to smash Layla in the spine as hard as she could with a soccer kick! Hinata was out to try to hammer her opponent to make up for her awful debut match start. Hinata wanted to strike Layla down, using her most potent form of offense to do so as she knew her strikes were the best thing she had in her arsenal.

Layla succeeded in diving away from the Shining Wizard that would certainly have knocked her for six. However, the relief from that was short-lived. Still unsteady, she wasn't quick enough to dodge away from Hinata's next assault, as the fast-paced rookie laid a powerful kick square into Layla's spine!

"AAGHHHH!" she blurted, sent sprawling onto her front and clutching at her back as she writhed on the canvas, Hinata now in full control of the match.

Hinata heard Layla scream and now wanted to really make her pay! Hinata pulled Layla to her feet and shoved her against the ropes with her back on them. Hinata wanted to use this to make Layla into a human punching bag as she bounced on the ropes from the strikes Hinata rained down on her! Hinata stepped up hitting knees to the abdomen, forearms to the chest, jabs to the face and mid-kicks to the torso as she hoped to pummel Layla into nothingness! She kept going until the referee pulled her away from Layla on the ropes, hoping to inflict enough to have knocked the fight right out of her.

Reeling from the blow to her back, Layla was caught in a flurry of offense as Hinata followed up, yanking her upright and tossing her against the ropes, only to begin pummelling the Canadian where she stood!

Layla's exposed body made an easy target for a rain of punches and kicks and by the time the referee pulled Hinata back she was aching and gasping for breath. Things were getting out of hand now - she needed to do something, and fast.

Powering through the pain, Layla gritted her teeth, fixing her eyes on Hinata as the woman was escorted back by the ref. Taking advantage of the brief window, she leaned back against the ropes to give some added force, before springing forward. With a scream of defiance Layla came hurtling out off the ropes and flung herself at Hinata, attempting to catch the woman off guard with a vicious spear tackle!

Hinata was confident in the beating she just brought to Layla. However the referee pulled her back and was talking to her also blocking the sight of the rookie. Hinata was shaking her head and looking to keep hammering away at Layla when the spear caught her totally off guard! "ARGH!" Hinata howled as she smashed down to the mat, hit hard by the surprise spear! Hinata was on her back underneath Layla, squirming and writhing trying to shove the surging Layla off of her so she could recover.

Layla came surging off the ropes with all the energy she could muster, burying her shoulder into Hinata's gut with a spear tackle to send the tenacious rookie down to the canvas.

Her opponent began struggling wildly, and not wanting to take any more hits right now, Layla rolled sideways, pushing hard to put some distance between herself and Hinata. She scrambled upright and attempted to catch Hinata with a quick clothesline as the other wrestler stood up to keep the momentum swinging in her favour.

Hinata stood up... only to get knocked right back down! "UGH!" She groaned as she fell down onto her back. She kicked the mat in pain as her arms cradled her head. Hinata couldn't let this slip away. She tried to stagger back up again but the clothesline did a number on her as she was not at all expecting it. She was wide open without realizing it and Layla wasn't the type to just let that chance slide...

Things were getting back on track now. Layla sent Hinata crashing to the canvas with her clothesline, leaving the rookie flailing around in pain on the canvas. It was time to end Hinata's admirable resistance in the match.

Layla reached down, dragging Hinata up by an arm and launching her into an Irish whip. When the woman came rushing back at her, the high-flying Canadian would leap up, attempting to clamp her thighs around Hinata's head and use the woman's momentum, twisting her body and her hips to hurl her foe into a devastating Hurricanrana!

Hinata groaned as she was hauled up and sent running to the ropes! She bounced off and wasn't sure what to expect but Layla jumped up and had her legs wrapped around Hinata's head! Before she could figure out what was going on the flipped over and smashed down to the canvas letting out a cry of pain as the hurricanrana did its job! Hinata hit the mat hard and was reeling, clearly in pain as Layla seized control once more against the rookie. Hinata groaned and kicked the mat, trying to weakly shove Layla away although she was out of it.

Layla took a moment after landing the hurricanrana, the high impact move having left Hinata virtually wiped out on the canvas. She rolled clear of her opponent's weakly struggling form, knowing she had a chance to end the match with one more well-placed move.

Slipping over to the turnbuckle, Layla clambered up, watching and waiting for her opponent to get up again. When Hinata stood up, Layla would attempt to meet her, leaping from the turnbuckle and aiming an acrobatic cartwheel kick at Hinata's jaw - her devastating finisher, the Slapshot!
