Danielle Degardin vs. Gil [D]

Listening to what Gil had to say, Danielle could hardly believe anyone could possibly be so foolish, so insipidly naive. She knew, of course, that there was no one in LAW - in all of wrestling, really - who could come close to matching her glamor and perfection, but Gil had to be one of the stupidest people she had ever had the misfortune of sharing the ring with. She nearly turned up her nose as the thought - but Dani also knew that Gil's naivete gave her a valuable advantage. She would never see her coming. Just as she wouldn't see it coming when the redhead kicked up her leg, driving her foot against her opponent's gut!

As Gil doubled forward, a number of the fans booed Danielle for using such a cheap shot. But she merely huffed, tossing her hair back over her shoulder as she straightened her back, as though walking away from a minor inconvenience. Now, with Gil bent forward, she had even more control over her, which she was keener than ever to prove.

"Allow ME to show you what wrestling is truly like, little girl!" While Gil was bent over, Dani grabbed her by the hair, securing a grip on the back of her head to keep her in place. Then, she would throw a knee aimed straight up, this time going to connect an even more painful blow against Gil's face!

The blow to her gut was more then enough to keep her still, but Danielle's tight grip on her hair only sealed the deal for whatever she was planning! Without anywhere to go, Danielle's knee would smash right into Gil's mouth, being more than enough to knock her down to the mat.

Gil could taste the coppery, metallic that she was a little familiar with, she had never been kneed in the face before, she wasn't sure many people have, but she had been high-sticked while playing hockey, this was most comparable to that.

Gil, now on her knees, tilted her head up and gave Danielle a pitiful look, one that looked hurt, but definitely not one that said she was anywhere near ready to give up, one blow was nothing, and she wanted to let her smaller opponent know that!

"I know full well what wrestling is like, I might be new to L.A.W, but I'm not as clueless as you might think!" Gil smiled and tried to rise up back to her feet. If anyone had seen Gil's matches before joining L.A.W, they would know most of her undefeated amateur bout was in large part due to her opponents being very lustful, almost willingly stuffing their faces into her backside. This wasn't to say Gil had to athletic talent at all, she did, lots of it even! She was fast, flexible, and at least in her lower-body, strong! Even if Danielle doubted her ability in every way, she knew otherwise!

Danielle glowered at Gil as her knee swung up and caught her in the jaw, her head crashing into her face. At the same time, she released her hair, letting the newcomer collapse to the mat. With a haughty huff, the redhead took a step back, her hands planted firmly on her hips as she lorded over her fallen opponent. This, she thought to herself, would teach her a lesson when it came to not picking fights she couldn't hope to win. She was sure she'd knocked some sense into her, and that Gil would know better than to call herself a wrestler!

"You see?" Dani shouted to her. "THAT is what you can expect from now on! This is no place for cream-puffs like you-" But in the middle of her boast, Danielle watched as Gil rose to her knees, then straightened herself up to her feet, as smoothly and easily as though her strike hadn't slowed her down at all! Her mouth hung open, the words dying in her throat as she was shocked speechless. "I...I'm..."

This wasn't supposed to happen! Gil wasn't supposed to get back up! There was no world Danielle could conceivably imagine where anyone would take such a brutal assault from her and shrug it off like it was nothing. She rejected the very thought of it! "No! No no no, I refuse!" she shouted. She had no idea how resilient Gil had to be, but she would have to work even harder if she was to break through her defenses! Storming closer, Dani was keen on letting Gil know just what she thought of her - she drew back her wrist, prepared to swing out with a sharp backhand across her cheek!

Gil kept still and and just listened to what Danielle was spouting, she was a little clueless, but it was more than obvious that Danielle was ticked, but the reason was beyond Gil, she didn't know what she did to make her so mad, but she wanted to calm her down! But this was first things first, she had to win this match before she could settle the flames she didn't know she lit!

"Ehehe, You'll be getting a good look at my cream-puffs-" A sharp sting interrupted her, so powerful it turned her head almost all the way backwards, causing her to stumble and nearly fall back to her knees! Immediately, a red welt mark was visible on her face, she felt tears come to her eyes from a terrible heat that radiated from the palm shaped mark on her face.

The crowd could feel the slap, it's sound radiated throughout the arena, making any chatter or noise immediately halt in it's tracks!

Gil rubbed her cheek, she didn't feel angry, she was more upset than anything else, She liked Danielle, why didn't she like her? Why did she have such high standards for what it took to be a wrestler? Wasn't it about having fun and being active, maybe rubbing your butt in someone's face from time to time, well, every match in Gil's case, but still!

Gil looked back at Danielle, a pouty look, puppy dog eyes and all! She didn't know how to react, if it would be appropriate to go on the offensive, but of course it would! This was a wrestling match, she shouldn't hesitate, but her opponent seemed to be fuming, knocking down and rubbing her butt against her might be rubbing salt in the wound. Instead she considered making a counter, it wasn't a strong suit, but how hard could it be?

Hearing Gil's retort to Danielle, a few snickers came from the crowd, their appetites whetted to see her knock the impetuous redhead down a few pegs. But their laughter was soon silenced along with Gil's own interjections, as the sound of a sharp smack filled the air, the newcomer's head snapping to the side from the force of Danielle's slap. With a huff, the Frenchwoman placed her hands on her hips, watching as her opponent fell before her. In Danielle's mind, this was where the sort of common filth Gil numbered herself amongst belonged, and she was keen to remind her of her place!

Gil looked back up at Danielle with wide, pleading eyes, but she was unmoved. The redhead stared down at her with a venomous glare, her arms crossed and her brows arched. "Don't give me that look! If you want me to believe you may stand a chance, give me reason to!" In a further show of both dominance and disrespect for her opponent, Danielle would raise her foot, going to plant it right into the middle of Gil's face as she tried to push her onto her back!

Once she was on the mat she wasn't too hard to move, it's when she was standing that it was a challenge! Gil fell back, catching herself with her hands, in a halfway laying/sitting position.

She knew her opponent was aggressive, but maybe not so hot-headed to the point where she would make reckless mistakes and be able to easily be caught off guard. Gil, being on the mat, didn't have a terrible disadvantage, no worse than anyone else at least, but she figured her odds might be better, it was time for her to go on the offensive!

"I can do that, anyone can wrestle, and by the time this match is over, you'll believe it...!" Gil smiled, sweeping all the way around with her leg stretched out right, hoping to catch Danielle by the back of her ankles and knock her down onto the mat as well. A leg sweep! It's effective, and easy to pull off, but with enough speed, it can be hard to read in time, and very difficult to avoid or dodge!

Planting the sole of her foot directly in Gil's face, Danielle gave a shove, attempting to force the girl lower onto her back. Although the newcomer managed to brace herself, pressing her hands against the canvas, Danielle was undeterred - though she did clench her teeth with frustration at seeing that Gil didn't lie down and accept defeat like she knew what was good for her. But that was less important. It wasn't merely the act of physical dominance that Dani attempted to achieve this way, but the display of contempt toward her opponent as well. She wanted Gil to know she believed her to be beneath her, and nothing was more indicative of that than the position they were in. A few ringside photographers snapped pictures of the scene, and Danielle was pleased to know that her glory would be immortalized like this.

But despite it all, Gil still refused to give up. That one fact soured Danielle's excitement; it was the one thing standing in the way of making this moment perfect. Gil should have been cowering beneath her and begging for mercy, not clinging tenaciously to the hope of escape! "Oh, bah!" Danielle scoffed, glaring down at her foe. "Oh, sure, 'anyone can wrestle,' but not everyone can wrestle well, mon chere. And so far, I can't say I've been impressed-"

Danielle's words could hardly come at a more perfect time. Just as she dismissed Gil's wrestling ability, the newcomer struck, sweeping her leg into the redhead's ankle! With a gasp, Dani fell back, her feet upended from underneath her. She came crashing into the mat, landing on her elbows as she shuddered from the impact. She had been stunned - both from the fall and from the surprise of seeing her opponent actually fighting back - and Gil had been freed in the process!

Nothing was more satisfying than hearing, and feeling the resounding thud of her foe hit the mat! Gil quickly scurried her way atop her downed opponent, giving her a smile!

"...Of course they can! You weren't born a great wrestler, silly! You weren't coming out into the world going: "Pow, chop, boom!" " Gil adjusted herself planting her self on Dannielle's chest. "You worked hard, you shouldn't underestimate others, because doing so, you'd also be underestimating yourself...!" Gil gave her thoughts to Danielle, not sure how the French woman would take it, so far it seemed she was irritated by everything she said, but that's all the more reason she needed to keep talking, not to get in her head and frustrate her, but to make her realize that her negative attitude towards other fighters could harmful!

Gil scooted her self further up and pressed her crotch into the face of Danielle, probably pre-mature, but she also hooked the legs of her opponent, looking for a pinfall!

"...Because you never know, that "little girl" coming into the ring could just kick your butt...!" Gil giggled at her own comment, this could be confidence, it could be a death wish, only time would tell!

Hearing Gil's commentary, some of the fans cheered. They could see the positive energy and optimism in her, and they admired that; in a sport where rivalries could get heated and aggression could run wild, seeing someone so eager to give her opponents actual advice and encouragement was a breath of fresh air. Others snickered at her comments on Danielle working hard - though nothing was officially publicized, many suspected that underhanded dealings were involved in getting the French model onto the roster, given that she displayed little in the way of wrestling talent. That would be quite apparent now, as Gil dropped on top of her chest, sending her flopping back against the mat!

With a groan, Dani stared back up at her opponent, her eyes narrowing into a piercing glare. Before she could get a word in edgewise, Gil moved up higher, planting her groin into Danielle's face and muffling her protests as she twisted and turned, shaking her head. This was a humiliation Danielle couldn't stand for - but even worse was how, her head pinned beneath her body, she couldn't hold Gil back as she hooked her legs, folding her over. The ref ducked down to count the pin!

"One!"

Danielle, of course, wouldn't let herself go down that easily. Summoning the strength and will to resist, she kicked her legs up, shoving her opponent off of her. "No, no, no-!" she shouted, trying to crawl away from Gil. "This is simply unacceptable! I cannot stand to be pinned by...by the likes of you!" Climbing back to her feet, Danielle dusted herself off, looking back at Gil with her teeth clenched in a sneer.

Gil rolled back and up to her feet, meeting eye level with the now furious French-woman! "The likes of me? Do you mean a cutie...?" Gil tilted forward, placing a finger on her cheek and sticking her tongue out. She couldn't keep it up long before bursting out with laughter. "Sorry, that was really self-obsessed!" Her teasing would elegantly deflate on itself.

Gil should have been more aware of her teasing, not matter how quickly she would take it back, seeing Danielle was practically fuming now, and she was surely adding fuel to the fire!

"But I'll make sure this match is memorable, win or loss, I'm not a walk in the park...!" Gil readied herself and shot off, something like an off-speed pitch, trying to make her timing a little unpredictable! "Up we go...!" She turned her self just before leaping, her rear aiming itself right at Danielle's chest, if it connected, it would be hopefully enough to push her down to the mat, or maybe even into the corner!
