Once again, Danielle Degardin found herself returning to the ring. Just waiting backstage, she had a smirk on her face; it was about time she got back out there and made a name for herself as the most glamorous member of LAW's roster. She hadn't had the most spectacular of careers thus far, but she could chalk that one up to a run of bad luck. It was only a matter of time before she started reclaiming her rightful position as a force to be reckoned with - and she was feeling particularly good about her chances tonight, seeing that she was up against a newcomer to LAW. Dani had no idea who Gil was, and she didn't particularly care. All she was aware of was that she surely had to be a nobody who would hardly be worth her time. She'd go in, show her opponent that she didn't even deserve to have her name mentioned in the same sentence as her, and have another glorious victory to boast of after the fact. The redhead laced her fingers together, stretching her joints out to limber up in preparation for the match. Soon enough, it would be her cue to head out to the ramp.

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Coming first to the ring, from Cannes, France, measuring in at 5'7 and 125 pounds, DANIELLE DEGARDIN!"

Danielle kept her head held high as she stepped out onto the ramp, tossing her head back with a flip of her hair as she let her hands rest on her hips, one leg in front of the other with the poise of the model she was. Somewhat predictably, given her previous record, she was greeted mostly with boos, to which she grumbled and rolled her eyes. They just didn't appreciate her art, she thought to herself - and once she had scored a few more victories, they wouldn't question her any longer. She just needed this win to prove them all wrong. With a huff, Danielle sauntered to the ring, where she slipped off her heels, holding down the top rope to step over it. She dusted herself off, straightening her back to wait for her opponent to arrive.

For the first time, Gil would show her talent to the L.A.W audience, coming off and undefeated record at the amateur level. Even with this record, she wasn't necessarily "dominating" in the ring, she had won most of them without any trouble, but she lacked any training, or any skills that are typical for a pro wrestler! Even with all this, Gil knew she could do anything if she tried hard enough, she had to make a great first impression in this league, and she knew it!

"And now, her opponent, from the United States of America, measuring at 5'7 and 131 pounds, Arma-Gil-O!"

Gil stepped into the arena, it was much larger than any of the gyms she had been in before, she could almost feel the eyes on her, and she couldn't help but smile, not because of the attention, or even being at this level now, but for having a match, against anyone! Gil began skipping, waving, and blowing kisses to the crowd! She rolled herself under the bottom rope and shot bac up to her feet once she was in! You could feel the excitement radiating from her as she squatted up and down to loosen up!

At last, it was time for Danielle's opponent to take to the ring - and when she saw Gil, dressed in a frilly outfit and eagerly blowing kisses to the crowd, the redhead didn't know if she wanted to laugh or hiss in rage. Anyone who looked and acted like Gil couldn't possibly be tough enough or determined enough to stand a chance as a professional wrestler; she looked more like she belonged at a ballet rehearsal! Was this some kind of a joke from the management, or did they truly have such little faith in Danielle that this was who she was relegated to fighting? And yet, even before she'd had any chance to prove herself, Gil was already getting cheers from the fans, more than Danielle herself had. Dani crossed her arms, rolling her eyes with a huff as she pushed out her chest and strolled closer to Gil after she had entered the ring.

Turning to the referee, Danielle shot a barb, pointedly loud enough for Gil to hear it. "There must be some mistake here," she snapped. "I believe there must be child labor laws preventing this, especially in such a profession! Even if you truly are that crooked, wrestling grade schoolers is beneath me."

The fans booed Danielle further for her cruel remarks - even if Gil was an adult, and of comparable build to Danielle herself (if smaller in the chest and wider in the rear), the newcomer's entrance had already told Dani she had no reason to take her seriously. She was already glaring at Gil, pointing to the exit. "Now, little girl, why don't you run along home and let me face a real wrestler!"

There was a difference in the way L.A.W worked, that became quickly apparent to Gil, not because of a bigger crowd, or a more snazzy ring, but the wrestlers! They had passion, and a fire lit within them that gave them reason to be here, they had so much more heart! Gil wasn't nervous as she realized this, she was happy to know that there were others who felt the same as she did, that same passion!

Gil's smiley, cheerful look turned to one of confusion as her opponent blatantly dismissed her, though before the words left her mouth she could have guess by the way Danielle was looking at her.

"Oh, I'm not a grade schooler! And I am a real wrestler! I was even undefeated before coming here!" She exclaimed, regaining her smile. "...Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to boast...!" Gil reached out her hand to Danielle.

Hearing Gil issue some words of introduction to Danielle, a few members of the audience cringed. It wasn't that they didn't like her - in fact, she was already endearing herself well to the fans with her upbeat and can-do attitude. But it was precisely because of how they had been won to her side that they were all the more afraid for Gil's chances. She was naive, cheerful, and trusting, afraid even to speak too highly of herself. Danielle, on the other hand, was anything but - she cared only for herself, and she had no qualms about using whatever underhanded tactics she could get to undercut her foes. As far as the fans were concerned, Gil had no idea what she was getting into - and Danielle, no doubt, would punish her for that.

Even with Gil's introduction, Danielle wasn't swayed. She looked off with a scoff. "Yeah, yeah, undefeated...against who, pray tell? Stuffed animals? I've a hard time believing you could hurt a fly!" As the newcomer extended her hand to Dani, some of the fans were already warning her not to do it, knowing the redhead likely had a trap in store, but it was too late. Danielle wasn't here to be anyone's friend, and she was sure to get that across from their first meeting, as she delivered a sharp smack at Gil's hand to knock it away!

"I see how it is! If you do have delusions of being a wrestler...then I'll have to teach you that your foolishness will get you nowhere!"

Gil stood with her hands placed on her hips, listening to every word Danielle said, she knew she was being trash talked, she knew her opponent didn't think she had a shot at this match. Gil knew she couldn't win this match the way any wrestler normally would, she won't hit her opponents, she won't hurt them in anyway, but her grappling, smothering, and humiliation had got her this far, this was a test if anything, a test to see if her style would work on the professional level!

"Flies are so hard to catch... I want to let them outside, but they're so unpredictable...!" She responded without even the slightest pause, as if she didn't hear a single negative thing Danielle said about her.

With the smack on her hand, Gil seemed mostly unfazed, rather shooting her another smile. "If I'm a fool, I don't wanna be anything else!"

She took a few steps back and got into a stance that indicated that she was ready to go, wiggling her hips in anticipation, waiting for the bell!

The fans were already booing Danielle, but their cries grew even louder as they watched her smack her opponent's hand away. A few, sitting close to ringside, winced at the thought of how piercing that would be to Gil both physically and emotionally. But to their surprise, the unassuming girl didn't bend under the pressure. As though without a second thought, she snapped a retort back at the redhead, and even as her hand was swatted aside, she didn't back down. Now she was getting their interest - it seemed that Gil wasn't quite as soft and helpless as her appearance might have suggested!

Even Danielle was surprised. She was speechless, raising an eyebrow curiously as she regarded her foe; she could say now that she was left wondering what exactly she was dealing with. But she soon recouped her smug air, placing one hand casually on her hip as she leaned in closer to get in Gil's face. "You're an...interesting one indeed. But it doesn't matter. They all fall to me, one way or another..."

*DING DING DING*

Before long, the bell signaled a start to the match! Danielle was quick to get into a stance, and she was even quicker to grab for Gil's wrists, looking to lock up with her in a test of strength. Such a position was a traditional means of putting the two competitors on equal footing, each having as much chance as the other to take control. Danielle was not someone who usually liked to play fair, but if she was going to lock up with Gil, it only indicated how confident she was that the newcomer posed no threat to her! Only time would tell of how she'd be able to meet a push from the ex-model...

Whether Dannielle wanted her to or not, Gil took a liking to her, her attitude was almost the exact opposite of hers, but Gil found it hard to dislike her, or anyone really.

With the ring of the bell, Gil found herself tied up up in a test of strength! Able to dig her feet into the mat with ease, not allowing herself to budge on that front, as if her feet were planted into the earth itself! However, a little above that, she was struggling, she could hardly compete with Danielle in that battle, she was able to be handled rather easy!

And finally, after a wait, she would respond to her earlier comments. "I'm not so sure about falling to you, but let's have fun, okay!" She smiled!

As the match began, Danielle thought to herself about how her opponent was truly a strange case indeed. No matter how cruel or belittling Dani's remarks were, nothing seemed to get through to Gil. She didn't even seem remotely angry. The redhead muttered to herself under her breath, noting how if Gil didn't take this seriously she likely wouldn't show the willpower to win. This was sure to be an easy victory, she thought.

But as Danielle grabbed at Gil's wrists, pushing back against her...the newcomer barely budged. She bent backward, with Danielle easily able to shove against her wrists to push her off course, but her feet were rooted immovably against the ground! After an initial bit of confusion as to why her efforts seemed fruitless, Danielle was forced to redouble her efforts. She pushed even harder against Gil this time, her teeth clenching and her face growing red in a less than flattering look for her, but if it was what she needed to do to get Gil to move, so be it!

Except...she didn't move. No matter how hard the Frenchwoman tried, Gil barely took a single step back! Dani scoffed, her eyebrows narrowing as she glared at Gil with disdain. She didn't know if this really was a joke now, but Gil had no right to be this hard to move! "Listen, you-!" she spat. "I'll have plenty of "fun", I'm sure..!"

The test of strength wasn't working, and Danielle found herself having to improvise. She would kick a leg off the ground, looking to slam it into Gil's stomach!

Gil knew well her legs were a saving grace in tie-up situation like this, keeping them glued to the mat was her only focus at this point. Unlike Danielle, Gil never considered a match an easy victory, she saw the value in everyone she faced, she knew that underestimating, or thinking a match would be a cakewalk, was a recipe for disaster!

"That's great...!" Gil's arms felt terribly weak already, her upper-body strength was easy to to compete with, almost anyone could! "...That's what it's all about, right? Having fun-" Gil would be cut off by a powerful stomp to her stomach, causing her to lose her tight footing on the mat, sliding back and clutching her toned stomach!

Gil was bent over and took a desperate gasp for air. She let her guard down and was paying for it! In all her amateur matches, she never once faced striking attacks of any kind, it was mostly matches against people who were weak to her smothers, or matches dedicated to using only smothers! The most painful attack she had faced til now was a couple swats to her backside!
