The iron ladies of LAW big shout-out - Part 2

Greetings ladies and gents, I've set the dumbbells and barbells aside for a spell and came back to you with a new article. I have received a lot of positive feedback for the previous, and first, installment of this Iron Ladies of LAW series of articles and I thank you all for having taken the time to read my column. I think it is time now for the part two I promised. LAW’s roster is still filled with many wonderful athletes who deserve just as much praise for their incredible physiques and hard work as the previous entries. Again, it’s not a top nor a ranking, I merely sorted everyone by weight class. So let’s go meet the girls shall we?

Ursula Burns 5’11”/192lbs - Heavyweight

I’m going to give a fellow official LAW trainer the honor of being our first entry. I’d normally wouldn’t feature a staff member but since she also wrestle it’s fair game. It is said that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but in Miss Burns’ case you totally should. Just one look at her and you know that you knocked at the right door if you were looking for top notch fitness training. Ursula’s condition is unquestionable, she's got mass, her physique as sharp as can be and she’s no stranger to the bodybuilding scene. Everything screams competence and perfect knowledge in diets and metabolic mechanisms. She’s the kind of person from whom I might even learn a thing or two, and of course I’d be glad to share a few of my personal tips in return.

Sierra Oasis 6’2”/182lbs- Heavyweight
Illustration

You asked for iron, I give you iron. She’s called “The peak of the Pyramid” and if her body is the pyramid then I can that it is in peak condition. Sierra didn’t go for absolute mass (although they’re still pretty voluminous!), but she definitely went for “peak” muscle definition. Her abdomen is a true work of art and looking at it is like studying anatomy in medical school, not a single muscle is missing. Her whole figure is perfectly balanced. Her arms, her shoulders, her legs… each muscle group is superbly developed. Her diet must be on point. I’ve seen professional bodybuilders who never managed to reach such perfection. A real woman of steel and a true Egyptian goddess!

Jitsuko Juba 6’1”/210lbs- Heavyweight
Illustration

I don’t envy those going against Jitsuko in the ring! All right, maybe a little, but isn’t she mighty impressive? She doesn’t really have the classic bodybuilder type of body, this one has been forged through more traditional training and years of practice in the ring. Her muscles are quite large but don’t exhibit the typical definition of somebody who’s spent hours tuning her diet. It’s a purely practical and pragmatic approach, and it clearly works. Bodies like hers are capable of producing extreme amounts of power. Jitsuko is an authentic powerhouse. Beware, this girl is strong, |very| strong!

Patty O’Connor 6’4”/278lbs- Heavyweight

And here’s an authentic Irish brawler. At 6’4” and 278lbs Patty is definitely an impressive figure! Like Jitsuko she’s a “homegrown” kind of athlete. There's no nutrition shenanigans or excessive care given to looks, hence the massive and slightly softer figure averall her priorities were simple: lift heavy, hit hard. Her arms are huge and so are her thighs, she’s got the body of an Olympic weightlifter, maybe she should try entering such competitions one day I'm sure she'd do great. Some might think that her style lacks subtlety but I can say that Patty is without any doubt a force to be reckoned with.

Noi Lorenson 6’10”/273lbs- Heavyweight

Our last heavyweight for today, and if you like them big, huge even, look no further because you just found it. Do you remember when I said in my first article that it was harder for very tall women to build muscle? Well Noi might just have won the genetics lottery. At 6’10” tall she is one of the tallest wrestlers in LAW, but she is also one the most muscular. Her biceps a like boulders, her legs are tree trunks, she’s got mass, but also very clean definition, there’s no doubt that she’s spending hours upon hours at the gym. I haven’t have the chance to see her lift but I’m guessing the figures must be astronomical. Take another look at Noi and tell me that LAW’s roster isn’t the best in the business.

Sophia Wolfe 5’8”/135lbs- Middleweight
Illustration

Let’s begin our tour among the middleweights with a newcomer. Sophia only signed recently with LAW but I already have my eyes on her. Her figure may look slender when she’s got her clothes on but once she switches to her work out or wrestling attires you immediately realize that she means business. This is a true martial artist’s body, nothing spectacular in terms of size but perfectly toned, well defined and hard as steel. That type of muscles are capable of impressive bursts of strength, prefect for explosive and lightning fast strikes. The kind to break wood planks or even cinder blocks with a single kick or punch, just like you see in martial arts demonstrations. I don’t know about you dear readers but I’m looking forward to see what she can do in the ring!

Loretta Sombra 5’11”/156lbs- Middleweight
Illustration

Oh.My.God. I’m sorry for that tacky interjection but I’ve always been a sucker for that sort of body type. Loretta, my dear readers, is the epitome of balance. She is all muscle but her frame remains light to the eye, like steel but with the lightness of aluminum. Her muscles are very well defined but retain harmonious edges. All muscle groups are equally developed and display a similar level of definition. These shoulders, those biceps, abs, thighs… I don’t know where to look. I can’t tell if she’s just a marvel of genetics or a gym addict, most likely a bit of both, what I can say however is that I’m a big fan of what she has accomplished. It comes to little surprise that she is such a great all-arounder in the ring: high-fly, strikes, power moves, grappling and submissions… nothing is impossible when you are built like that. I don’t know if she has ever thought of entering fitness competitions but she should definitely give it a try if she likes the idea. She’d murder the scene.

Belinda Northman 5’8”/142lbs- Middleweight

If Loretta was a bit too much muscle for you, how about Belina? Another greatly balanced physique with just little less muscle mass. I’d like to commend her core and leg muscles in particular as they are so well defined and powerful looking, and as you know the foundation of any serious physical wrestler. Belina has clearly been working hard to forge a body like this one. She makes me think of these track and field heptathlon athletes, competent in all areas, which perfectly fits with her wrestling style because she is also a great all-arounder with a move list almost covering the whole wrestling techniques spectrum. Another beautiful athlete, an impressive display for someone still in her early 20s and it is always a pleasure to see her put this well oiled machine in action.

Kimya "ONI" Akamatsu 6’2”/168lbs- Middleweight
Illustration

And we are back to the big muscles. With her 6’2” and 168lbs Kimya is very close to a heavyweight and certainly capable of outmuscle a fair portion of them! I dig the the tattoo on her arm and the overall bad girl looks, and it’s all backed up with a physique to match. Large biceps, thick shoulders, abs like a brick wall, thunder thighs… Arguably one of the strongest middleweights in terms of raw physical power. And her nutrition is most definitely on point as she managed to remain in the middleweight division despite her 6’2” and all the muscle she’s packing. That’s an admirable work of optimization, pro-bodybuilder level! ONI means demon in Japanese if I’m not mistaken, and it definitely fits her.

Casey "Gale" Quick 5’2”/105lbs- Lightweight
Illustration
Image
Yes, you’ve guessed it, it’s lightweights time. And if some of you still think that lightweight rimes with weak, well first you are terrible at making rimes and second, check the size of these thighs on this young lady. Casey might be on the short side but she is packing dynamite. She is well toned overall, but her lower body muscles takes the spot. Her stomach is beautifully defined and her legs just cast thunder. She isn’t skipping leg day, I can tell you that much. Like a lot of lighter athletes, and especially women, she has chosen to focus more on lower body strength as it is a very effective way to generate a lot speed and power. Her kicks must really hurt with such well developed quads, and combined with her toned abs and arms she also has the potential to be an effective grappler.

Raquel Masters 5’2”/117lbs- Lightweight
Illustration
Image
And last but not least, Raquel Masters. She’s been around for quite a while now so most of you probably already know her but she still deserve the spotlights nonetheless. A bit like Gisele and and Blaze featured in my first article you can’t help to admire how Rachel manages to look so slim and remain under the 120lbs mark while being so muscular at the same time. Of course being 5’2” tall helps a little with keeping the weight in check but that’s nothing compared to the amount of training and nutrition discipline required to build such a jaw dropping figure. Like most lightweight I detect a slightly stronger focus on the lower body but her upper body is almost as impressive. Her shoulders are beautifully shaped, her biceps and triceps clearly visible and defined. Middleweights who challenge her to a test of strength thinking they’ll have an easy time might get surprised, big time. And now the obvious, rock hard abs and incredible legs, the trademark of all great highflyers. Rachel is an incredible athlete, her body perfectly balanced, a true powerhouse worthy of any professional lightweight fitness competitions.

And that is all for this “Iron ladies of Law” big shout-out part 2. It is a real blast for me to present and discover with you all these incredible athlete. I hope the feeling is mutual dear readers. These women are a real testament to LAW’s excellence, always on the lookout for signing the best in their fields. I am always open to feedback and suggestions don’t hesitate to contact me on twitter, and of course you can still find me at our gym if you are looking for a physical trainer or just tips for everything fitness related. Stay tuned for more in our “Iron Ladies of Law” series, I am already seriously thinking of making a part 3!
