Hinata Huerta (d) vs. Layla Colt

Hinata was pacing around the locker room, ready to wrestle as she was appearing for her debut in LAW! She was ready to roll with whoever they threw at her. Sure her mom warned her that wrestling was a far cry from MMA but Hinata felt ready. She could handle herself between the ropes or in a cage. She was going to hammer away at this Layla Colt before she knew what hit her.

Hinata was going to show that she could succeed in wrestling as well as she did in her young, short MMA career. Her music began to play in the speakers as Hinata appeared in front of the crowd, waving and pointing to the audience as she confidently walked down the ramp. Her youthful vigor, looks and appearance in her tight fitting attire earned her quite a pop for a rookie. Good. She will use that crowd energy and keep them roaring as she went to work.

Hinata climbed into the ring and settled into her corner awaiting the arrival of Layla. She was going to punch, elbow, knee, kick and grapple her for all she was worth, looking to do what she was best at as often as he could.

Layla bounced on the balls of her booted feet as she waited back stage, clad in her grey hoody, tight black wrestling shorts and fishnet tights. Under the hoody she wore a black cropped top left her midriff bear. The former ice hockey player could feel the excitement building as she readied herself for another brawl in the LAW arena.

Layla Colt

Her music, Burn Halo: Save Me blasted from the speakers and the Canadian battler strode out into the light, raising one hand high with a clenched fist, the other planted on her swaying hips as she walked down to the ring. A wry smile crossed her face at the wolf-whistles and cat calls from the stands. She swerved left and right, collecting high-fives from outstretched hands as she went.

Finally she dove under the bottom rope, rolling neatly to her feet to face Hinata. She took up her place in the centre of the ring, whipping off her hoody and tossing it to the referee, revealing her toned abs below her jet black lycra wrestling top. She grinned an Hinata, beckoning her out to the middle of the ring.

"Come on out," she said breezily. "I won't bite." The playful edge in Layla's voice made it clear she was looking forward to the contest, keen to test the mettle of this newcomer to the LAW scene.

Hinata looked at Layla and kept a focused stare as she stepped out to the middle of the ring. "I do." She said. She stayed just inside her own striking distance from Layla and as the bell rang Hinata quickly tried to pivot on one foot while swinging her leg up to kick Layla right across the abdomen to start the match! Hinata was not going to waste time against Layla looking to pounce early and establish herself. The last thing she needed was her opponent getting into a rhythm and dictating the pace of the match.

Hinata was unperturbed by Layla's taunt, which she appreciated - it was good to see someone who could keep their cool in the ring and stay focused. And focused Hinata was. As soon as the bell rang the other woman was flying at her, swinging a swift kick towards the black-haired beauty.

"Oofff!" Layla blurted as Hinata's leg thwacked into her midriff, briefly winding the Canadian. However, it would take more than that to put her off so early into the match. Riding the blow, she tried to grab Hinata's leg before the woman could pull away, hoping to trap it against her body. If she managed to catch Hinata in place, the Canadian brawler would try to ram forward, lowering her shoulder into her foe's chest and attempting to drive her backwards hard into the canvas!

Hinata was caught off guard as Layla took the hit but had a counter ready! "Ack!" Hinata shouted as she fell back in surprise hitting the canvas hard! Hinata groaned as her opponent had the initiative taking advantage of the less experienced Hinata!

Her quick counter had floored Hinata as Layla rode out the hard kick to her torso. She dumped the rookie unceremoniously onto her back, but quickly sought to wrench the woman back up to her feet, grabbing her arm and pulling hard in an effort to sling her into an Irish whip.

If she managed, she would send Hinata bouncing off the far ropes and flying back towards her. Layla would then leap into the air, her lithe body horizontal as she aimed a crushing dropkick at her opponent's chest as she came charging across the ring!

Hinata was yanked up and sent running towards the ropes, aching as she bounced off. Hinata was rocketing back at Layla when the dropkick connected leveling the rookie!

"Arrrrrgh!" Hinata groaned as she hit the mat, cradling her chest and rolling to the side. She was off to a terrible start in her debut and she wanted to change that but right now Layla was rolling!

The dropkick clanged into Hinta's chest at full force, sending the rookie down to the canvas with stunning force. Layla grinned as she picked herself up from where she'd landed, darting over to her opponent's writhing body to continue her attack.

She grabbed Hinata by the shoulders and hauled her into a sitting position, before snaking her arms around the woman's head and dropping behind her, squeezing tight in a sleeper hold to put more pressure on the LAW newcomer. If Hinata didn't prove she could get out of something like this, the Canadian was going to choke her into oblivion here and now!

"Ack!" Hinata choked out a Layla began choking away at her! Hinata kicked and thrashed about stuck in the hold for a moment before she reached behind her to grab at the head of Layla. Hinata attempted to power her way up to her feet leaning forward and using her grip to flip Layla over her shoulder to try to hip toss her opponent down to the mat as hard as she could to get Layla off her and to start to get something rolling herself!

Layla locked her arms in place around Hinata's neck in the sleeper, squeezing tight to pressure the rookie into some kind of counter. The tactic worked a little too well, as it turned out. Hinata struggled wildly before reaching behind her to grab hold of Layla by the back of her head. She continued squeezing, but Hinata had enough energy to wrestle them to their feet, before hauling Layla forward into a quick toss.

"Unfff!" Layla blurted as she hit the canvas after the hiptoss. It would take more than that, however, to do any real damage to the rough-and-tumble Canadian, and she rolled with the impact, coming neatly to her feet and spinning around with her arms raised, ready to absorb the follow up from Hinata she knew would be coming!
