Rough n'tumble

[Devastated]

Alyssa threw her flicker jab which seemed to miss it's mark as Rosie was able to use her instincts to avoid the strike of the blonde, and instead came up in between her range and threw her fist up as an uppercut, smacking it into the chin of the blonde as Alyssa would be sent stumbling back a step, releasing a pained grunt as she quickly righted herself and shook her head.

" Hah...Not bad." Alyssa said as she would move her jaw a bit and make sure she was okay, she felt a bit dizzy after the punch and she knew it was going to last for a minute or two, but Alyssa knew well enough how to fake it so that it seemed as if she was unfazed. She would raise her arms up and gesture for Rosie to come at her instead of attacking herself, but in truth she was stalling for time to clear the dizziness of her own mind.

Rosie Knuckles was a practiced brawler, and her patience had finally allowed her to open up on Alyssa. The uppercut connected and she saw her foe stagger back. The pink-haired pugilist would then looked satisfied with herself, but alert. She knew she had to take advantage of the advantage she was granted her. Still, it appeared that Alyssa was still made of sturdier stuff as she didn't show any effects of it. Bluff or not, Rosie had a chance, and she wouldn't let up.

And so, Knuckle grinned and said, "Not bad? More like immaculate," boasted the cute boxer, who would then close the gap quickly, going directly for those raised arms, throwing out lefts and rights against her, trying to break her guard enough. It was a part of her plan though. After having gotten Alyssa used to blocking those strikes, she would then drop back a step and then attempt a huge jab towards her sparring partner's gut, hoping to knock the wind out of her!

Alyssa was stalling for the moment...she needed a second to clear her cobwebs and get her mind back on straight. Rosie's boast along with her tactics did help. As it seemed the pink haired girl wanted to take a moment to sure up what she was going for. Striking at that raised guard of Alyssa! Punch after punch hit those arms of the blonde, as she grit her teeth and endured the barrage.

She waited for a moment. A chance. All she needed was a window of opportunity to open up and she would leap right out of it! It came as Rosie decided to step back. Then lunged at her with that jab. Alyssa took this chance to step to the side, twisting her body a bit in the motion to let that fist sail past her. Quick stepping towards Rosie, Alyssa would try and rocket a punch up square into the jaw of Rosie as she aimed to nail her for with a close quarters uppercut!

Rosie Knuckles had a calculated onslaught on Alyssa, trying to make an opening for herself as she continually peppered her with bruising strikes that Monroe was blocking. Knuckles could keep doing this and risk tiring out, or she could shoot her shot. And so she did, firing that jab. "Eat it!" bellowed the Pink-Haired Pugilist, only for her jab to whiff.

Not a moment later, she was cracked straight in the jaw, flailing as she staggered back, blinking repeatedly as she held her jaw. "Fuck, girl!" yelled Knuckles, her turn to clear the cobwebs. She didn't think she could take another one of those and remain upright. "That was a hell of an upper," states Rosie as she began to raise her arms up defensively, not seeming ready to go on the attack just yet.

Smashing her uppercut right into Rosie's chin and watching her stumble back holding onto her jaw was oddly satisfying. It always was when she connected with an upper even if she had nothing against this girl. Alyssa flashed a cocky grin towards Rosie as she saw her start to raise her arms up. "Hah. You best be careful girly. Cause that's just the beginning." Alyssa smugly proclaimed as she would quickly step in towards Rosie. Closing the distance between the two of them.

She would try and throw a feint as she seemed to aim a right handed hook straight at Rosie's face. Yet would instead shift and fire of a quick jab to that midsection with her left to open Rosie up! Before following through with that right hook to the face!

Rosie chuckled, grinning at Alyssa when she talked her smack, giving her a brief raise of her eyebrows in acknowledgement of it before readying herself for whatever her sparring partner might throw at her next. Her eyes locked, she would prepare to deal with it what she thought would be another hook, only to get jabbed in the stomach. Knuckles winced, letting out a stifled groan, then barely blocking that hook and staggering to the side a pace with a grunt. "Fuck..." she sputtered briefly before trying to steel herself and suck up that jab to her stomach.

Gritting her teeth, Rosie would then opt to just unload this time, firing back with a left body blow, then a right body blow, then another right body blow, then a left hook towards Alyssa's head, trying to connect with a solid hit on the blonde and strike back so she could have a chance to recover.

Alyssa was certainly not easing up on Rosie and it seemed as if Rosie could tell. As she moved in an fired off more punches, strikes, hooks and jabs. When Alyssa got going she could be rather dangerous. Not that Rosie was just going to let her though. As she decided to fire back! Nailing Alyssa in her left side with a strong body blow. The blonde would grunt and quickly bring her arms down to protect her from further body blows.

Rosie struck her low guard to the right and then again with another right. As she came in for that hook to Alyssa's head, the blonde didn't have much in the way to stop that and took the hook straight to her cheek, her head snapping to the side as she was forced to stagger back a step. Shaking her head a bit, " D-damn...not bad at all..." Alyssa said as she brought her arm up to wipe away a little bit of spittle from the corner of her mouth.

Rosie's hook went flush to Alyssa's cheek and Knuckles watched her stagger back, seeing the blonde wiping at her mouth. The pink-haired girl's brow narrowed as she smirked, taking a few deep breaths as she watched her, allowing herself the opportunity to rest now that Alyssa wasn't able to strike back immediately. "Yeah, thanks," said Knuckles, a little less of an arrogant statement this time. She was more focused, less emotionally guarded, and she had a good measure of respect for Alyssa by now.

With an up-nod, Rosie would grin and then go right back in. She went for a feint hook to Alyssa's right, only to duck and fire a left-right jab combo towards Monroe's gut. Then, she would rise and throw another left hook directly at her blonde sparring partner's head, hoping to rattle her even more, taking the initiative here in this round and making it clear she was getting more aggressive.

Alyssa had stepped back, wiped her mouth of a bit of spittle as she took the time to catch her breath after Rosie's punch. She would watch and observe her opponent, seeing her raise her arms and come right back in towards her. Alyssa would raise her arms to guard, but she hadn't expected a the feint! Leaving her left side more open and allowing Rosie to throw that jab in, smashing her fist into the gut of the blonde!

"Guh!" The Brit grunted out as she would take a step back. Though she didn't lower her arms, she raised them and hunched forward a bit, trying to cover herself up a bit more. So when Rosie's punch came in towards her head those arms would guard against it!

She clicked her tongue at the impact of Rosie's fist smacking into her arms. Yet, Alyssa tried to fight through the pain, both in her gut and her abs, as she tried to throw her a left of her own. Aimed right up into Rosie's cheek as she tried to nail her in the face with a quick jab and follow it up with a left hook aimed right into the side of Rosie, trying to dig her fist into Rosie's ribs!

Rosie had went for a stronger and more aggressive play now. She wanted to try to put Alyssa on the defensive and let herself get ahead in their little spar. The two punch to Alyssa's stomach had went in quickly as she nailed the softer portion of her body, winding her further. And then a harder left hook came and impacted against the blonde's arms, halting her for a moment. As soon as she felt her gloves hit those arms, she was immediately on alert. She weaved to the side just as the counter jab came towards her face, avoiding it entirely but moving right into the hook right into her ribs, sending her staggering back in pain.

"Gah!" exclaimed Rosie, grimacing and then giving Monroe a more determined look and then firing back through the pain in her side with a right haymaker, followed by a left jab to the face. Her strikes were becoming more aggressive. She wanted to smash Alyssa now with those hits, trying to get a big enough blow to get a fall on her, and she still had the strength to fight through that stinging pain in her side at the moment--she didn't know how long that would last either.
