Just like good old times

Hinata was rather giddy herself at the start of the match. Hopefully the rust hasn’t set in to much in this sport. After all Hinata did want to win here. Hinata taking in all of the rules. Simple enough to follow honestly, hopefully it all goes accordingly with no ref.

In doing so she would let out a comment that even surprised Sakura. Who shot back one sassy comment of her own. Hinata was having quite a bit of fun with this fighting banter. So much so she decided to keep it going It might be a high horse, but I am on it for a reason Sakura-Chan

Now the match began, fists will fly that’s for sure. Hinata came from her corner rather slow, opting to see how Sakura would come at her. Knowing full well that Sakura would be the offensive one here. Being proven right Sakura would send out a one two combo to Hinata, which she dodged quite easily. What followed was a heavy body blow coming her way. Luckily Hinata placing her arms in the right place blocked the blow. Quite the opening, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say Sakura-Chan is trying to knock me out Hinata would say as she started her offensive also. After blocking the body blow she would try and respond with a right hook aimed at Sakura’s jaw. That being only the first part. If blocked or dodged, Hinata would try and step in for a uppercut very similar to Sakura’s, on her own stomach.

Hinata sure wasn't short on words today and while Sakura had a thing or two to say as well, but fists were already flying. Hinata maneuvered around them well and blocking the body blow just in time.

Hinata was quick to send her own fists flying as well. Seeing the hook coming, sakura shifted her head slightly to the side and raised her left arm between her head and the hook, half blocking it, half letting it slide past. However, Hinata followed up with that momentum, stepping in and bashing Sakuras and with an uppercut.
"Uff" she just let out, standing firm.
At the same time as Hinata threw her punch, Sakura threw her own same kind of uppercut into Hinatas abs.
"You know what they say - the higher the horse you're riding, the harder you fall." Sakura would hopefully finally have some time to say something.
However, instead of waiting for an answer, Sakura would immediately send another right uppercut into Hinatas stomach. If she could, she would follow up with a left heel going for Hinatas ribs and then a.right hook meant for her face.

Hinata had already secured the first clean hit in the match and it felt good. Surely that had some impact on Sakura, but Hinata would not be surprised if it didn't. Though Hinata was not expecting a trade, as when she landed her uppercut. Sakura went on to do the same. Landing her own uppercut into Hinata's abs. OOMPH Hinata would let out as she grunted in pain. (Why did Sakura always have to pack a punch) Hinata thought to herself as she instinctively, put up a guard to protect her sides. As naturally a follow up would land there.

WHAM Sakura had landed a second uppercut right on Hinata's abs. Honestly almost making her double over in pain. But knowing full well that was not the end of it. Hinata would take a huge step back and avoid any follow ups. Now Hinata's abs had a red tint to them, that was more than likely to get worse as the match continued.

The two women exchanged a number of blows, some were avoided or blocked, but some found their mark. The two ended up testing each other's abs, landing a punch at the same time and standing relatively firm. However, after that, the two took completely different approaches. Hinata took a more defensive approach, while Sakura, as her feisty and determined personality would dictate, forgone all defense and went for the same kind of uppercut into the same spot. Hinata probably thought that lightning doesn't strike the same spot twice, she was proven wrong as she left the center of her midriff open and so Sakura's went in deep into Hinata's stomach.

Folding her opponent, felt really great for Sakura. This was the satisfaction of a battle that Sakura was looking for and so she couldn't help but smirk as she saw Hinata back away. I think we can both see who's got stronger abs, but I'm hoping that you're not gonna throw the towel just because your belly hurts. Sakura would pour some patronizing onto the wound and she would raise her first back into a boxing stance again. Better get used to it, because there is far more of where that came from! Sakura would finish up with the taunt, hoping to push Hinata's competetive buttons.

It was safe to say that Hinata got the worst from the exchange. Seeing as how she was the one who backed off and likely in more pain than Sakura. Honestly not surprising to Hinata considering it was Sakura after all. Her personality just made her more brazen than Hinata, luckily for Sakura it paid off. Sakura now being able to see the impact she had on Hinata.

Since Hinata was in the defensive position, Sakura was leading the match. Hence she was able to try and press Hinata's buttons, hoping something would come from that. Boasting about her abs and taunting Hinata. To be honest, Hinata couldn't say much to debate against it. Especially since the last set of blows proved it. Of course not, throwing in the towel so early would be embarrassing Hinata said confirming she wasn't just giving up. Now with more rest from the blows, relaxing her stance. But it is good to see you are feeling good, when I am not even trying Hinata said, somewhat falling into Sakura's ploy. Now taking a passive approach in waiting for Sakura to come to her.

After Hinata backed away, Sakura smirked a little as she saw there was a lightly red spot on Hinata's belly. It made Sakura a little proud of her own midriff since it took the hit better.
It was good to see Hinata determined to see this fight through instead of suggesting to stop it. That's good, she's committed now. Sakura thought. She wanted to beat Hinata when her mind and heart were fully in the game. That was what separated a passionate fighter like Sakura from a bully.
Hinata was even boasting now. This signaled to Sakura that Hinata needs to be put down a peg.
Oh, is that so? Then you should start trying if you don't want to have red spots all over your body! Sakura would exclaim before closing the distance between the two for another exchange that she was itching for. Sakura wanted to see how would Hinata respond to a slightly different approach. Once close enough, Sakura would start swinging her fists left and right without aiming too much. Her plan was to keep striking and striking no matter what, whether she kept hitting her guard or not, she would continue. Even if Sakura got hit herself, she would still try to continue the onslaught if she wasn't hit too hard, that is. Show me what you've got, Hinata! Sakura would exclaim, urging Hinata to push herself to the limit, to show passion for fighting.

Hinata was still feeling a burning pain from her stomach thanks to Sakura. Whether she liked it or not Sakura lit a fire in Hinata with what she said. Hinata not being the type of person to be fired up, now was kinda fired up. Sakura then came out talking back to Hinata for what she said about not trying. (Me trying wouldn't be fair to you) Hinata thought to herself as Sakura made her way to Hinata. Now she would be coming out swinging, not even worrying about her aim.

Taking a super reckless approach with her punches made Hinata able to dodge and block the punches easily. Not taking long to slip past Sakura's onslaught, closing the distance so close that they could feel each other's breaths. Placing her right glove on over Sakura's heart, and quickly pulling it back and pushing forward hoping to land a one inch punch to Sakura's heart!

Sakura was just throwing punch after punch, left right, it was quite predictable and Hinata didn't seem to have a lot of trouble with it, dodging blocking and weaving between the swings. Sakura was a bit impressed by Hinatas movements. It looks like her body didn't go stiff after all the years.
Sakura felt excited as she figured she wouldn't need to hold back against the princess.

That excitement was interrupted when Hinata suddenly appeared next to her. "Uh..?" Sakura froze in confusion for a moment and Hinata used that moment to throw a punch. Sakura had tightened her abs but that was not where she was hit. She was hit in the chest and it pushed her back a few steps. "Aaaghhh!" Sakura held onto her chest with her left hand.

"Ugh... I haven't seen that in boxing..."

Hinata would keep this to herself but a part of Hinata wanted to flatten Sakura's chest with that one inch punch. But the boxing gloves made it harder for Hinata to get the form right. Not that it mattered because it still landed regardless of bad form. This move causing Sakura to scream and step backwards holding her chest. Making a comment about not seeing the move in boxing before I'm sure there is plenty you haven't seen Hinata said, more or less threatening to unleash more on Sakura.

That being said the opportunity was there for Hinata to pile on the punishment. Sure Sakura was proud of her abs and Hinata wanted nothing more than to pound them senseless. But she was ready for that. So putting her gloves to her face Hinata made a quick dash towards Sakura. Not caring if she was ready or not, Hinata would fake a punch rocketing to Sakura's abs. In actuality Hinata would put her entire back into this punch even passing Sakura, hopefully Hinata would slam her fist into Sakura's face.

"Then show me." Sakura said in a serious tone and a serious expression, ignoring the leftover pain in her chest and readying herself, her gloves raised, abs hard.

And then Hinata came at her, dashing in with a punch to her abs. Sakura wasn't gonna let her get in a free hit and so she lowered her arms to protect her stomach. However, the hit never landed. Instead, Sakura saw a fist appear from under her gloves. Her eyes went wide and the pinkette only managed to lean her head back an inch before her cheek received a clean hit, rocking the kunoichis face to the side and setting the woman stumbling back. "Ppghoaghh!!" Some mix of saliva and blood shot out of Sakuras mouth. Then, Sakura rebound off the ropes and unwillingly came back at Hinata. She was dizzy and quite vulnerable.
