Just like good old times

Hinata had just been having quite the average day, nothing special to write home about. Yet something strange had happened, she received an invite from an old friend to meet in private gym. Not much else in the invitation, aside from the obligatory "Bring your stuff" Not being one to decline invitations from friends Hinata went on her way. It didn't take long for Hinata to reach her destination. Once in the gym she would notice the lack of people in it, along with the pristine gear. Taking a moment Hinata would pass her hand on the gear As if you were brand new Hinata would tell herself. Hinata would run through the memories she had of herself and Sakura when they were youngers. With the spars and bouts they would have back then and all of the other good times in between. It was nice to remember those moments. Hinata would stay lost in thought.

Sakura had noticed that her friend and rival from the past has signed up to LAW and it made her blood boil, in a good way. She wanted to meet her friend, but also to fight her like they used to in the good old days. Sometimes those were training spars, but as fate had it, it was often the case they often faced each other in various trials (usually combat) in order to advance through ninja ranks. fighting each other became the way of life for them and they came to enjoy battling each other, or at least Sakura did.

So, with this in mind, Sakura invited Hinata to meet at a gym at late evening. Sakura made sure that the gym would be empty and there would be just the two of them so that they could have a thrilling spar like they used to have. The pinkette was arrived earlier, already made a plentiful warmup to offer Hinata nothing short of a proper fight. Waiting for Hinata in the ring, Sakura leaned back against the corner, feeling more excited for a fight than usual.
They would, of course, discuss how they were gonna do it once they meet, but Sakura had intended for them to have a boxing match.

And speak of the devil, here she was... Hey there, Hinata! Long time no see! How have you been? Don't be shy, come right in! Sakura would urge Hinata to get inside the ring, where Sakura waited with boxing gloves on already as a hint.

It didn't take long for Hinata to figure why she was here. Hinata would snap herself out of thought to look for Sakura. But Sakura had already found her, Sakura started with a lovely greeting. One that Hinata would reciprocate herself. Hello Sakura! It surely has been a very long time Hinata would say, before she could say anything else Sakura would tell Hinata to come into the ring. Again not being the one to shy away from an invitation Hinata would enter the ring with Sakura. Hinata would notice Sakura decked out in a full boxing attire. Hinata knew Sakura enjoyed fisticuffs, while this medium was not necessarily her specialty. She had done some practice for her striking herself. So Sakura-chan what brings you here? Itching for a fight as usual I see.

Hinata seemed like she didn't change too much. Still looking good as always, I see... Sakura commented, looking over Hinata's physique as the latter entered the ring and stood in front of the Pinkette. She was quite excite to see how many blows could that body take. I thought we could indulge in some good old traditions of ours? Discuss our lives through an exchange of fists? You know, do it like in the good old times? What do you say? Sakura would ask, extending her glowed fist for a fistbump. Every since I caught wind you've joined LAW, I wanted to see whether you've lost your edge or not.

Why thank you, I have been keeping up with my workouts Hinata would say looking to the sides of her body. Though while Hinata was content to just talk with Sakura. Sakura had different ideas in mind, bringing up the idea that they fight.Ever the forward one aren't you Hinata would say giggling a bit. It certainly would be like good times so Hinata was hard pressed to say no.

Oh but Sakura-Chan boxing was always more your thing. Surely this isn't some plan to beat me up Hinata would say somewhat jokingly

"so I've noticed" was Sakuras response to the workout statement made by Hinata as the pinkette was staring at her rival's body with a slight smirk.

Sakura then heard Hinatas response to the suggestion of a boxing spar between them, to which Sakura put her gloved fists on the sides of her waist and approach Hinata, standing face to face, close enough for their breasts to touch. "Oh? Am I hearing this correctly? Are you chickening out? Is that it?" Sakura would try provoking Hinata. "If that's so, then we can declare the score 1 - 0 in my favour and move to the next challenge? Submissions, maybe?" This would be a good test to see whether Hinata still retained competitive feelings towards Sakura.

Sakura would not be the biggest fan of Hinata's response to her. Standing herself up and approaching Hinata, standing face to face with her. Hinata would initially be suprised by the sudden contact, but would calm herself down. Sakura doing her best to try and goad Hinata into a match. Chickening out? Hinata would say jokingly Sakura-Chan we are both adults, surely you didn't think that would work on me? Hinata would say placing her hands on her hips.

That is when Sakura would self declare that the record between them be 1-0 despite no fight taking place. Hinata herself was not the most competitive person when it came to most things. Yet something about Sakura declaring her victory without them fighting wasn't right. Knowing full well that boxing was in the realm of her expertise Hinata would take on Sakura's challenge. With a sigh You win, I'll do it. Not sure where you picked up these methods Hinata would tell Sakura. Only allow me to take a moment to change

Standing in front of Hinata face to face, breast to breast, Sakura was a bit annoyed by the difference in their breasts, even though Sakura's have grown a little since her teen days, she was still reminded of the harsh truth. Hinata wasn't very excited for this, but in the end, Sakura's challenging attitude won out. I mean whats the harm in a little spar between two buddies? Yes of course, go get changed and show me whether you've been slacking in your workouts or not, heh. By the way, make sure to grab a pair of boxing glowes! Sakura teased as Hinata went to get changed.

When Hinata would be back, Sakura would be waiting for her in the corner, leaning back against it, with the gloves on and all, ready to throw down. She would then tell her the rules which were pretty simple. This will be more or less basic boxing rules. Meaning no kicks and no ground fighting. The first alarm will signal the start of our match. The alarm will repeat every 5 minutes, with 1 minute intervals inbetween the rounds. We go at it until one of us doesn't get up for 10 seconds or admits defeat. I'm gonna set the alarm for a one minute delay from now on, so if you got any questions, ask them now.

Hinata would excuse herself allowing herself to change into the proper attire. Hinata, not that she would openly say it. Somewhat cursed herself for falling into Sakura's childish ploys, as if they were children. But what's done is done. Hinata would just herself ready, Hinata would be lying if she said she wasn't a bit excited. It has been a while since she was able to trade blows with Sakura. Though boxing was more geared to Sakura, Hinata still thought it would be fun. Once done changing Hinata would find some gloves, around the gym.

Now leaving the room Hinata would start putting on her gloves and walking to the ring. Sakura seeing, Hinata would tell her the rules. Which seemed to be fairly basic. I hope you don't hate me for knocking you out Sakura-Chan Hinata would say giggling. Now getting into the ring she would find the opposite corner and just wait for the start.

Sakura saw Hinata approach and enter the ring. Both women wore practically the same attire consisting of short shorts, sports bra and boxing gloves.

Sakura explained the rules pretty thoroughly, so there shouldn't be any surprises even if there was no ref.
Just after Sakura finished with the rules, she was taken aback by the sass that came from a typically shy Hinata, which grew Sakuras excitement. "Oh? What's that? That's quite a high horse you're riding. Make sure you don't fall off Hinata-sama." Sakura teased Hinata with that Sama thing, for being from a quite a famous family back home.

Sakuras phone rang and it was time to exchange blows. Sakura was so excited, she couldn't help but smirk as she approached her opponent. The pinkette would try to test the waters with a quick one two combo aimed for Hinatas face and then planning to take a step closer and slug a right uppercut into Hinatas stomach.
