Smart Strikes: Artemis Grace vs Sharon Donnery

Artemis smirked hearing Sharon’s words, the older woman’s determination impressing the blonde. ”Hmph I know. So show me your teeth.” Artemis said lowly in a challenging tone right into Sharon’s ear before wincing in pain as her side was dug into by Sharon’s elbow, the pain causing her hold to loosen slightly. Gritting her teeth however Artemis reaffirmed her hold as she threw her legs up around Sharon’s waist to add onto the hold. “Come on... I know you have more than that. Make this hunt interesting.” Artemis said further challenging the woman in her grasp.

Despite her best effort to break free by hitting her opponent's side with her elbow, Sharon still remained in the hold, and Artemis then added her legs in the equation, wrapping them around her waist, squeezing her.

"Erghhhh..."

It was clear now that escaping through ordinary means was impossible. So, all that remained was a gamble, and Sharon had no other choice but to use it. Now that Artemis had wrapped her legs around her waist, she was certainly seated behind Sharon, and she decided to throw her weight backwards, looking to get Artemis on her back. Then, she would arch her body up, getting her feet on her tiptoes as he would go for an improvised pinfall, with Artemis' shoulders pressed against the mat.

The referee would come and start counting for the pin, slapping the mat with her palm. Artemis would need to do something about this, or else she might find herself losing to Sharon.

Artemis smirked smirked squeezing Sharon tighter and tighter, refusing to allow Sharon free. Even as the woman’s elbows buried into her sides which indeed did hurt quite a bit. But it was nothing she couldn’t handle. After all victory was within sight fir her and she wouldn’t let it go easily. However that being said Sharon was nothing if not resourceful. Before she could do anything the blonde gasped feeling herself pushed back onto her shoulders in a sudden pinfall! ‘Hm clever girl.’ Artemis thought to herself as the ref slapped the mat in a count. Not risking anything Artemis released the hold pushing Sharon to the side as Artemis rolled in the opposite direction for some breathing room.

Sharon's little gambit worked, and Artemis released her. "Ghaa..." Wheezing out as she would then end up on all four, Sharon would take her time catching her breath, hoping that she could recover.

At the same time, she would look at the direction of Artemis. At the moment, all she could manage was prepare herself for what to come next and brace herself, hoping that she could take on whatever that her opponent would throw at her way.

Despite her sleeper attempt failing to bring Sharon to dreamland Artemis smirked over at her opponet as she used the ropes to stand back to her feet. While Sharon still remained trapped on her hands and knees, no doubt recovering from the breathless feeling the huntess subjected her too. In all hokesty Artemis knew she should capitalize on this advantage and make the kill... however Artemis decided not too. Sharon showed both impressive resolve and cunning in that escape and to the platinum blonde that was enough to warrant at least allowing the older woman to get back to her feet before continuing.

Catching her breath, Sharon would then rise back up onto her feet, keeping her eyes on Artemis. It seemed that Artemis had decided to give her chance to recover. Huffing, Sharon would straighten herself up, her brow furrowing as she would steady herself on her feet.

"Haa... y-you could capitalize on me still recovering..." Sharon pointed out. "You'll regret giving me this opportunity..." And so, Sharon would take a stance, carefully studying her opponent. For the time being, she would remain in one spot, still catching her breath and recovering from everything that she had taken. She would wait for Artemis to make her move so that she could react to it.

As Sharon started getting to her feet following that onslaught of attacks, Artemis nodded to herself, impressed by her resolve. As the woman spoke about her possibly regretting this decision the blonde would merely shrug her shoulders in response. ”Perhaps. But what good is a boring hunt?” Artemis countered as Sharon finally made it back to her feet, raising her hands in a defensive position.

Nodding to herself Artemis did tbe same, raising her hands up in preperation for the second part of the bout. As she circled Sharon for a moment, the blonde calculated what would be the best way to go about this. Clearly Sharon was expecting something fast and hard, so if Artemis attempted to do so, she was fairly certain she’d be easily countered. That’s why, as opposed to fast and hard, Artemis would go for slow and forceful. Dashing forward she would lock hands with Sharon, attempting to force the older woman back in a test of strength to try and wear the woman down.

Carefully observing her opponent, Sharon could see that Artemis was coming towards her with strength and power, as opposed to speed. The two of them ended up in a grapple, and Sharon would try to match her opponent's strength. Unfortunately for her, it seemed that Sharon was outclassed in terms of pure strength, and she found herself slowly being overwhelmed by her opponent.

Knowing that she was in a unfavorable position, Sharon decided that she needed to do something drastic fast. So, as she was slowly being overwhelmed by Artemis in their lock up, the green-haired woman decided to deliver a sudden knee strike right into her gut, hoping that it would stun the other woman, allowing her to push back against her, overwhelming her in the meantime.

Artemis watched as she slowly pushed Sharon further and further back, gradually gaining ground against the smaller woman. ‘Hm I expected more from her.’ Artemis thought to herself with a twang of disappointment that perhaps this was actually the best Sharon could do. In any case though the blonde didn’t question it as she continued to push her further back. However...

”Aughhh!” A knee suddenly buried itself in her stomach making Artemis gasp out in pain, spit flying from her mouth as she lost her footing. With her advantage robbed from her Artemis was felled to her knees, and without a proper footing she found herself pushed back by Sharon! “Ugh! No!” Artemis gasped out as she felt herself being bent back by Sharon, at the smaller woman’s control now for possibly the first time in the match!

Thanks to the knee strike to her opponent's gut, Sharon managed to gain dominance over Artemis, and she would try to make use of this to maintain her momentum. Pushing back against Artemis, Sharon would try to push her opponent down, back first, onto the mat. From there, she would attempt to grab onto one of Artemis' arm so that she could proceed with her next move.

Seizing that arm, she would get her legs around it, trapping it between her thighs. Then, she would begin wrenching at said arm, subjecting her opponent to an armbar, looking to weaken her arm in the process.
