"A fond hello to my magnificent lovlies out there, and welcome once again to the most sophisticated show on the internet- Kieda's Corner! For tonight, I've decided to deviate from the norm a little and try to spice things up by inviting someone near and dear to my heart onto the show!" *The ebullient kunoichi clasped her hands together before cupping her hands around her mouth.* "Introducing, none other than the reigning heavyweight champion of the law world, Astrid Ostberg!" *The Azure Assassin clapped, signaling that it was her cue to make her grandiose appearance!*

Right on cue, as her music played over the speakers, Astrid stepped into the room, a smile on her face and the LAW Heavyweight Championship proudly around her waist. Having recently come back from her tour of the indies, Astrid was eager to resume her duties as champion and to represent herself as the top of the competition in her weight class, and she was delighted to accept an invitation to be interviewed on her position. As she gestured to her belt, Astrid moved over to take a seat on the foot of Kieda's bed, facing the camera with a smile.
"Thank you so much for having me!" she said, nodding toward her host. "It's my pleasure to be here, and to be recognized for all my hard work."
*As the voluptuous blonde stepped foot into Kieda's relatively spacious private quarters, her viewership on the streaming platform skyrocketed to nearly double what she normally has!* "Woah, seems as though you're incredibly popular with a broad range of fans~" *The Cerulean Shadow gestured towards her personal computer before gesturing for the champion to sit beside her.* "That belt of yours looks absolutely fabulous on you! It really assists in bringing out your eyes." *Kieda examined Astrid from head to toe, simply stunned by her overall apperance.* "Now Astrid, I'm sure you get this question on a pretty frequent basis, but what was one of your biggest hurdles on your way to the top?" *Kieda leaned forward, eager to hear what her response could possibly be.*

Hearing Kieda discuss Astrid's appeal, she smiled wider. It was a thought she bore with pride, and she nodded her head in recognition. "Oh, thank you! After my tour of Europe, I'm sure I'll bring plenty of new eyes on myself, and on LAW as a whole." Then, listening to Kieda's first question, Astrid smiled wider, facing the camera for her answer.
"If I had to pick one moment as the biggest challenge of my career," she said, "it would be in finding someone to train me. Even though my father was a wrestler, he didn't want to train me, because he knew he'd be holding back against his own daughter and I wouldn't get the sort of experience I deserved. I had to find someone to teach me myself. But I knew how much this meant to me, and I didn't let that hold me back. I knew where I wanted to go, and I knew I was going to achieve my goal. And...well, here I am! It's that sort of dedication that kept me going."

"Stupendous! What a delightful little tidbit of information that the audience will absolutely eat up~" *Kieda clasped her hands together in wonderment at how pure and honest Astrid appeared to be in her response. Her live chat reacted with a slew of emotes, ranging wildly from support to shock, and even a handful of laughing emojis just for the sake of diversity. With her curiosity being fully piqued at this point, the intrigued fashionista allowed the virtual crowd to simmer down before continuing on.*
"So!" *Her voice suddenly perked up* "Time to address the elephant..well..to be more blunt, the bull in the room; your impending opponent for the upcoming pay per view, Jess Mcleary, is one of the toughest opponents on the law roster to date." *Kieda said in a matter of fact voice.* "Anything you could say that would persuade some nonbelievers into believing that you will prevail against these seemingly insurmountable odds?"

Astrid bowed her head toward the camera. Though she couldn't see how the live chat was receiving her, she wasn't worried either way; she was just concerned with putting her best foot forward, and she was sure that the viewers would take away from that what they would. After a pause, she looked back toward Kieda, ready to answer the next question.
"Ahh...yes, I figured this would come up," Astrid muttered. After her last confrontation with Jess, she knew that the impending matchup scheduled for We Are LAW would be on everyone's mind. She had been training for it all the same, ready as always to give it her best. "I'm well aware of the reputation Jess has built up around herself. I've seen firsthand how tough she can be - I lost a match to her already. But that was before I won the championship - and I'd like to remind everyone the odds I had to face in getting to this point. I had to take on two competitors at once, one of which was the then-reigning champion Linda Halloween. And since then, I've been defending this belt on the indies - where I had to face opponents nearly every week, and with the pressure of having to leave LAW if I lost the title breathing down my neck all the while, and still I was never defeated once. I don't mean to boast, but with that in mind...I'm confident that I'll be able to hold onto this championship!"
*As Kieda sat as still as a statue to allow Astrid ample time to elaborate on her point, her eyes slowly widened with every word- It was abundantly apparent that the intrepid champion was determined to prove her worth to anybody that would lend her their ear. As she finally reached the conclusion of her declaration, the awestruck assassin thunderously applauding her inspiring words!* "Bravo! Bravo! Truly an inspiration to the aspiring rookies that look up to you!"
*Unbeknownst to the pair, however, a certain southern bulldozer was preoccupying herself with a rather mundane task- Laundry. As she ascended up the staircase to reach Kieda's room, the peculiar noise emanating from within caused her to raise a solitary eyebrow in curiosity.* "Well nah, what could be goin on in here?" *Clasping the knob with her right hand, she subsequently twisted it sideways before barging in, instantaneously locking eyes with her arch nemesis!*
"...Fancy meetin you here~" *Dropping the load of dirty unmentionables against the floor, Jess immediately sprang at her unwelcomed guest, attempting to latch onto her hair and drag her out of the room!* "H...Hey! What on earth are you doing?!" *Kieda wailed, accidentally forgetting about the live feed while she rushed out to try and fill the role as moderator!*

Astrid chuckled at the mention of the rookies inspired by her example - but soon after she beamed with a sense of genuine pride. "Oh, yes! I met plenty of promising talent on the Grand Tour as well, and some of them I'm sure have the potential to reach greatness. Some of them even gave me a run for my money out there. But if anything, I hope that I taught them something through facing them in the ring. If I can inspire them to reach their potential and take their talents to new heights, the wrestling world can only prosper."
Just as Astrid gave a pause for the next question, however, things were suddenly interrupted - as Jess came barging into the scene! Her attention diverted to the sound of the door opening, Astrid spun around in her seat to turn to where her future challenger now loomed before her. At once, she gasped, surprised to see her here - but that soon turned to a glare, as the locking of their eyes brought all of Astrid's memories of their rivalry flooding to the surface.
"I beg your pardon? I don't think this is the time-" The Norsewoman pushed herself off the bed and to her feet, staring Jess down, but the cowgirl was already in motion. Grabbing Astrid by the hair, she began to haul her backward and out of the room. Astrid hissed under her breath, but she wouldn't take this lying down - just as she was being steered away, she drew back a fist, letting it fly toward Jess's face!
"Yah ain't welcome here, so howsa bout I escort yah towards the door!" *The boisterous screams from the belligerent bull were enough to rattle the foundations of the entire Gem's Haven, her eyes piercing daggers towards the unwanted blonde! As Jess continued to yank at the fringes of Astrid's golden locks, she suddenly felt the bare knuckles of her adversary indent themselves across her cheek, causing the defenseless southerner to stagger backwards!*
"GGRRHH!" *The startled westerner snarled from the pain she had absorbed, stumbling off the stairs and inadvertently onto her backside. Kieda, meanwhile, was on the brink of getting herself involved before the solitary blow landed, causing her to lash out at the both of them!* "STOP THIS NONSENSE RIGHT THIS INSTANT!" *Becoming a makeshift barrier between the two of them, the agitated kunoichi shifted her attention towards Astrid initially.* "I'm terribly sorry for the intrusion, but for your own wellbeing, I'll have to ask you to leave." *Spinning on her heel, she subsequently addressed her wily partner.* "And Jess! What has gotten into you?! Can't you maintain just a scrap of professional composure for once?!"
"Yeah..fine...go already." *The seemingly calmed juggernaut conjured up a rebuttal, but not before developing a sinister smirk across her face.* "But, howsa bout a wager, since yah seem so confident in yerself." *Finally standing to all of her intimidating height, she nonchalantly ambled towards the shell shocked blonde.* "If I win, yah gotta leave law...fer good! No surprise appearances, no special guest roles, just nothin but yer pasty white ghost hauntin the joint!"

Astrid did not take kindly to Jess's antics in general, and she especially did not appreciate that her rival had to intrude on her interview. This was supposed to be her time to address her fans and to represent her position in the company, and Jess had to ruin it. They already had their match scheduled for the upcoming show, but evidently, Jess couldn't wait her turn.
But if she was going to accost the champion then and there...two could play at that game. Astrid swore to be ready for anything at any time, and she would do whatever she needed to prove she had what it took to hold the title. As Jess was hauling her back into the hall, Astrid rang back out with a swift punch to the face, breaking her hold on her hair. Despite feeling the pressure being released, Astrid wasn't slowing down - she tailed after Jess, attempting to box her in against the wall. Her fist balled, Astrid loomed over the cowgirl, preparing for another strike.
And it was just then that Kieda's voice rang out through the halls, causing Astrid to freeze. She backed away, letting down her stance as Kieda got in between the two of them, but that didn't mean she had let down her guard - she eyed Jess cautiously, crossing her arms. She made it quite clear she wasn't about to take her eyes off her, and that if she tried anything funny, she wouldn't tolerate it.
"I concur," Astrid muttered, still keeping a close eye on the intruder. "Here, I expected better of you. We do, after all, have arrangements to settle this properly at We Are LAW, but if that won't do it for you..."
But bringing up the match caused Jess to make her challenge, and it was then that Astrid paused. It seemed that the Texan had taken Astrid to heart when she mentioned that she would be leaving LAW if she lost her championship on the independent circuit - and she was willing to hold Astrid to her promise for one more match! For a moment, the Norwegian's blood ran cold. She had been invested in this match already - she wasn't just defending her title, but her honor and self-respect against an opponent who had none, and she had something to prove in besting Jess in their second match. But now, the stakes were even higher. If Astrid lost, she wouldn't just lose her belt - she wouldn't be allowed to set foot in a LAW ring again.
It was enough to make her stop, staring out into the distance as she weighed her options. But it didn't take Astrid long to realize what she had to do. She couldn't back down. She had her title, her reputation, and her good name to defend - and if she surrendered here and now, she'd no longer have any right to claim those things. Astrid was a champion. And a true champion would never give up.
"Fine!" Astrid called back, jabbing a finger toward Jess. "I accept your challenge! No matter what I have to put on the line, it won't stop me. I know that I can beat you, and I'll prove that, no matter what - anything you can do to intimidate me will only make my victory that much sweeter!"
