Kirie was small as far as LAW's wrestlers were concerned. While she wasn't as small as some on the lightweight roster, she also wasn't anywhere close to hitting the middleweight mark - and, as a result, she wasn't exactly the best when it came to absorbing damage. Roana might not have been the strongest, but her bear hug definitely worked for what she needed it to do, and Kirie was feeling its effects. As she gagged and sputtered from the pressure around her ribs and waist, Kirie tried her best to struggle free. She was getting Roana's hold on her to ease up, but she didn't have much time to appreciate that - with ease, Roana threw herself backward, spiking her opponent straight into the ground!
Kirie gasped as her back came crashing down against the mat, bouncing in place before she came to rest where she lay. Slowly and with a groan, she rolled herself up onto her side, looking up through narrowed eyes to study her surroundings for any signs of where Roana was now.

Re: Kirie Tsukada vs. Roana Abrantes [D]
Roana decided it was time to finish this match. She went to were she was most comfortable: the top rope, there she would wait on her opponent to stand up, all while keeping an eye on her opponent's manager/boyfriend, not being afraid to take him out if necessary. When she stood up, she would jump on her shoulders in her finisher, an Over Castle she called Atardecer Español (Spanish Sunrise)

Re: Kirie Tsukada vs. Roana Abrantes [D]
Kirie's eyes scanned the ring, running from side to side. She blinked a few times, starting to adjust to her surroundings, but she was surprised to see that there was no sign of Roana anywhere. Was she missing something? Or was La Matadora truly so fast she was moving quicker than Kirie could track her? Given what she'd seen from her thus far in the match, she wouldn't even rule that out. However, as Kirie looked up, she noticed just where Roana was - she had already gotten to the top rope, and was preparing her next move!
Kirie gasped, her body going tense as she prepared herself for what was sure to be a hard-hitting move from her opponent. She bit her lip, and balling a fist, she summoned the resolve to rise to her feet. Unfortunately for her, resolve wouldn't be enough. It was at that moment that Roana sprung - and as she sailed over Kirie, she grabbed her by the neck, sending her crashing down hard onto her back with a canvas-shaking thud!
Kirie cried out loudly as she hit the mat, and a number of the fans cheered at such a daring display. But Kirie was hardly so enthusiastic - she knew this could only spell trouble for her!

Re: Kirie Tsukada vs. Roana Abrantes [D]
Roana knew the hour had struck as soon as she felt Kirie's head hit the mat. Roana had to admit, LAW could've easily put her up against a jobber, but, Kirie impressed her. She will recover from this. But, for now, it was time to claim her first victory. She hooked her leg and the referee counted:
"One...
Two..."
"One...

Re: Kirie Tsukada vs. Roana Abrantes [D]
Laid flat on her back from the high-impact collision with her opponent, Kirie's head was spinning. For a moment, she looked as though she could stand a chance of winning once she had thrown Roana off her game and gotten the speedy Spaniard in her clutches - but Roana had long since overtaken her once again, and now she had paid the price. Dizzied by her opponent's agility as well as the force with which she had hit the canvas, Kirie couldn't focus on what was going on around her, and, as a low groan escaped her throat, she couldn't summon the strength to kick out of the pin.
Hiro looked on, too, from the ropes. He bit his lip nervously, wondering if he should interfere or not. But did he have the chance? Kirie was across the ring from him, and any attempt to get into position might take too much time, as well as being too conspicuous to Roana and the referee alike. He'd already meddled with things in Kirie's favor once before, and to do it again felt too risky. Hiro didn't enjoy interfering. He only did it for the sake of love. But, as he took in a gulp, he figured the best thing to do for now would be to sit this one out, and hope that Kirie wouldn't be too upset after.
Either way, he'd given so much thought to pondering his options that there was no time left - as the ref's hand came down once again.
"Three!!"
The bell sounded, and Roana had been proclaimed the victor of her first match!

Re: Kirie Tsukada vs. Roana Abrantes [D]
Roana got up at the sound of the bell ringing, signaling the matches end. Roana was now 1-0 in LAW! Roana hopped up to celebrate. But, as soon as the referee held up her ands in victory, she extended a hand to her fallen opponent, "You did well, I have high hopes for you in your next bout." she said, hoping that, at the very least this girl had some ounce of respect...

Re: Kirie Tsukada vs. Roana Abrantes [D]
Kirie began to pick herself back up, groaning and rubbing her head. For a minute, she looked back at Roana celebrating her victory with the referee, and she grumbled, narrowing her eyes in frustraton. If she'd just kept her hands on her a little longer, she thought, she could have won - but Roana had broken free of her clutches, and Kirie just hadn't been able to keep up.
She saw that Roana was holding her hand out to her, now, and for a moment longer Kirie paused to consider what she was seeing. Her opponent at least had honor in congratulating her on her efforts, and in offering to help her to her feet. But her pride had still been bruised in losing the match, especially when the opportunity had been right in front of her. Turning her head aside, Kirie pushed herself off the ground, getting to her feet on her own. "I can handle myself just fine-!" she insisted. Then, though, the pain in her legs caught up to her, and she teetered on uneasy footing. Just as she was about to fall, Kirie grabbed hold of Roana's arm to hold herself up. "Uh...thanks, though..."

Re: Kirie Tsukada vs. Roana Abrantes [D]
Roana could tell her opponent was a bit bitter over losing a match, espeially to a rookie, but, Roana insisted on showing some sort of class. Her opponent at first rejected her hand, but, after stumbling, she grabbed her arm in an attempt to steady herself. Roana accepted her thanks, and decided to let her manager/boyfriend take her to the back. Roana was already mentally preparing for the next challenge...
