Kirie Tsukada vs. Roana Abrantes [D]

It wasn't an easy or pleasant trip for Kirie as she pulled herself toward the ropes, grasping at the canvas to drag her closer and closer. She hissed in pain through her clenched teeth, every inch she traveled putting more pressure on her spine. But she wouldn't tap out this early in the match! She had to give it her all!

Soon enough, with one last stretch of her arm, Kirie latched onto the ropes, and before the ref even needed to say anything, Roana released her. Holding onto the ropes for leverage, Kirie dragged herself to her feet. She clutched at her aching spine, letting out a pained whine, as Hiro came up to her on the other side of the ring ropes.

"A-Are you okay?" he asked, holding a hand out toward his client. But Kirie met this with little more than turning back toward Roana and locking eyes on her.

"Yeah...I'm fine. I'm only getting started..." With her eyes narrowed in focus, Kirie began to lower herself into a stance. She knew she couldn't outrun Roana, so for now, she would try to anticipate what she'd do next and how to prepare herself accordingly, and her fingers coiled, mentally readying a counterattack.

Roana may have let Kirie to the ropes, but she was by no means going to let up on her high speed assault. As she was more comfortable airborne then at terra firma, Roana would charge Kirie with flying knee, aiming at her chin, hoping to once again have Kirie on her back, making her vulnerable to another high-flying attack. If this was successful, she would make her way to where she was most comfortable in the ring: the top rope. She would then attempt a top rope leg drop, hoping to stop Kirie in her tracks...

He had heard Kirie's assurance, but at the same time Hiro wasn't so sure. Standing ringside, he had seen how quickly Roana could move, as well as how her camel clutch had left Kirie sore, and potentially slowed her down when it came to reaction time. His focus shifted from his girlfriend to her opponent, who was now getting down for another charge. "I mean, are you sure? She's pretty quick-"

"Don't worry your pretty little head over me, Hiro-kun, I know what I'm-" But in that split second Kirie had taken her eyes off her opponent, La Matadora had struck. Closing the distance, Roana's knee came crashing into Kirie's chin, and she let out a scream as her head was turned aside from the force of the blow. She staggered backward before dropping to her back by the side of the ropes, her manager wincing as he could only imagine how much that would have hurt.

From there, Roana would move to the top rope, getting into position to throw herself down on top of her prone foe. Hiro knew this would have to hurt, too. But he knew as well as she did that Roana was most vulnerable when her momentum was interrupted, and this could potentially be the perfect moment to let Kirie take the lead again. He sighed, thinking of how he'd compromise his integrity in doing something less than legal, but this was his girlfriend he was talking about. His unhealthily attached, overly controlling girlfriend. The things he did for love...

While the ref was watching Roana climb to the ropes, Hiro hopped down, using the ring apron to hide him. He took Kirie by the wrist and moved to pull her aside, hoping it'd be enough to clear her out of harm's way and leave Roana to wipe out on the mat.

The running knee hit to perfection, Roana was understandably confident when she headed up on the top ropes, she had just jumped when Kirie's manager/boyfriend grabbed Kirie and pulled her out of the way, making Roana crash on the mat butt first. As she was surprisingly thick for a European, it didn't jar her as much as it might some others, but, her face turned the same color as her attire, she was pissed! Roana kipped up and bounced off the opposing side's ropes, and with all the speed and momentum she could gather, she would attempt a diving crossbody on both of them!

Kirie didn't quite have the strength in her to get out of the way in time, but luckily, she had help in that regard. Hiro pulled her aside just in time, leaving Roana to come crashing into the mat instead. Panting for breath, the pink-haired girl rolled over to pick herself up onto her elbows and knees, where she smiled to Hiro. "Oh, thank you so much, Hiro-kun!~ I owe you for that-"

Hiro's response, however, was decidedly more concerned. From where he stood, he could look past Kirie to see that Roana had already righted herself, and was now running to the ropes opposite them. His eyes widened, and he gulped nervously. Not to mention, he didn't want to draw attention to the fact he had performed an illegal interference. "Shh! You can thank me later-! I'm...not supposed to be doing that, you know-"

"What? You like me, don't you?"

"It's not that-! I mean...behind you!"

"Huh..?" Kirie looked back over her shoulder - just in time for her eyes to go wide as she let out a scream, seeing Roana about to come crashing into her! Unable to get out of the way, she was slammed into by the full force of La Matadora's charge, in the process knocking her through the ropes and into her manager and sending the three of them collapsing in a heap on the floor, with Kirie's admittedly modest chest landing directly in Hiro's face. He blushed hard, stammering nervously in a muffled voice and trying to push the two of them off of him. "S-Sorry..! That was an accident-!"

Roana, at least in her mind, got her revenge on Kirie's managr/boyfriend for interfering, as she felt both bodies crash beneath her. Roana rolled away and kipped up, "Ole'!" she yelled as she looked at her opponent. She kind of smiled when she saw what position they landed in, and was somewhat jealous. Why didn't she have a girlfriend to do that with? Roana snapped out of her admiration of the two lovebirds when she heard the ref start the count. Roana rushed back into the ring, waiting for her opponent to join her...

Kirie picked herself off of Hiro, shaking herself out. "It's fine, it's fine-!" She wasn't one to be embarrassed, contrary to her boyfriend; after all, the two of them were dating, and she could accept things like this happened, particularly when he was her wrestling manager. If it was with any other girl, of course, it'd be a different story. Regardless, the ref was counting, and she needed to get back in the ring!

"One! Two!"

"G-Go..!" Hiro snapped back to his senses in time to push Kirie back up, and she got to her knees before hopping to her feet. Luckily, it seemed that Roana wasn't about to press her advantage while Kirie was out of the ring, giving the pink-haired girl time to get herself back in as she ducked through the ropes. Once there, she looked toward Roana with a huff, getting into a stance, and began to move toward her, prepared to react to any sudden movements. She knew that Roana was too quick on her feet for a head-on approach, but she hoped that the right opportunity to counter would present itself.

Roana was impressed with her opponent so far, and it would seem too obvious to go for a high speed move, as that was surely what Kirie was expecting, so Roana decided to do something outside of her comfort zone: She approached her opponent, and wrapped her arms around her back in a tight embrace. Sure, power wasn't her strong suit, but, she figured if she weakened her opponent in a bearhug, she would be more vulnerable to her speed moves...

Kirie was adapting. What she had witnessed from Roana in the match thus far had told her that speed was her foe's greatest asset, and that the biggest challenge she would face would be in trying to avoid getting overtaken. When Kirie herself favored a slow-paced approach, keeping her opponents still to work them in her holds, this presented a problem when Roana could blindside her. If she wanted to succeed, she would have to wait for the right moment to catch her opponent off guard, leaving her open for a counter. That was why she had approached Roana slowly, giving herself enough time to watch what the Spanish girl would do next and to prepare her next move accordingly. She was just waiting for Roana to come charging at her, right into a counter.

So it came as a surprise to her when Roana, instead, moved toward Kirie with a more measured pace. The pink-haired girl went tense, her fists balling and her muscles tightening as she waited for the moment La Matadora would take off running. Except that moment never came. Roana knew Kirie was prepared for her to charge - so she went for something entirely different, catching her opponent by surprise!

Suddenly, Kirie found herself pulled into a bear hug, with Roana's arms squeezing tightly around her sides as she pulled her in close! She let out a scream, her back arching as her ribs and spine buckled against the pressure. It might not have been the most forceful of bear hugs, but it was something Kirie didn't see coming, and that was good enough for Roana! Now, she was left kicking her legs frantically under her, trying to do anything to fight back. "L-Let GO-!" she gasped in a panic.

Roana really didn't expect to get Kirie to submit here, as she wasn't that strong, if Roana was being honest, but, clearly Kirie was hurting, so she had to be doing some damage. Still, even with a bearhug from a not-so-strong opponent, she was surprised at the fuss her opponent was making. If she didn't want to be hugged, why did she make herself look so huggable? Unfortunately, Kirie's struggling was beginning to work, and her grip was slowly beginning to loose. Before Kirie could counter into something dangerous, Roana decided to lean backwards and slam Kirie with a belly to belly suplex...
