Gemma Faraday vs. "Amazon" Alaina Sanders-Haines

Alaina was wearing her one piece tiger print swimsuit, knee pads and boots ready for action. She had watched Gemma Faraday beat a bigger team of women in a handicap match and Gemma wanted to try her luck against the amazon again. She lost a tag match to Alaina, but scored a surprise pin against her. In a solo rematch Alaina took it to Gemma, and she felt she was about to win another match against Gemma before Victoria appeared to interfere. The amazon wanted to win tonight as much as Gemma did. She was pushing for a title shot and had to prove to Astrid that she was a worthy challenger by record not just reputation.

The amazon was going to go all out against Gemma even though she really did respect Gemma and really liked her. Alaina made her way through the hallways backstage and was going to be ready for action tonight.

As her music played she made her way out into the arena, pausing at the top of the ramp with her arms out and head held high to soak up the loud roar of the crowd as she appeared. Alaina flexed her arms and thighs, showing off the full extent of her powerful figure planning on using this power, technique and surprise agility to really take it to Gemma. As she strut down the ramp she high fived fans and finally made it to the bottom of the ramp before climbing up onto the apron then through the ropes. The amazon stood in the center of the ring and posed again before settling into her corner to casually await the arrival of Gemma.

Very little time had passed since Gemma’s victory over Irish Old School, but it was enough time for the adrenaline to wear off. Now, the punky British girl was faced with a match against Alaina Saunders, a powerhouse veteran who had, time and again, had planted Gemma against the mat and pinned her. A woman who had become Gemma’s obsession, her Everest, someone that Gemma just had to climb over and defeat if she was ever going to move on with her career.

Gemma made sure that every buckle of her steampunk gear was in place, every snug bit of cotton was hugging her body and ready to go before she would head out onto the ramp. Gemma’s music hit the loudspeakers, and she pumped a fist into the air. However, tonight, Gemma had spoken to LAW management, and made an arrangement: pyro erupted from either side of the Air Raid Siren, framing her body in bright white light that outlined her body. The sparklers would eventually die down, leaving a cloud of steam around Gemma as she stood on the ramp, music still playing on the loudspeakers. Now that the fans could actually see her, they could see the microphone in her hand.

“Alaina!” Gemma shouted into the mic, stepping forward. “I don’t know about you, cupcake, but I have been looking forward to tonight! See luv, I know quite well, just like you do, that careers have a lot of ups and downs to them. And time and again, you’ve been my downs, luv! You have pinned me in tag matches, you’ve pinned me one on one … you were beating on me when I had my own mum come out and mess with me. But tonight, crumblecake, tonight … Tonight I am going to slam that bum from one side of the ring to the next, and lay you out for everyone to see that I have earned my place in that ring!”

Alaina stood with her arms crossed and eyebrow raised as Gemma came out, mic in hand and talking up quite a storm. A smile crept across the face of the amazon and she stepped slowly towards the edge of the ring extending her hand while a worker handed her a mic. "Cupcake? Crumble cake? Gemma dear....." Alaina said as she shook her head, pacing around the ring but always keeping an eye on Gemma.

After a pause she spoke again. "You know I love you, I respect you in and out of the ring. I know you managed to pull off some shockingly strong slams on me but listen... I won't hold back against you especially after you came down acting like you already won." Alaina said as she stepped out flexing an arm and a thigh, kissing her bicep. "These muscles can out-slam and out-strike ya and while I am 45 and 187 pounds of amazon I am far more agile than you care to admit. Now slamming me all over as you say... well you may want to do some strength training with my nephew before coming out making a threat like that. You will be laid out and your bouncy little butt is gonna with you never set foot in the ring with a driven amazon." Alaina said tossing the mic to the side and crouching low, beckoning Gemma to come forward!

Gemma smirked a little bit as she watched Alaina’s reaction to her promo. Her usual goofy, somewhat dismissive style didn’t faze the veteran, of course, but it did seem to do something to pump herself up and entertain the crowd. The punky Brit sized up Alaina, watched her flex on her both on the mic and literally, posing in the center of the ring. This was a hell of a challenge Gemma had set up for herself, one she’d failed at in the past, but now, she felt like she was ready. Of course, judging from the taunts, Gemma had no choice. It was be ready or end tonight as a series of stains on the mat!

Gemma hopped up to the apron and swung between the ropes to enter the ring. The ref came between them for a moment, wanting to keep things from getting out of hand too quickly, and Gemma relented. She gave a steady look to Alaina, wanting to appear confident. Gemma handed her mic off to the ref, who tossed it aside and backed off. Gemma cracked her knuckles, rolled her head to stretch out her neck, and hopped in place to limber up. Her pert body bounced on the apron for a few moments, and Gemma let out a breath. “Show time, luv,” Gemma said, half to herself and half to Alaina. “Let’s do this!”

As soon as the bell rang, Gemma would move in to lock up with her opponent. First, she would try to test strength with the Amazon, if she locked up, pushing an elbow and collar tie up. After that, however, Gemma would try to quickly reverse her movement, and slip behind the Amazon for a rear waist lock, looking to hop back and take Alaina down to the mat with an unexpected change up!

Alaina smiled and moved in, locking up as the bell rang! She felt Gemma slip behind her but she immediately moved her leg back to hook Gemma's to prevent to lift, grabbing at Gemma's geipnto power her wyabout prying Gemma's hands apart!

"Nice try...." Alaina said as she tried Ronson around while holding one of Gemma's hands attempting to pull her in close for a hard hitting clothesline!

Gemma had worked overtime to try and dance around Alaina with a changeup of grapples, and there was no small part of her that wanted the veteran Amazon to be impressed. Coming up behind her, planting her cheek against Alaina’s muscular back, Gemma felt ready to hoist her up, and hurl her into the mat … of course, Alaina had other plans.

“D-damn,” Gemma groaned, as Alaina pried her hands apart. Gemma bent forward, trying to keep the pressure on, but before long Alaina would step out, spin around, and aim a heavy clothesline right at Gemma’s slender neck! The Brit panicked and kept pushing herself forward. Ducking low, Gemma could feel her pigtails whipping against Alaina’s burly arm as she ducked the clothesline, rolling away. Coming back up and spinning around, Gemma raised her hands, trying to challenge Alaina to lock up again!

Alaina swung and missed, spinning quickly before Gemma could get hold. Instead she saw Gemma with her hands up waiting and the amazon smiled. She nodded to Gemma and moved in quickly to grapple with her! Alaina now tried to firmly secure the grip and instead of overpowering her she adjusted and moved herself in position to lock Gemma in a tight side headlock! Being cautious Alaina also moved her leg back in position to be able to wrap it around Gemma's to prevent the unlikely attempt of Gemma powering out by trying to backdrop the much larger amazon!

Gemma locked up with Alaina quickly, and just as quickly Alaina shifted her grip to a side headlock, tucking Gemma’s head firmly against her body to trap her. Gemma arched her back, thrusting her perky ass backward, and braced a hand against Alaina’s back.

Rather than just try to pop out, however, Gemma tried giving ground. Backing herself and Alaina up, Gemma tried to bring the grapple back to the ropes. If she could get Alaina there with her, Gemma would lean into the ropes, before using the tension to thrust forward, slipping her head out of the Amazon’s grip and use the built up tension to send Alaina hurtling toward the ropes on the opposite side of the ring!

This match appeared like something of a chess match and Alaina was low key loving it! She felt Gemma going back to the ropes before shoving Alaina free sending her running to the ropes across from her! Alaina hit the ropes, leaning back before hooking her arms over the top rope to prevent herself from running back at Gemma. Alaina had plans in mind for offense of her own, but in her mind if stopping her return towards Gemma canceled out whatever Gemma's plans were then it was for the best to halt the run totally.

"Nice try Gemma. I beat your mom... again.... and the amazon train is gonna keep plowing through to victory!" Alaina said as she made her way back to Gemma. She appeared ready to lock up again lunging in to get hold of Gemma but this time Alaina was trying to get her hair and whip her around, hoping to snapmare Gemma to the mat twice in rapid succession! "I know ya love Lisa Rampart but I am gonna have to slam ya around just like I slammed her blubbery butt!" Alaina added as she hoped she could disorient Gemma a bit.

Gemma grinned as she got Alaina to the ropes, but that grin shifted down when it proved impossible to get the Amazon off the ropes. It seemed that Alaina was not nearly ready to get flung around the ring, so Gemma was going to have to keep working this match nice and slow. While her grin returned when Alaina mentioned beating Gemma’s dear old mum, but her brow remained furrowed.

The lack of focus, even if it was amusement instead of being bothered, gave Alaina an opening to catch her, and whip Gemma onto her perky butt not just once, but twice, bouncing off the canvas after a pair of snapmares. Gemma grimaced in pain, buns rocking off the mat, chest bouncing around in her steampunk gear as her body was rocked with each blow. Gemma shook her head, trying immediately to get herself upright, staggering and stumbling to get herself upright as she flailed around with her hands, clumsily looking for Alaina, the ropes or anything that she could use around her, to orient herself. Gemma was used to flying around the ring but getting snapped around by her pigtails against her will was something totally different!
