Any woman that's made it this far had to have gotten past a reasonably difficult opponent in the qualifiers, first. It was safe to assume that each woman squaring off in middleweight tournament was a frontrunner in Middleweight division. If Yamato wanted to win the belt in her home country, she'd have to prove herself against each of them and survive round after round to capture the gold. And tonight's round would find her going up against LAW's resident red headed Irish brawler, Erin Quinn.

The stadium lights would dim and Yamato's theme would begin to play as she made her way to the ring. Clad in a flattering red and white leotard, clearly repping the the colors and image of her country's flag, Yamato entered the arena with her arms out and her head held high. The audience roared for her as she marched her way to the ring, ready to do her fans and Japan proud. The muscular aerialist would approach the ring and hop onto the apron before slingshotting herself over the top rope and rolling onto the canvas before popping up to her feet. As her name was announced, she'd find her place on the turnbuckle, climbing it to wave to the audience. Yamato had debuted in a qualifier match and put on a spirited contest, ultimately defeating Melody Serperior to secure her spot in the championship tourney. Having had a perfect debut and living up to her moniker as "The Perfect Woman", hometown fans were quick to rally behind her.

The black haired woman would take her place in her corner as her opponent was announced next.

Erin could hardly believe that she made it past the qualifying round of the tournament. She was now one step closer than she had ever been to winning a title. As she made her way from backstage she even noticed that there were fans chanting her name, rooting for her to win. The redhead had been liked by the crowd before but she never really took much notice of it. Today though they were spurring her on. Erin eagerly waved to the audience as she made her way down to the ring and hopped over the top ropes.

For the first time she set her eyes on her opponent. She was a little smaller than Erin but she sure looked tough. Had Erin not had full confidence in her abilities, she might have been a little intimidated. Nonetheless she was determined to give the crowd what they wanted, a good ass kicking. "Hope you're ready for a beatdown." The Irish brawler said with a grin. She wasn't one to really mix words but she figured she might as well greet her opponent. She'd hold out her hand for a high five and after that quickly make her way to the corner.

Erin was beyond eager to start the match. A win here would mean she could advance to the next round, and then at most she'd need 3 more fights to get to the top. It would be a difficult feat but one that he was sure she was capable of. Now she only had to out wrestle someone with the nickname "perfect". "Perfect huh?" She mumbled. "Guess I'll just have to be flawless."

Yamato would take notice as Erin appeared to the sounds of voluminous cheers. She wasn't familiar with the red head or her fan following. The qualifiers were trying for most everyone in the tournament. The raven haired Japanese native could only assume that Erin's performance in the qualifiers earned the Irish lass a fan base of her own.

The Perfect woman would raise an eyebrow when Erin promised a beatdown. Erin wasn't the first confident woman she had faced. She'd have to be one of many on Yamato's quest for the gold. The taller, more muscular wrestler would meet her foe in the center of the ring and reciprocate the high five, replying to Erin's comment with: "You came to beat me down. I came to grab the gold."

She, too, would return to her corner and await the sound of the bell. Yamato would emerge from her corner and once again try to meet her opponent in the center of the ring. The red and white clad woman would stare intently at Erin, looking at her seriously in an effort to size her up.

"I've lived up to my moniker: The 'Perfect' Woman. And I intend to keep living up to it!"

Yamato would assert after deciding to rush at Erin. The black haired wrestler would attempt to throw a forearm at Quinn's head to start the match off. Regardless of whether or not the forearm hit, fans would roar in favor of both women, hoping to see them put on a spirited and competitive contest!

Erin just smiled at Yamato as she stared at her. After a few seconds she just stuck her tongue out. While she probably should have been sizing up her opponent, that just wasn't the redhead's style. She rather enjoyed the surprise of not knowing what exactly she was up against. Just from glancing at her opponent though it was obvious the woman was a powerhouse.

As the bell rang Erin would walk to meet her opponent in the center of the ring. Instead of being intimidated by Yamato's looks and comments, Erin only took it as a challenge. Everything that was perfect had to be ruined sometime, and Erin was going to take it upon herself to do just that. "We'll see about that. I look forward to being the one to break that record." The redhead commented.

As was her tradition, Erin would try to start the match with a lock up. Her opponent however seemed to have different plans. The Irish brawler jumped back, narrowly avoiding a blow to the head. "Woah! It's a brawl huh? Now we're talking!" The redhead yelled, now feeling very much at home. If her opponent was going to play that way then Erin would gladly play along. She raised her fists and lunged forward, throwing two quick jabs towards Yamato's face. She doubted they would do much but she hoped to possibly open her foe up so she could follow up with a more powerful hit. Erin wasn't a boxer but she'd been in enough fights to know how to throw a punch.

Yamato's discipline and straightforward attitude led her to doing things by the book, so to speak. Her predisposition to do things like size up her opponent and approach them with more standard protocol and precision contrasted her against Erin's tendencies to act on instinct and desire rather than smarts and strategies. Even from the onset of the match, the way the two behaved, the contest looked to be one of discipline and technique versus raw strength and confidence.

Though it certainly didn't look that way thus far in the match. Yamato started things off by approaching her Irish foe and attempting to hit her with a stiff forearm! The leotard clad wrestler grunted as she committed to the strike. Erin managed to slip away just in time, narrowly avoiding the move and subsequently inviting the chance to get into a slugfest! Nadeshiko would smile as Erin put her fists up. When her opponent began to move towards her, Yamato would raise her arms as well. She would attempt to move her head, trying to dodge the jabs Erin aimed at her. The first punch would be dodges with a quick bob to the side, but the second punch would graze the Japanese Native's cheek. She's rub the red spot on her cheek once before lunging at Erin. Yamato would duck low as she charged in. This was done in an effort to avoid more jabs.

If she was able to close the distance and employ her signature speed, Yamato would attempt to wrap her arms around her foe's bare waist! She'd attempt to hug Quinn and plant her feet before trying to lift her. Yamato would try to lift her foe and take her down to the mat. She'd try to fall down with Erin, landing on top of her to try and pin her early on!

"Break this!"

Erin missed the first punch but managed to land a quick strike on her second attempt. "Gotcha! Now the follow up!" Erin yelled, clearly pumped up. The redhead had misjudged her opponent's speed though. As she began to wind up for another blow she saw Yamato charging towards her. While her opponent excelled in speed, that was something Erin severely lacked. The woman found herself taking Yamato head on, grunting as she was caught and lifted off the ground.

"Guughhh...Haaaah!" Erin groaned before yelping as she was slammed down to the mat. The redhead looked up to see her opponent lying right on top of her. If she didn't know any better she would have thought Yamato was going for a pin already. As she heard the referee slam the mat and start the count though she figured out what was happening. "Nnnng! Don't take me lightly!" Erin yelled. She would immediately drive her fist into Yamato's ribs, and if that didn't get a reaction she'd repeat the process with her other fist. She was looking to make it obvious that she wasn't a wrestler to be underestimated.

After throwing a few punches Erin needed to get Yamato off of her. She was hoping she could just shove the woman to the side. If all went well she might even be able to scramble to her feet before her opponent and have a hard knee to the gut waiting for Yamato when she got back up to her feet.

Re: Erin Quinn vs Yamato Nadeshiko

Yamato had taken initiative and tried to change the type of fight she was engaged in into something that would hopefully be closer to her element rather than Erin's. Just one punch from the red headed woman gave the Japanese native all the info she needed to know that standing there and boxing with Erin Quinn wasn't something she wanted to do. Instead, Yamato opted to take the fight to the ground. Managed to showcase her speed and get in close to her foe before grabbing her by the legs, lifting her, and taking her down! The crowd roared as the premier fighters of the LAW middleweight division went at it.

Yamato managed to land such that she was on top of Erin. She placed a hand on Quinn's shoulder and used her leverage to try push down to keep her foe technically pinned. Nadeshiko expected resistance, but she had hoped to catch her foe off guard. The ever-attentive referee dropped down and began to count.

"ONE!"

As soon as the official's hand slapped the mat, Erin began to hammer away at Yamato's side! The first punch made the black haired wrestler wince and hold her side! She tried to keep the Irish lass pinned, though she fully expected consecutive blows! Yamato held one of her sides as a second and third punch came, pushing her to side and off Erin's person!

"UGH!" Yamato groaned as she crossed her arms and held both her sides. She slowly began to work her way up to her feet, finding her way up to while doubling over slightly. In the process of finding her balance, Erin move in to capitalize by thrusting her knee into Nadeshiko's gut and forcing her back down into a kneeling position! Yamato would hold her toned abs with both hands while kneeling and leaning forwards and up against Erin's thick but appealing thighs. Despite earlier pin attempt, it seemed that the momentum swung back in Erin's favor!

"TWO!" The referee announced as Erin hammered away at her opponent. Swiftly after two she was able to push Yamato aside. A bit upset that she had almost been pinned so early the redhead scrambled to her feet and drove her knee into the other woman's stomach. Looking down at Yamato now it looked like she had softened up her foe sufficiently. "That'll teach ya to go for such an early pin." Erin teased, feeling a bit better now that her opponent was off of her.

Feeling her foe rest their head on her thighs Erin couldn't help but smirk. "Eyes up here." The Irish brawler said before lifting Yamato to stand up straight. She would grab the woman's arm and try to whip the woman towards the ropes. If she got Yamato moving the redhead would follow close behind, picking up as much speed as she could. While Erin wasn't anywhere close to the fastest, she would be able to gather quite a bit of momentum. As soon as Yamato rebounded off of the ropes Erin would leap into the air and aim a dropkick at her, hoping her momentum was enough to floor her foe.

Yamato getting a two count pin so early in the match certainly livened up the crowd. But it came at the expense of enduring a few strikes from the Irish Brawler, culminating in a hard knee that took her down. Despite Yamato being put in a compromising position leaning up against her foe's lower body, Erin found time to crack a quick joke. After earning a few chuckles from fans, Quinn grabbed hold of the Japanese Native's arm and pulled her up to her feet before sending her speeding towards the ropes with an Irish Whip! Yamato would normally find herself much more in her element in these types of situations. She built up speed and prepared herself to ricochet off the ropes and go for something big to turn the tides!

"UGGH!" Yamato groaned after turning around. Unfortunately for her, Erin had followed her after the Irish Whip. When the black haired Japanese wrestler had bounced off the ropes for her return trip, the Irish lass was ready to knock her down with a dropkick!

Nadeshiko would be kicked back towards the ropes! She'd bounce off the once more before falling forwards onto the canvas, laying there prone for moment, breathing heavily. Though it was still early in the match, the red headed brawler was already giving Yamato all she could handle. It was quickly becoming obvious to her that her opponents past the qualifiers would become tougher and tougher to beat. She'd have to dig deep and give it 110 percent if she was going to see this thing through to the end and become LAW's first Middleweight Champion of the world.
