Amy Henderson vs Vamp Suzumori - Raising the Stakes

It was once again time for Amy to step into the ring. The blonde wrestler was still going through a bit of a rocky start here at LAW, but she was determined to turn that around. Amy Henderson does not get bogged down. Not now, not ever. Donned in her signature light blue sports bra and matching briefs that she had grown accustomed to, she jumped out from behind the curtain to a decent amount of cheers from the crowd.

She may not have had the most stellar record here, but each of her matches thus far had still showcased how skilled she really was. It wasn't that she was out of her league, but rather that she had just fought someone who was a tad bit stronger. There was plenty of time for her to grow.

Clapping hands on the way to the ring, her music played behind her. Soon, she reached the squared circle and slid right in. She then raised her fist and pumped the crowd up yet again. Then, she made her way to her corner to await her opponent.

Once Amy had situated herself in the ring, the lights in the arena dimmed as Demon of Darkness started playing. Then, fog began to fill the entrance area before Vamp Suzumori made her way out, taking confident strides down the ramp. She displayed a self-assured, almost arrogant smile as she made her way down the ramp, heading over to the ring where she would be facing her opponent for tonight, Amy Henderson.

Soon, the petite self-proclaimed vampire arrived at the ring, and after climbing the apron, she rolled under the ropes before straightening herself up. Bringing her hand to her lips, making a rather elegant pose, she looked at the blonde young woman before her whom she would be facing tonight. She looked at her inquisitively, looking very curious about her opponent. Once Vamp was in the ring, the lights returned back to normal as her music stopped.

"So, are you going to be my sacrifice for tonight?" Vamp asked, smirking, displaying her fangs as she looked at Amy before her.

If Amy's opponent was going for an edgy, Gothic vibe with that entrance, then she very much nailed it. The blonde couldn't help be be impressed, even if she did find it to be a little weird and over-the-top.

The Vampire girl was much more petite than Amy was, but the girl in blue wasn't going to let that fool her. Until she could get a grasp on how this girl worked, Amy would need to play it safe.

On a separate note, the smaller girl seemed to be quite confident, perhaps even arrogant. She made that very clear with her words just now. "Well, I guess this means that a good-sportsman-like handshake is already off the table..." she muttered in an exasperated voice. Amy had learned that being a goody goody nice girl to her opponents wasn't really a good idea. It didn't mean she was going to abandon her honor, or refuse to reciprocate good sportsmanship when it was sent her way. It just meant that she wouldn't get ahead of herself.

In the end, all she hoped for a really good match.

"Sorry, Ms. Vampire," she shrugged, "I didn't get any memos about being a sacrifice. Guess that just means I'll have to win instead!"

Vamp retained her toothy smirk, showing that she was confident in her eventual victory in this match. She believed that she was superior compared to her opponent in every way, and for her to lose in this match was preposterous. "Hmph... your defiance will be your unmaking. Prepare to face the might of the Nightmare Princess!" She declared, pointing her finger at Amy. Now adopting the persona of a villainous heel, Vamp was going to make this a show to remember for everyone, with her ending up being the winner at the end of it.

After that, the referee would get between them and called them to the center of the ring, asking them if they were ready for the match or not. She would also give a brief explanation about the match and its rules before she stepped back, calling for the bell. Once the bell was rung, the match would begin. To start off the match, Vamp would try to deliver a swift kick aimed to the side of her opponent, hoping to catch her off-guard and leave her in pain.

The blonde may not have been extremely well traveled, but she believed that she had met enough people in her life to know when someone had a screw loose. Clearly, this girl had to be one of them. Of course, plenty of wrestlers liked to get into a character while they were in the ring, and there was always a chance that this girl was doing the same. But Amy hadn't really understood that line of thinking. If you couldn't be yourself in the ring, and you couldn't win as yourself, then what was the point of competing in the first place. It would be a lie.

Regardless of her feelings on the matter, no one else was going to wait for her to figure things out. The ref had called them to the center of the ring and explained the rules before calling for the bell so the match could begin.

DING! DING! DING!

Vamp started out strong with a sharp kick to the side of Amy's body. The girl in blue barely had time to get her arm up to block it, and could therefore only partially do so. Even then, the parts that did connect stung pretty badly. "Ack!" Right off the bat, Amy could tell that this girl's strength was the real deal. She definitely could not be underestimated!

Amy herself would retaliate with a similar kick to Vamp's side, hoping to show the girl that she meant business as well!

Delivering a kick to Amy's side as soon as the bell was rung, Vamp managed to land her kick, though her opponent immediately retaliated with a kick of her own, and Vamp grunted as she took the hit. Still, her smirk retained as she stepped back, mostly unaffected by the kick. "Heh... so you're not a weakling, after all..." Vamp said, praising Amy's strength in a roundabout way.

Maintaining the distance between her and her opponent, Vamp would then shimmy to the side, trying to find an opening that she could use in order to land her hit. Then, she would step back, raising both her hands as she would attempt to deliver a hook right at Amy's face. Considering that she had adequate training in boxing, Vamp would try to make use of her skill in order to gain advantage over her opponent.

Pretty confident in her own strength, Amy landed her kick on the Vampire girl. However, much to her dissatisfaction, it seemed less effective than she thought it would be. Still, the other girl praised her on it, so perhaps it wasn't completely ineffective. "Gee, thanks..." It was hard to trust this girl's words, though.

As the two circled around each other, it was Vamp who would go for the first strike. Amy was pretty good at defending herself, and she kept her guard up tightly as the two measured each other up.

However, as guarded as she was, Vamp's boxing skills were not to be underestimated. As Amy tried to block the incoming hook, it was just a bit to fast. it slipped through her guard and nailed her right in the jaw! "UGH!" The girl in blue stumbled backwards, seeing some stars from being rocked by that punch.

Vamp managed to deliver her hook, hitting Amy right at her jaw. Seeing her opponent stumbling backwards, Vamp saw an opportunity that she wouldn't let slip past her as she would then go for her next attack, which was a short-arm clothesline, in which she would rush towards her opponent before attempting to hit her with her arm, hoping that Amy would fall backwards due to her staggering backwards earlier.

If she managed to knock the blue-clad wrestler down, Vamp planned to get to her side before attempting to hit her with a stomp right into her exposed belly, hoping to make her lose her breath.

Still dazzled by the hook, Amy had no choice but to take the short-arm clothesline. "Guh!" She fell to the mat, coughing a little from the hit. Then, Vamp's boot came down hard onto Amy's exposed midsection. "GUHOUACK!" Her body bucked up from the hit.

The moves were pretty brutal, but what hurt Amy the most was the fact that she allowed them to go through. At her skill level, she figured that she could do pretty well with keeping up. However, Vamp still found a chink in her armor.

Rolling away, Amy attempted to get back to her feet. She needed to get back on the offence soon, or run the risk of being unable to get the ball rolling. Should she make it, she would return to her defensive stance, and look to send a kick to an undefended area of the vampire girl's body as soon as she got in range.

Stomping hard into Amy's belly after knocking her down with her clothesline earlier, Vamp could feel that the match was in her favor. But then, she saw Amy rolling away, and Vamp groused, knowing that she couldn't simply let her opponent go like that. She would follow after her, looking to continue dealing damage on her body.

But when she got closer as Amy rose back up on her feet, Vamp received a kick at the side of her body, eliciting a cry of pain from the petite vampire. "GWAH!!" Grimacing, she tried to retaliate with a kick of her own, hoping to send it right at the side of Amy's body.
