Sanae Saitou vs. Gosu Umi [D]

Even when she was back in the ring, Sanae was by no means off the hook. She was still trying to recenter herself from being thrown down with the bodyslam, and her head was spinning. She didn't know whether she wanted to thank Gosu for showing mercy or not, but it didn't matter; she couldn't get any word in edgewise when the next thing she knew, Gosu had come down hard on her stomach, causing her to buck up from the mat with a cough and a wheeze as she clutched her gut. The air had been knocked out of her, setting her up for the next stage of her opponent's plan.

As she was being pulled up into a seated position, Sanae's eyes were glazed over, and her body slumped heavily. Her face was flushed and she panted for breath, gasping and gagging. But her torments weren't over yet, as Gosu got her arms in place around her throat and pulled her up! If she was having a hard time breathing before, this was no better. The blood ran to Sanae's face as sweat ran down her neck and forehead, her knees wobbling beneath her. She shuddered through her clenched teeth, and her hands went to grab for Gosu's arms to try and pull her away. "Ghhk..!! Let...go-!" Even if she could escape, though, Sanae would have nowhere to go. Gosu had whittled down her energy, and she was struggling to keep up.

Even now, Gosu was keeping her guessing. Sanae wouldn't really care which move would hit her next at this point, but it seemed like the dark-haired girl wanted to play with her expectations. Even if she had her set up for a dragon sleeper, she would instead take her down with a DDT. But whatever the move was, it hurt all the same! She fell with a scream. Sanae's head hit the mat with a clunk, and the rest of her body followed soon after, coming to rest as she crumpled in a heap.

As Sanae asked Gosu to release her, Gosu wasn't too keen on being merciful at this point in the match. "I apologize but you must understand... there is no mercy in wrestling you have to keep fighting. " Gosu would tell her opponent in a rather endearing voice as she dropped Sanae back down to the mat with a rather impactful reverse DDT. Sanae seemed helpless as she crumpled down on impact and wasn't really getting up showing Gosu had taken control of this matchup.

"huuuhhh...Don't expect other's to show mercy.. otherwise you'll never get to where you want to be" As Sanae lay there Gosu knelt down to say a small prayer for her opponent "She may not win tonight but provide her with tools for success so that she may one day redeem herself another day." Gosu proceeded onward with the attack in hopes of putting her opponent away so early in this match as she grabbed her opponent by the hair and pulled Sanae up to her feet only to irish whip her towards the ropes in hopes that she would rebound back to her Gosu would setup for her signature move Fists of Fury.

Sanae only had a few brief moments to ponder what she'd just heard from Gosu. While she certainly believed in the value of fighting on, she was unsure how good of an effort she was capable of putting up against her opponent - and more to the point, it was hard to think straight when she had an arm around her throat that was making it difficult to breathe! She choked and gagged, but soon, her suffering was relieved - if only to be replaced with something just as bad, as she was thrown down into the mat hard, the impact shaking her.

Even then, Gosu appeared to have some respect for Sanae, offering a few words to no one in particular in support of her. Sanae had no idea who she was talking to, or what the purpose of it was, but the thought of it was inspiring. While she and Gosu may have taken different sides in the ring, the dark-haired girl still had a belief that she could go far. Even if her body was sore, Sanae told herself she was going to make good on that hope. She wasn't out yet, and there was still a chance to turn things around!

One again she was hauled up by the hair. She winced at the pain, as well as the thought of how her hairstyle had to be completely ruined by this point; she wasn't looking forward to straightening out all the stray strands afterward. But as she was whipped across the ring, bouncing off the ropes and coming back toward Gosu, Sanae was struck with inspiration! She knew how she could turn this to her advantage. Gosu's words echoed in her ears, and with a silent nod, she committed herself to success. Before she would come into range of Gosu's next move, Sanae would let out a battle cry, jumping into the air and kicking her legs out ahead of her in the hopes she could snare Gosu's head with her thighs and pull her to the mat with a flying headscissor takedown!

As Gosu pushed Sanae back towards the ropes to set her up for the Fists of Fury. Sanae let out a rather uncharacteristic roar which certainly caught Gosu's attention as she realized Sanae was reaching her climax (not that kind of climax of course) where she seemed to be on her last legs making for final effort to turn the tables. As Sanae bounced off the ropes and leaped towards Gosu with her legs out.

"What is she doin- oh! Woah?!" Gosu wondering what Sanae was planning immediately noticed what looked to be a dropkick was more of a headscissors which caught her off guard as Sanae used the strength to gain the momentum between her and Gosu's body. And suddenly Sanae was able to propel Gosu off her feet and flip her over to her back with a flying scissors takedown.

Sanae might not have been the scariest of wrestlers. She was small, cute, pretty, and energetic. But that didn't mean she wasn't determined to do her best and to fight against all odds - and it was about time to prove to Gosu and to everyone that she still meant business! She came charging back at the dark-haired girl, emboldened to show what she was capable of. In a display of her athletic prowess, she kicked off the mat and flew toward Gosu to snap her legs into place around her head. Then, riding off her momentum, Gosu was taken off her feet and down under Sanae, still with her legs wrapped around her head.

She smiled wider, confident that she had things under control now. Childhood gymnastics lessons, it seemed, had paid off. The cheers coming from the stands didn't hurt, of course. Now that she had Gosu down, Sanae wasn't about to let her go. She would only clench her thighs down tighter, pushing up off the canvas to bridge her back in the hopes of adding even more force!

As Gosu didn't necessarily stick the landing after taking the flying scissors takedown. She realized something Sanae hadn't let go and low and behold she began to tighten the grip on her neck. "Oh she's going for the kill... Good but I can't afford that right now" Gosu would think to herself as she needed to make it back up to her feet to really put her opponent away and not waste time. Otherwise she'll be witness to a comeback. "That was a good move Sanae, your family should be proud! BUt I've got... a... match to win so no hard feelings! Ghaaaahhhhh!!!!!" Gosu would say as she lifted her legs up and pulled back to latch onto Sanae's midsection with a scissors of her own, she wasn't looking to tighten her grip as she mad an attempt to pull the green haired girl back in an attempt to pin Sanae with a scissors take down of her own.


If successful Gosu would call the official in for the pinfall count to get things moving.

Sanae held firm, her legs wrapped around Gosu's throat as she pushed herself up from the ground. She clenched her teeth, her body tensing and straining as she deepened her focus, but she knew it was what needed to be done. She needed to prove herself capable, and to put her opponent in her place, and she would do whatever it took for that!

Despite her best efforts, though, Gosu was still fighting back. Sanae was pleased to hear Gosu praising her, but she wouldn't have much room to respond when she was devoting all her energy to ensuring that the dark-haired girl stayed down and under control. Though she fought to keep her grip, Sanae could still feel Gosu's head slipping inch by inch out of her hold. She bit down on the inside of her cheek, trying to focus - but she couldn't avert fate, as Gosu kicked up with her own legs, snaring Sanae around the waist! The aspiring idol let out a gasp at the sensation, and soon, she felt herself being slammed back into the canvas as Gosu struck her down with a jerk of her body, her shoulders landing against the mat!

Sanae panted for breath, trying to recover. She was taken aback by such a display of strength, and for a moment, she lay stunned and sore. Her legs began to slip off of Gosu's head as she was dizzied by the impact. But soon, Sanae was shaken back to the present when she heard a sound nearby - the sound of the referee beginning to count a pin!

"One!"

With a determined look crossing her face, Sanae sucked in a breath. She couldn't let herself just go down like this! She pushed up with her hips, looking to kick out of the pin. "You're not going to keep me down!"

As Gosu had her opponent setup for the pin, Sanae seemed dazed an confused for the moment until she heard the pinfall count by the official. And soon she knew she needed to get back up, and so she did by pushing her hips to kick upwards to bring herself out of the pin. "Wha- still? You have my credit for such tenacity but I cannot allow you to continue any longer... I'm truly sorry" Gosu would say in an endearing voice almost taking pity on her.

Gosu would get back up only to position herself and wait for the green haired fighter to get up to her knees. Only to return the favor with one of her own, if Sanae didn't notice in time Gosu would capitalize her momentum by coming at Sanae with a shining wizard. "hyah!!!" Gosu yell as she charged toward her fellow rookie. "Its time I finish this bout so I can make the next step and fight my way to the belt..."

Shaking Gosu off of her was enough to give Sanae a rush, as she grinned wider, seeing she stood a chance after all! It had been a tough match thus far, and one that looked like it could go in anyone's favor - but just as Gosu looked like she would take control, Sanae had disrupted her pin attempt, stealing back some hope for her. Even Gosu seemed surprised, something that caused Sanae to smile wider - but that air would be let out of the bag a moment later, when she heard Gosu apologize to her.

Sanae didn't know if Gosu was being sarcastic or not, but either way, she pouted; she didn't like being talked down to. She huffed, shooting a glare back at Gosu as she straighened herself to her knees. "You'll see how I feel about th-"

But she was cut off mid-sentence, as Gosu charged at her before hopping onto her knee and delivering a swift kick to the head! Sanae's proud boast abruptly turned to a scream, as she was thrown backward, slammed onto her back once again. And now, at full mercy of her opponent!

"You and I have a lot to learn as rookies in this league and in good time we will come to understand our strengths as fighters but for now I'll settle with the pin fall because I can never underestimate my opponents!" Gosu would tell her fallen opponent as she laid there helplessly ready for Gosu to do whatever she wanted, Gosu felt an urge lingering in the back of her head almost like a second mind whispering at her to do it, have her way with Sanae. Gosu simply froze for a moment and said "No...No! Why would I do that?!" Gosu would say out loud as the crowd eventually went silent as that was enough for Gosu to regain her composure and call the official for the pin count.

Gosu grabbed both legs and lifted them up for the pin as the official looked at Gosu with a strange glare until the ultimately began counting down to the finish line.

ONE?!

TWO?!

Things weren't looking good for Sanae in this one will she make it out?
