An (Un)pleasant Surprise

"My track record gives a...NNNGH....good indication of how 'invincible I am." Lara shot back, her forearms tense and muscles bulging as she struggled against Yoko on the bed. The pair of warriors struggled back and forth for some time, pushing and pulling against one another to try and offset the other and gain the upper hand. With every movement, Lara felt her legs sink into the mattress, leaving the explorer to carefully manage her footing.

A sudden hard shove sent Lara reeling, stumbling over to the edge of the bed, and almost falling to the hard floor as a result! Lara teetered on the edge of the bed, arms flailing and before she realized what she was doing, reached out to grab Yoko by the wrist!

The two women tried to overpower the other, but once Yoko got her footing in place, the burst of force seemed to have caught Lara ill prepared and before Yoko knew it, she noticed that she was already pushing her opponent off the bed, which for a split second left her a little confused. She processed the questions like ''does it count as a ringout?''.

Using that moment of hesitation, Lara used it to her advantage to grab a hold onto Yoko's wrist. Nnyyaah! With a yelp, Yoko started falling off the bed together with her arguably lethal rival. Lara fell on her back, on the hard floor in comparison to the bed. Yoko's landing was a little softer as it was softened by Lara's body that got sandwiched as a result. Ooah! Yoko let out. It didn't take too long for Yoko to scramble to secure her position. She would try and sit up to straddle her opponent. If she managed that, she would start throwing lefts and rights at Lara's cheeks, one after another. They prefer us to fight on the bed but... I'm just itching to wipe that cocky attitude off your face! Yoko would declare before she'd start throwing punches.

When Lara grabbed onto Yoko's wrist, she had been hoping to keep herself on the bed, thus avoiding a rather painful fall to the floor. Apparently the redhead wasn't exactly stable with her footing either, as the pair of them careened over the side, with Lara crashing hard into the floor and having her opponent slam on top of her, driving the air from her lungs and leaving her stunned momentarily! Between that and the hard knock to the back of the head, Croft was too stunned to stop the first punch from slamming into her jaw, snapping her head to the side. ANother cracked into her cheek, snapping it the other way. Again and again Yoko kept up the ground and pound, easily getting in half a dozen solid hits before Lara even managed to shield her face, but by then the damage had already been done!

Yoko was on top of her rival that she both hated and respected to an extent. Feeling her knuckles bombard Lara's face with punches felt ecstatic. A half evil grin appeared on Yoko's face, even the skin on Yoko's knuckles began to chafe. Where did your cocky attitude go, Lara? She asked while throwing punches until she decided to change targets. Yoko would stop punching the case and wind up a punch to strike down hard into Lara's solar plexus

All that time... All that money it cost me... All that pain and injury I sustained... It was for nothing! I did not get paid a single cent because of YOU! Yoko would direct her hatred into the punch.
