Firebrand was hoping for a challenge in her debut, and by God, she was getting one. Her opponent charged her and soon kneed her into the chest, sending her into the corner, that was the last thing he should've done, the corner is where she thrived in, if Finlay charged, she would hit him in the head with a kick...

Finlay narrowed his eyes at Firebrand following the knee strike to her chest. Being sent into the corner he knew that was a bad place to leave her in, from what he heard she was highly proficient in high flying moves. Not wanting to take any chances he knew he had to get her away from there and into the middle of the ring which was more his territory. Deciding to rush her he would dash at her to try and grab her around the waist and pull her away. However the firecracker was as tactical as she was atheltic. As he neared his fellow blonde the younger girl would swing her leg up nailing him in the side of the head. “Gah!” He yelled turning to the side and dropping to a knee while holding his head, stunned from the sudden kick and open for whatever Firebrand had planned

Firebrand knew she had to take advantage of this opportunity quickly. Firebrand rushed to where Finlay was knelt, hoping to blindside him with a scissors kick, if that was successful, she would clamp down with a head scissors.

Finlay groaned as he was on one hand and his knees rubbing the side of the head following Firebrand’s kick to it. Before he could properly make his way to his feet he was blindsided by a follow up kick this time to the back of his head. Groaning face first against the mat he groaned and clawed at her thighs once more. Thinking quickly he would push himself to the side to try and turn them on their stomach. If succesful he would hold her legs tightly and pull down while yanking his head up to try and pry his head from her thighs. If successful in doing so he’d proceed to tuck her legs under his arms for a boston crab hold

Firebrand's strategy was to keep moving, and wear her opponent down, Finlay wasn't having any of that, as she soon found her momentum halted in a boston crab. It hurt, but, she wasn't going to give up right now, She crawled to the ropes and grabbed the bottom rope. What she was going to do now, was anyone's guess, including Firebrand herself.

Finlay smirked as he pulled back on Firebrand’s legs bending her back. It made for a satisfactory revenge for the scissor holds the younger blonde had inflcited on him earlier in the match. However all great things came to an end as he heard the ref say Firebrand grabbed the ropes. Looking over his shoulders to confirm that she had indeed done so causing him to release her legs and stand up letting her free of the hold. Turning to face her Finlay would wait for Firebrand to stand up and face him before continuing the battle

Firebrand knew this wasn't going to be easy, hell, she anticipated a challenge. She staggered up to her feet and faced Finlay head-on. Finlay was no doubt stronger than her, so a lock-up would be suicide. Firebrand decided to launch herself from the ropes with a quick clothesline attempt.

Finlay smirked as hevsaw Firebrand get to her feet. She was pretty tough from what he can tell for a lightweight and he respected that, especially due to not giving her much credit at the start of the match. As she came at him for a flying clothesline he would duck forward avoiding the the clothesline and barreling to the ropes. Turning on his heels and bouncing off them himself he would charge forward and jump up going for a missile drop kick

Firebrand missed the clothesline, and before she could react, she got hit by a dropkick, sending her once again to the mat. She laid on the mat for a bit, but, then sat up, "Well met!" she exclaimed as she sat there catching her breath. She was legitimately impressed by Finlay.

After nailing the dropkick straight to the younger blonde’s back Finlay immediately kipped up back to a standing position kntent on keeping his eyes on the girl knowing he couldn’t afford to underestimate her. As he did he noticed the way she was already sitting up despite pain that must be rocking through her as a result of the drop kick, even flashing him a bright smile and equally bright response. “Heh thanks.” He said with a soft tone legitimately impressed by her enduranfe and attitude. But he wasn’t gonna let her off easy. Dashing forward the blonde would lower himself and go to grab her around the torso trying to pin her srms to her sides while lifting her up in a crushing bearhug. “Though you haven’t seen anything yet!” He said if succcessful in locking the squeeze in on his pixie like opponet.
