The Emperor vs the Hound! Kanji vs Conner

Today the LAW arena was buzzing with activity at tonights match was about to begin. It was to be a double debut match between 'Emperor' Kanji Tatsumi and Conner Reilly 'The Hound'. Not only was it a double debut, but one between two men to boot, very rare in LAW. This was quite a rare occurrence, so it drummed up quite a bit of interest from LAW fans.

The lights dimmed as the match was ready to start "On his way to the ring, weighing in at 163 pounds, 'Emperor' Kanji Tatsumi!!" On que Kanji strode out onto the top of the ramp, holding a folding chair in one hand. Kanji was a well built youth who gave off an intimidating aura, he looked like the kind of guy who would jump you if you looked at him funny. He held up the chair high into the air as if it was a flag and let out a yell. He tossed the chair aside (since this wasn't a weapons match) and marched his way down to the ring.

He climbed through the ropes and entered the ring, giving the referee a deep glare as he did so. He walked into the corner and turned to face the ramp, awaiting the entrance of his opponent for tonight. Although on the outside he looked ready to kick ass, in reality he was quite nervous "Damn there's so many people, this is freaking scary" is more or less what he was really thinking. Still, he gave no indication of that on the outside as Conner made his entrance.

Conner, meanwhile was lounging around backstage, boredom written all over his face. Yeah he was the new muscle brought in to help Maria Castillo watch over her little band of Misfit Jobbers. Still didn't make guard duty any less boring. Don't get him wrong. The young wrestlers were entertaining in their own right. It's just someone like him craved some action...in both meanings of the word. So here he was, wrestling a good looking guy in front of hundreds of people for a payday that would at least nail him a nice dinner. Can't really argue with that. Slapping his cheeks, the mercenary made his way out to the ramp with generic visitor music, having not decided on a proper theme. Didn't seem to bother the audience, who all gaped at the handsome, blue haired man as he swaggered toward the ring.

"And his opponent, weighing in at 150 pounds. He hails from the mountains of Ireland, CONNER OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO' Reilly!" called the announcer, to the sound of polite applause and quite a few wolf whistles. Winking to the audience, Conner rolled in, cracking his neck and getting back up to his feet, casting a glance over at Kanji, "Nothing personal kid. Gotta win this match."

As Conner made his way to the ring he would be able to feel eyes on him coming from the ring as Kanji's gaze was locked on to him. The young man gave off an intimidating aura as he watched Conner walk down the ramp and into the ring. The look he gave Conner was to intense that someone who didn't know any better might mistake it for murderous intent. In truth he was actually quite nervous; he had never wrestled in front of a crowd this large before. In fact, he had never done anything in front of a crowd this large before. He muttered slowly to himself under his breath, hyping himself up and trying to calm his nerves. This gave him the appearance of someone up to no good, someone who was plotting nefarious deeds.

Kanji's startling appearance might have caused a lesser man to hesitate to get into the ring with him, but clearly Conner wasn't a lesser man as he sauntered in, seemingly without a care in the world. As he addressed Kanji and told him that he had to win Kanji shifted his weight forward and gave out a loud exclamation "Huuuuuuuuuh!?! That's too bad for you, cuz I'm gonna bash in your pretty face!" He then realised that he just called a man pretty and stuttered for a second, but quickly recovered and chose to just keep his mouth shut and wait for the bell to ring.

Conner's lips twitched when he heard THAT little slip up, leaning forward with a raised eyebrow, "Oho.......hold your horses buddy. Gotta buy me dinner first before you get close to all of me....but we can discuss a date after our match if it's all the same to you...."

THe ref called for the bell, and the Hound was on the move, barreling forward like his vicious namesake, aiming to careen RIGHT into Kanji and CRUSH him into the corner. Hey...he was the muscle after all. Might as well make a show of it. When Maria hired him, she made menton that certain unsavory people may make a move on her or her students. Best now to make it clear that she didn't waste her money or time by choosing him

Unfortunately for Kanji Conner had not missed his little slip of the tongue and was quick to tease him for it, causing the blonde's cheeks to momentarily light up in embarrassment "All right, that's enough out you, clown." he growled, glaring threateningly at Conner. When the bell rang Kanji began to slowly walk towards Conner, but the Hound clearly had different plans for what pace he wanted the match to start at and came at Kanji like a bat out of hell. Or a dog out of hell rather.

Conner intended to crush Kanji into the corner by overwhelming him with a fast attack right out of the gate, but Kanji had other plans. Planting his feet solidly on the ground and shifting his weight not unlike a sumo wrestler he would take Conner head on, only shifting back a few inches, a feat which paled in comparison to Connor's original intent. Grinning in Connor's face, Kanji would raise his knee aiming to strike the Hound in his stomach.

Bodies crashed in the ring with a heavy slap, Conner digging his heels in to crush Kanji in the corner! But.....Kanji barely moved! The hell? Before the Hound managed to make contact, Kanji had somehow planted himself down like a tree, and took the brunt of the tackle with barely any damage done at all! Conner didn't even have a moment to process this when a heavy knee strike slammed into his gut, doubling him over and bringing the Hound down momentarily! Growling, he sent a rather nasty open palmed strike right for his opponent's unprotected jaw!

The look of shock on Conner's face as Kanji managed to catch his tackle while barely moving was priceless. What was worth even more to him though was the knee to Conner's stomach that followed up, causing the blue haired mercenary to double over. Thinking that he had created an opening for himself, Kanji lifted his hands over his head and balled his fists together, preparing to swing them down like an axe-handle over Conner's head. But it turned out that Conner was not as stunned as Kanji had thought and struck the blonde mid-swing with an open palm strike right in the jaw, snapping his head right up and interrupting the attempted attack.

Conner's attack had left certainly hurt Kanji, but he was not out. If Conner went to follow up on his attack Kanji would swing his head down with all the force of a lightning bolt, aiming to strike Conner with a devastating headbutt. If the attack was successful it would certainly hurt both fighters, but Kanji was betting on it hurting Conner a lot more than it hurt him.

CRACK!

The headbutt made the entire crowd wince, the blow sending the Hound stumbling back a few feet, one hand clutching his forehead! His vision was going double for a moment, an odd ringing in his ears...no surprise given he got his bell rung easily. Still the savage smile didn't diminish. This hound had smelled blood and he was itching for a fight now. Growling out, he locked up with Kanji, throwing hard knees right up into the midsection!

The crack that sounded out as Kanji and Conner's skulls collided rang out through the entire arena, earning Conner some sympathetic "Ooooh's" and "Oof's" for being on the receiving end of such a blow. Conner was stunned from the attack, stumbling back and clutching his head in pain, this was a very opportune time for Kanji to follow up and dish out some more pain. Unfortunate then, that Kanji was also clutching his head in pain, gritting his teeth "Crap, that hurt!" Kanji looked up at Conner and his pained grimace turned into a wide grin "You're worse off though!"

Kanji made a mental note to experiment with headbutting more, that is assuming he didn't knock out any more of his brain cells in this match, and started skulking over to Conner. As the two met in the middle they locked up together. Kanji began to push against Conner, only to be cut off when he was struck with a knee to the stomach "Gah!!" the force of the blow forced him to lurch forward. Another knee soon followed, but this time Kanji knew it was coming and tensed his abs beforehand, it still hurt like a motherfucker but Kanji was less stunned and only let out a grunt rather than crying out. Determined to dish out as much as he took, Kanji retaliated with a knee of his own that flew like a missile towards Conner's stomach.

"Heh......got ya."

COnner's savage grin flashed once more, sidestepping the knee and wrapping his toned arms around Kanji's waist! He gave a quick squeeze to press that handsome stud flush against his own muscular body. With a heave, he lifted Kanji up and back, arching his body to plant him dead center of the ring with a german suplex! The impact shook the ring to it's core, with the audience giving out a modest amount of applause for such a smooth counter into the suplex! Knowing it was too early to go for a pin, he shoved Kanji off, rolling to all fours where his insane grin lay bare for all to see!
