A knightly affair

Sophie let out a short giggle as Yoko realised her bike wasn't here. "I guess we both need some at this point." she agreed as Yoko's head slumped momentarily. Soon after the girl's offer came and with Yoko's insistence earlier, the Paladin simply couldn't refuse, even as Yoko's odd wording caught her notice. Did Yoko think of her as a delicious snack? Was it an oddly-phrased compliment? Or she just meant that jackasses thought of her that way? This thinking delayed her answer by a second, but sure enough, she agreed to the company. "Well, you really don't have to go through all that trouble for me but... the company would be nice..."

She happily held Yoko's hand and listened to her story as they walked. Even before she had to remind herself not to stare, but now with Boota popping out and acting as if he understood what was being talked about, Sophie couldn't take her gaze off Yoko's impressive cleavage. In the company of the beautiful redhead, it seemed like barely any time had passed and yet Yoko's story finished and the pair was already getting close to Sophie's home.

"Well, what is there not to like?" Sophie commented on Yoko's final question, her tiredness making the compliment come out more easily than with her normal inhibitions. Even as she yawned from tiredness, she couldn't help but wish this nightly walk would last even longer. Not wanting to let an awkward silence set in between them, Sophie soon brought up another topic. "How did you end up in LAW, Yoko? It's not exactly the most common career path after all." There was maybe time for one more story before the pair would reach Sophie's home.

Taking Sophie's hand, Yoko and Sophie took another walk in the middle of the night. As they went, Yoko was sharing her thoughts on animal handling and her pet Boota. The redhead wasn't quite sure whether the blonde was interested or not, due to it being pretty dark here, but she did have a comment when it came to Yoko's breasts. For a moment, Yoko blushed, but it was probably kept hidden under the darkness of the night. Uhm, are we going the right way? Yoko wasn't sure who was leading the way here. Sure, Sophie probably didn't want to drag Yoko, but it didn't feel like she was leading her either, so Yoko had her concerns...

After it was clear that the story was all said and done, Sophie brought up another topic. How did end up in LAW..? Hmmm... How DID I end up LAW? Let's see... I think I've already mentioned that I'm a bit of a rough girl, mostly due to the circumstances. So, it means that i knew how to fight and there's no great secret that I have the right curves in the right places. So, the two most important categories checked out for LAW - the looks and the brawn. So, when they took notice of me, they were pretty interested in me, they threw in the bike that i have for free in the contract. Fun fact, because of that bike I managed to arrive to my debut match barely on time even when I got up real late.
As for the before they took notice of me and my reasons for joining aside from the good offer... Well, after my dad's passing, the life wasn't very gentle on us, our arms shop got literally blown up, followed by critical shortages of money which led me into joining the army and after a while getting kicked out of it due to my ''stubborn dressing etiquette.'' I was regularly hitting the gym and every now and then, unknown fact to me at the time, there were some more well known people from LAW coming in to work out, sometimes followed by their managers and other officials, who also probably kept an eye for fresh meat. So, I guess I was that fresh meat that they were looking for...

While Sophie certainly was sleepy she wasn't so dazed that she would let themselves wander astray. In fact, she probably never felt so melancholy at the thought of approaching her home so closely as the lovely walk with Yoko drew to a close. As she heard the girl's story Sophie found it difficult to find words to reply, not expecting such a sad story, and especially one told surprisingly casually. "Oh, I'm sorry... I guess that makes sense." She stumbled on the words. It simply didn't feel right to follow up with her own story that was much more on the happy side of things.

Meanwhile, the girls were coming up on the LAW living complex where Sophie's room was. "I'm in Building 2 room 8, that way." She told said out loud, pointing towards one of the closer LAW residences, a little glad she could change the topic. "But I doubt we'd run into any trouble here, so you can go home now, I'll be fine on my own." It was obvious at a glance even under the imperfect light coming from the street lamps that Yoko (just like Sophie) was starting to get quite sleepy. The Paladin did not want to take up any more of her time.

"Hopefully I'll be seeing you around some more..." The end of the sentence sounded more like an insecure question than an innocent greeting. While Yoko did everything to reassure her it was hard to vanquish all lingering doubts the Paladin had about her the redhead's feelings.

Yoko was lost in her own story and didn't quite notice Sophie's reaction until the blonde responded. Yoko realized that she killed the mood. Eh... Life is a one big joke and I've learned to take a joke...
Yoko followed Sophie into her place. looking around. Everything looked familiar, Yoko was here not all that long ago after all... Yeah, I'll be going then, but before that... The girls were saying their goodbyes, but Yoko had one more thing in mind. Yoko would try to be quick, but smooth in her motion, she would wrap her arms around Sophie and settle her hands on the big girl's back and shoulders. She would then lean in and even stand on her toes just to reach Sophie's lips with her own and give a lengthy, passionate kiss. Mmhmmm... If Sophie did not back out, Yoko would make out with her for several seconds until she would back away. I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again. Yoko would say with red cheeks and a smile.
