Yuki Onna vs. Michiko Shimizu - Breaking Momentum

Even though she managed to avoid taking damage from her opponent's counter, Yuki still left herself wide open for Michiko to capitalize on. Trying to sense her opponent's whereabouts, she momentarily lowered her guard, which was an opportunity that Michiko quickly seized as she immediately went to make her move, rebounding herself from the ropes before launching herself towards Yuki, using her momentum from her rebound to hit her with a knee to her jaw!

When Yuki realized it, it was already too late as Michiko's knee made its contact on her jaw. "GUGHH!!!" Her entire world was shaken from the strike, and she was taken down, slumping against the mat thanks to the attack. With her now taken down, Yuki was unable to do anything to protect herself against whatever Michiko would do next. This would put her in a rather dangerous position, and if she couldn't come up with something, she might end up losing this early!

This was Michiko's chance. The baton had passed to her, as Yuki had left a lull in the pace of her attacks; now Michiko had the opportunity she needed to move. Based on what she'd seen from her opponent thus far, the lilac-haired girl knew that she was going to need to strike fast, and to strike hard. As she leaned back against the ropes, using them to sling herself forward, she closed in on Yuki - and, raising her knee just in time, she was able to deliver on her promises, sending a rattling blow into Yuki's jaw before she could rise!

With a loud cry, Yuki fell to the ground, with a number of voices in the audience cheering for Michiko as she took back control. Still riding on the momentum, Michiko continued to run on past Yuki, but she was just as eager to play to the excitement of her fans. Hopping up onto the bottom rope as she neared the other side of the ring, Michiko waved with a smile, catching a few camera flashes, before she turned around to see where Yuki had fallen. So far, she thought, riding on the momentum of the ropes was doing her well, so she might as well keep that up. Michiko pushed her body up against the ropes once again to spring her toward Yuki, this time looking to throw herself down on top of her and strike with an elbow drop as she neared where she had fallen!

Yuki took a hit to the jaw, and she was down. Groaning, Yuki remained on the mat as she struggled to recover, and at this moment, Michiko took this opportunity to keep up with her momentum by moving past her before going towards the ropes. Using the ropes, Michiko sprung herself up into the air before bringing down an elbow drop right into Yuki's body.

"GUAHH!!!"

Yuki cried out in pain as she took the elbow drop. The attack had dealt quite a damage on the cerulean-haired wrestler, and as a result, she remained on the mat, writhing in agony. She gritted her teeth as she tried to soothe the pain, though at this point, she became an easy target for Michiko to attack after this.

Michiko saw her chance, and she was ready to take it. While her own speed was hardly any slouch, pressing herself up against the ropes added the extra push to send her charging forward, and soon she was closing in on where Yuki had fallen. Jumping off the ground, she brought her elbow down into the blue-haired woman's gut, and she felt her body collapse under her, as she crumpled against the canvas!

Picking herself back up from Yuki, Michiko pumped a fist in the air, taking in the cheers of the crowd as her supporters applauded her for taking back control. She, too, was excited for this, letting out an excited "YES!" From there, though, she still had plenty of work to do. Grabbing Yuki by the arm, she looked to haul her opponent back to her feet. If that was successful, Michiko would then lean in to grab her by the leg as well, going to hoist her up into a suplex!

Yuki was breathless as she was on the mat, gasping for air. This gave Michiko an opportunity to keep up with her attack as she then grabbed Yuki by her arm before she pulled her up. Once she was on her feet, Yuki found herself being held by Michiko in a set up for a suplex, with her leg grabbed before she was hoisted up and thrown into the mat.

"UWAGH!!"

Yuki cried out as her body crashed into the canvas. The move had taken a large chunk of her strength, and if released, she would writhe in pain on the mat. Her brow scrunched up as she tried to overcome the pain, but at the moment, she was vulnerable to whatever Michiko would try to do after this. She could only hope that she could recover fast enough before Michiko made her next move.

Grabbing Yuki and hoisting her into the air, Michiko threw her weight backwards, sending the two of them into the mat with a ring-shaking thud. The crowd had to wince at such a site, with Michiko putting the full brunt of the fall against her opponent's back. Her physical power was her strongest attribute, after all, and even a move as simple as this one would hit with punishing force!

She let go of Yuki as soon as the two had fallen, rolling to her knees. She wiped the sweat off her brow, finally having a moment in this pitched battle to collect herself. However, Michiko knew that such a reprieve wouldn't last long, and that she'd have to make the most of her time. Now that Yuki was on her back, Michiko went to roll on top of her, holding her shoulders and hooking her leg to go for a pin!

Yuki was brought down into the mat with a suplex, and she tried to recover from the impact of her landing. As she did so, her opponent decided to try going for the pin, rolling on top of her, hooking her leg and making sure that Yuki's shoulders were on the mat. Seeing that, the referee immediately started counting, slapping the mat.

"ONE!"

But it wouldn't be enough to take Yuki out just yet as she would kick out before two. Bucking her legs and getting one of her shoulders off the mat, the referee stopped counting, and the match would still continued. Grunting, Yuki would try to push Michiko off of her so that she could get her mind back in order and get herself back into the fight.

Going for the pin, Michiko was wary, yet still hopeful. She'd managed to turn the tides on Yuki and get in a good few moves on her, and now the blue-haired wrestler was feeling the effects. But at the same time, she knew she couldn't bank on anything yet. The match was still young - and Yuki had shown herself in command of plenty of stamina from the way she moved. Still, she'd take her chances. If nothing else, it'd help her better gauge what she could expect from her opponent.

And, sure enough, it didn't take Yuki long to kick out of the pin. Michiko found her position jostled, and she was easily rolled off, landing beside Yuki on the ground. But she'd seen what Yuki would do if given the opportunity, and this time around, Michiko wasn't willing to risk it! Rather than give her a moment to catch her breath, Michiko went to grab for her leg as she rose, pulling back in an ankle lock to try and keep her under control!

Right after breaking the pin, Yuki aimed to get up and recover. But before she could do so, Michiko went to put her into an ankle lock, wrenching at her ankle area, which caused quite an intense pain. "Nghhh!!!" Yuki gritted her teeth as she tried to endure the pain, but then, she decided that she might as well try to get Michiko off of her.

So, Yuki would press her palms against the canvas, pushing herself up slightly. Then, while her ankle was still wrenched in the ankle lock, Yuki would try to get her opponent to release her ankle by attempting to hit her with a mule kick using her other leg. If successful, she would try to tug her legs back so that she could scamper away from her opponent in order to get her bearing back.

Michiko figured Yuki wouldn't be down for long, with what she had seen from her thus far. But, for the time being, she had an opening, and she might as well take it. Going after such a small and simple joint wouldn't be of much issue for her, but she could use it to wear Yuki down, providing her with a leg up for the rest of the match. Smirking to herself with confidence, Michiko took Yuki's leg up and pulled back - and the pained hiss that resulted from the blue-haired girl's mouth told her enough that she was on the right track.

But with her focus so set on maintaining her position, Michiko wasn't keeping track of where Yuki was now - even as she went to counter. The ankle suddenly rose up, and Michiko only had a few seconds to react wide-eyed before her other kick rang out and struck Michiko in the leg! With a groan, Michiko dropped to her knee, relinquishing Yuki's leg in the process as her hands went to rub at her wounded limb. The crowd, meanwhile, rang out with cheers for Yuki at having cleverly escaped her foe's designs!
