Drake expected a pin attempt from the blonde. It was a fairly hard hit at the end of a string, after all. He knew he wasn't getting up too quickly, needing a moment to gather himself. But she didn't. Instead, she giggled and got off of him!

Dark amethyst eyes blink a few times, and his head turns to mark her scampering all around the ring. She's tumbling around like the part of her brain that regulates cartwheels has been shut off, and it's a dizzying display. But his experience tells him that it has only one or two possible conclusions. He prepares himself, muscles tensing.. before suddenly drawing his knees inwards, giving her belly nothing but an unforgiving surface to land on!

Drake is happy enough to keep the petite blonde balanced on his knees for a few seconds, very glad she went with the attack she did. The few seconds she remains in place, he takes solace and recuperates. He doesn't linger after she's flopped off, however. His path to victory is going to be paved in overwhelming force, it looks like. Suits him fine. He doesn't get to go that route too often against other guys.

With her already gathering herself to her feet, Drake turns over to do the same. Once up, however, he attempts to suddenly wrap his arms around the girl's midsection and yank her up off her feet and against his sleekly-toned body. With his arms low around her waist, her bare belly is matched against his chiseled abdominals, and he begins squeezing her in a bearhug!

The pained cry, the struggling, all of that is a pretty good sign that the bearhug is cinched in just right. And Drake is only too happy to work it for a while and keep the girl nice and pliable for whatever comes next. In all honesty, he's playing it by ear. He isn't entirely sold on the idea of trying a finisher with her - he feels like he's been going pretty hard on her so far, and he doesn't want to overdo it. He wants to come out on top, but not at the expense of any performances she's called to do tomorrow.

Her head rests on his shoulder, and his arms squeeze just a little tighter. He intends to release her. But then he's feeling her hand patting at his shoulder. Eyes widen, and he immediately loosens his grip on her to ease her down to her own two feet. He'd never actually submitted someone with a bearhug before! "You okay?," he asks quickly.

Drake nips onto his bottom lip as he watches her flop. Oh yeah. He's pretty sure he went overboard; and there is a difference between overwhelming force and going overboard. But she says she thinks she's alright, so he doesn't press it. He just leans forward over her, planting his palms over his knees. If she isn't alright, he'll probably find out before long.

"No excess weight. No bulk, no glam muscles, just burn off what isn't productive," Drake explains. Or at least, that's the idea. "And there's a lot've conditioning that goes with it. But, ah.." He pauses, brow knit as he studies her. "..anyway, you're spry! S'no wonder you've yet to rack up a loss." Subtle change of topic onto something a bit more flattering in her favor.

Drake steps closer and lightly bumps at her bare ribs with his foot. Bump, bump. "You asked a question, you got the answer!," he chides. "Anyway, it sounds like you're selling yourself short. Don't do that. You've been up against good opponents, but no one's that lucky that long. Give yourself some credit."

He leans over her again, this time with a modestly playful smile. "It's okay. Doesn't break any rules, and won't ruin ya. 'Sides, who doesn't like a girl with a little ego?"
