Toni clicked her tongue when her taunt didn't succeed in rattling her opponent. She needed to work on this psychological in-ring stuff that her mother always taught her. And now, her kick was caught by Moonyoung, who then proceeded to hit her at her thigh, causing the youngest Ashford to hiss out in pain.

And the pain distracted her from what Moonyoung did next, which was a takedown. Toni was unable to react as she lost her footing, and she flailed her arms in her attempt to keep herself upright, but it was for naught as she was brought down by her opponent's takedown. "Uwahhh!!!" She could feel her back hitting the mat and her opponent straddling her, which could spell trouble for her.

Knowing that her opponent would target her face in this position, Toni would bring her arms up, looking to block the punches aimed to her. She could only hope that her sister could find an opening so that she could quickly slip into the ring and help her out without being reprimanded by the referee. Though she couldn't bank on it, considering that Mara rarely fought dirty, at least compared to her.

Toni probably did not expect this from a boxer, since most if not all people knew that getting down on the ground is the last thing a boxer wants. But there they were, on the ground, Toni laying on her back and Lee sitting on top of her, raining down punches at her face. Of course, Toni was no dummy and was quick to protect her face, so Lee ended up simply striking at those arms for a couple of moments.

Alright then, Moonyoung would have to improvise a little. Her left hand would grab onto Toni's right arm and try to pull it further away. That would lessen the amount of punches Lee could throw by half, but it would also halve the area Toni could protect. So, with her free right hand, Lee would try to deliver less numerous, but more precise punches, aiming for wherever there seemed to be an unprotected space, targeting the face first. If Toni managed to protect that, then Lee would switch to aiming for the girl's chest and if Toni's arm shifted down to protect it, then Lee's aim would shift accordingly, back to the girl's face.

Toni grunted as she gritted her teeth, protecting her face from Moonyoung's strikes. But then, the boxer decided to pry one of her arms off her face, leaving half of her face unprotected. Due to this, Toni took more of those attacks from her opponent, leaving herself near helpless. Then Moonyoung shifted her attention, targeting Toni's chest next before shifting back to her face. Despite Toni's best attempt to defend herself, it was clear that she was in a very sticky situation.

Meanwhile, Mara was watching from their corner, looking very concerned over her sister. The referee was presiding the match, leaving nothing out of her attention, which made it next to impossible for her to interfere without earning the referee's ire. Still, being the older sister, she couldn't help but worry. Clutching on the top rope tightly, Mara had a very conflicted look before she nodded to herself, as if already accepting the consequence of what she would do next.

So, the older Ashford would do what she rarely did, which was to quickly slip into the ring, running towards where Moonyoung and Toni were. She would make sure to make her move before the referee could react, and as soon as she got closer to the boxer, she would try to deliver a running knee strike aimed right to her forehead, looking to knock the Korean off of her sister. She knew that she would get a reprimand from the referee, but as far as she was concerned, it was still a valid move, considering that this was a tag-team match, or rather, a handicap match.

Ever since Lee got on top, she was pummeling Toni into a pulp. Having restrained Toni's right arm, the boxer had a good shot at the woman's face and chest, that was sure to leave a mark on her.

Moonyoung was in control and the situation was perfect for her. If this kept up for a while longer then toni would certainly either give up or get koed. Lee had a small suspicion that mara could come running at her, but a small suspicion wasn't enough to to stop mara from appearing out of nowhere and smash the boxer's face with a knee, knocking the Korean clean off her sister.

"Ghwuaagh!" A short groan left Lee's mouth as she got laid flat on her back. Her face was aching, but her arms remained spread apart.

The ref of course did not like these kind of developments and soon expressed herself quite clearly. "One more stunt like that and you're out of the match!" The ref strictly reprimanded mara for her behaviour.

For all it was worth, Mara felt a little guilty for her interference, and she accepted the reprimand and the warning from the referee. Taking a look at Toni, she would then return to her corner, hoping at at least her stunt had helped her sister somehow.

With Moonyoung being knocked off of her, Toni was able to regain her bearing, though those hits from before still hurt like hell. Making sure that her opponent wouldn't get back at her, Toni would try to roll herself away from Moonyoung, distancing herself from her so that she could recover. She groaned in pain, still feeling all those punches that she had taken earlier, but she would take this opportunity to regain her strength in order to fight back.

That knee strike was clean and it knocked Moonyoung clean off Mara's sister. Holding onto her face, Lee was trying to cope with the pain and the induced shaking of her perception of the world around her. Moonyoung always taught her students to never let a clean blow hit your head, especially the chin, because it could end the fight then and there. While this didn't rock her chin, it was certainly one of those ''clean'' blows and was very dangerous.

The irony was strong, but the boxer had get back into the fight. She was expecting Toni to try and capitalize on the downed position of the boxer and try to go for some ground wrestling, something that Lee was not as confident in as fighting standing up. So, in order to avoid that, Lee rolled in the opposite direction of Toni, to the corner, grab onto the ropes and slowly pull herself up while watching her opponent, who seemed to have similar fears about Moonyoung and did not immediately attack. Though taking a closer look at Toni, it looked like the boxer's punches left quite a few marks on Toni.

Eventually, Moonyoung would get up, raise her hands into a boxing stance and prepare to welcome whoever would come at her. Toni received a decent bruising, while Mara was still pretty fresh. If Toni came at her, Moonyoung made a note to go all in against Toni. Best case scenario, she could put toni out of the fight and make this a one vs one, where Lee would have all the advantages.

Still feeling all those punches that she took from Moonyoung earlier, Toni had distanced herself from the boxer, hoping to recover. It looked like her sister had bailed her out, though she got admonished thanks to that. Toni tried to not feel guilty about this, knowing that her sister didn't have the same temperament as her, and she shook her head as she then looked back at the Korean boxer before her, who had taken a stance, as if preparing herself to engage her once again.

Breathing out, Toni would put her focus on Moonyoung, taking a stance as well. Her opponent's punches were devastating that Toni still could feel the throbbing sensation on her face. Cautiously, Toni would slowly close the distance between the two of them, arms raised up as she carefully watched her opponent's hands. After taking a few steps, Toni would try to catch her opponent off-guard by dipping low and sprinting towards her, trying to close the distance between the two of them as quickly as she could.

And once she got closer, she would try to take advantage of her lowered stance to launch herself upwards as soon as she got close to Moonyoung, looking to deliver an uppercut right under the Korean's chin. She wasn't sure whether she was being obvious or not, but she hoped that she could catch her opponent off-guard to land the hit on her.

So, Toni decided to stay and face Moonyoung. That was admirable, but Lee was intent on using that to try and finish Toni off by coming in hard at her.
However, Toni one-upped her on that by coming in hard at the boxer instead. Toni went low and Lee expected a tackle, so she braced for it, looking at her opponent all the while. And because of that, she was able to notice a nasty surprise from Toni at the last second. The surprise came in an uppercut from down below. It also helped that the strategy was pretty well known to her. So, at the last second, Lee managed to split her hands and retreat her face backwards barely in time. She could feel the air pressure of the blow fly past her nose and the fist itself went past her vision like a blur.
Whoa! She gasped.

However, this left Lee in a decent position to counter attack. Her hands were separated to the sides, but she would clench her right fist and would throw a nasty haymaker to try and show Toni who's the boss here.

Toni was confident that she could land the uppercut under Moonyoung's chin, but as she sprang upwards in order to land the attack, she was surprised that her opponent managed to avoid the hit, moving herself backwards. Toni's fist ended up cutting through the air, hitting nothing. Her eyes widened in disbelief, which left her open to whatever the Korean boxer would do next.

Sure enough, she couldn't defend herself from Moonyoung's next attack, which was a haymaker aimed to her face. Unable to move herself on time, the boxer's fist made contact with her face, and Toni's world was shaken as she was struck by her opponent's fist. In addition to the hit, she was also propelled backwards from the sheer force of the punch.

"POORGHHH!!!"

Thrown backwards, Toni then landed on her back. Her cheek hurt like hell, and her eyes were wide from disbelief as she was currently in a state of daze. For a while, the sounds around her somehow muted for a little, and the lights above the ring made it hard for her to see things. At the moment, she was truly vulnerable before her opponent despite her still not knocked out.

Toni went in deep and almost landed a good one on the boxer, however not only was Lee familiar with the move, she also had great reaction time and so she managed to pull her face back just in the nick of time to avoid having her head and brain rocked by a wicked uppercut to the chin. Now, Lee's counter attack was just as wicked as the wide haymaker found its way to Toni's pretty face, forcefully dropping her ass on the mat and being all alpha.

Lee wasn't aware of Toni's condition, but she didn't really need to as she rushed towards her downed opponent regardless. She would try to mount the woman on her belly and then proceed with a hail of punches aimed for Toni's face. Blocked or not blocked, Moonyoung would continue pounding and pounding Toni until she was stopped one way or another...
