Threat in the Shadows: Cali N' Rosie

Cali crept around the halls as quietly as she could -- something that she never thought about ever doing but tonight was the night where apparently she had to be stealthy as she sought out for any signs of the Lawless belt. Granted, Cali felt it was better to conserve her energy when she finally finds the damn thing as fighting her way out of numerous opponents would lead her to a quick end to the night and she wasn't planning on leaving empty handed. Of course the main issue was figuring out where to start as the LAW HQ wasn't exactly small and she wasn't sure how many of her fellow competitors had already entered the building.

"This is gonna be a long night." Cali sighed exasperatedly.

Rosie Soto

Despite making no overt or obvious moves in the Lawless Title Hunt as of yet, Rosie Soto had been hard and work. After having snuck in undercover as a caterer, Soto had silently and stealthily made her way up to one of the security rooms about midway through the building. There, the conniving Canadian lightweight girl took over the room, quickly dispatching the two workers there so that she might observe the monitors and keep track of exactly which girl was doing what at LAW HQ. So that she might devise the quickest and easiest route towards escaping this building with the title in hand! But the path to earning that title is littered with formidable challengers. And as Rosie's eyes the tens of monitors in the security room, she could see one of them coming down the hall, now.

"One Cali McCloud..." Rose whispered to herself under her breath as she saw a black and white image of Cali making her way down the hallway on the other side of this floor. Cali was a brawny, capable heavyweight wrestler. Exactly the type of combatant that Rosie perceived as a threat to her plans.

"Tch-" The tiny terror said as she collected a baton from a security guard she had choked out. Rosie had already stolen the identity of a catering lady. Surely, the general manager Dan DeFranco would be giving her an earful about abusing LAW staff later, but for now, Soto would be willing to use anything or anyone to accomplish her goals. Repercussions or not.

Rosie would approximate where and when Cali would make it to the corner at the end of the hall. She'd hide around the corner, she'd hide behind the door to the stairwell. She'd carefully peek through the tiny window in the door frame, waiting for McCloud to pass by. And when she finally did, Rosie would emerge and sneak up behind the woman, ready to jump onto Cali full tilt, wide swing to the back of that brunette head for a swift knockout!

Cali was distracted, still thinking about her loss to Jem earlier in the night in the undercard. While the win was most certainly a fluke, it still stung that she lost to a woman that she had defeated so dominantly in the past. Bad enough that she was in the undercard after having main evented the previous PPV, but to also lose like that stung her pride the most. Unfortunately for Cali, who was so into her thoughts, she didn't hear Rosie come into the room and suddenly felt something slam against the back of her head.

"GAH!Nngh!"

Within an instant Cali's eyes rolled to the back of her head until they closed shut, sighing as fell to her knees and then facedown on the floor completely unconscious.

In a swift, fluid motion, Soto struck. The baton connected with the back of Cali's head. The conniving lightweight girl had seen that no only was McCloud aloof and unaware of her presence, Cali was also distracted. It gave Rosie the perfect opening. She couldn't ask for better when jmit came to thinning out the sheer number of women patrolling the building, looking for a chance at that title. When Cali passed out, Rosie stood over her. She'd grab the bigger girl by the arm and tug her limp frame to the nearest broom closet. Thankfully, she had a key that she swiped off one of the guards.

"Target acquired." Rosie said as she pulled Cali into the closet. She grunted and groaned with effort as she did so it took her a couple of minutes. Moving the woman was no easy feat.

"Many more to go...."

The jostling of her limp frame only made Cali groan softly, but it did little to wake the heavyweight from her forced nap. Tucked into the locker, she was unmoving when Rose shut the door and locked it tight -- leaving Cali inert in her dreams until she was found later in the evening.
