LAW's Top Ten Cutest Couples

The wacky section of the magazine. This includes completely novelty bits written by writers, wrestlers or otherwise. Expect a lot of clickbait articles and lists in general. Little written here should be taken seriously.

LAW's Top Ten Cutest Couples

This article is for entertainment purposes only. Being listed here does not necessarily mean these characters really are a couple, and Hitomi is speculating wildly. I do not endorse the shipping of real people.

Love, as we’ve heard, can bloom even in the most unlikely of circumstances - even on the battlefield. Or, more specifically, in the wrestling ring. It’s no surprise that when you get a bunch of young people in the same line of work, interacting with each other closely, some of them are going to hook up - and you’d better believe that I would have my finger on the pulse of it! Since my last article was such a success, I’m eager to present my next contribution to LAW Magazine. Here, in my opinion, are the top ten cutest couples LAW has produced!
---

10. Holly Matheson and Blanco Sombre

The purest sort of love, many might argue, is that when two people love each other for who they are, not what they are. And in the world of LAW, when you’re looking for a true test of devotion, it doesn’t get much better than dating the Loser’s Champion. Holly might be the single lowest ranked wrestler in the promotion, but that hasn’t affected her standing with Blanco in the slightest. These two have been working, living, and wrestling together for years, and they’re still going strong, with Holly’s love for Blanco inspiring her to keep striving toward new heights. Let’s hope that works out for her!

9. Kotone Shiomi and Mary Clarison

Okay, these two haven’t gone public about anything, but I just know there’s something they’re not telling us. They’re practically soulmates! Not only do they have similar experiences, growing up without their parents in their lives, they’ve worked and trained together, and even visited one another in their own time. Mary even let Kotone ride her horse! If you ask me, there’s no way these two are just friends, and we’re all waiting for them to make an announcement. I’m taking bets on how accurate my fanfics are!

8. Rose Gold and Natalia Dominique

I hear some of you saying that it doesn’t count, since Rose won a night with Natalia in a POW match. But I’m here to tell you that doesn’t mean anything! There’s no question that these two girls have won the hearts of many with their looks and charm - in Rose’s case, no amount of trickery or foul play seems to discourage anyone from cheering her, and while Natalia might be a newcomer to LAW, she’s still made quite an impact in her time here. Many would be jealous to take one of their places, so just imagine how the two of them must feel! Even looking at the match itself, you can tell how much they enjoy each others’ company. They can hardly keep their hands off each other, and even Natalia gets a rush from having Rose in her clutches. We can only imagine what happened after the match that night, but I would be surprised to hear that it was the last time the two crossed paths!

7. Jenny Rodouko and Rose

No relation to the Lightweight Champ - this Rose is the Rose of Lust, and one half of the tag team Sweet Lust. She and her partner, Jenny, don’t just share a team, though - they work together and train together at the Rodouko Gym, and have described each other as being best friends. Maybe they are - or maybe that’s just a coverup for Jenny’s true feelings! After all, Rose’s nickname came about for a reason, and I’d have a hard time believing she could be around Jenny that long without feeling something else. To be a successful tag team, you need cohesion - and perhaps the best training of all comes from a budding romance!

6. Cal and Emiko Walker

If there’s any greater sign of affection than a couple that wrestles together, it’s one that does so even after a pitched rivalry! Cal and Emiko first met in opposite corners of the ring, in a match that saw Emiko break Cal’s undefeated streak in a surprising upset. Many would be ashamed of such a loss, but Cal - a true champion at heart if I do say so myself - not only made up to Emiko, the two of them started dating, and later married. They’re a true power couple, raising their daughter to follow in their footsteps, and they’ve never stopped loving each other despite all the ups and downs of life in the wrestling business. It takes a good heart to marry your greatest opponents, let alone to still be going strong years later. If these two don’t win a championship, they AT LEAST deserve parent of the year awards!

5. Da Xia and Kyoko Akan

I don’t need to introduce this entry, do I? The rivalry between Da and Kyoko is one that goes back a long time, the two competing for supremacy even before LAW as we know it was born. They can’t fool me, though! If I know anything about interpersonal dynamics, it’s that when you have two people feuding with one another, and being in each others’ lives for so long, it’s only a matter of time before that “hatred” turns to affection. Ask yourself, if these two really only hated each other, would they really keep in touch so long? If all the fanfiction I’ve read says anything, I’m not the only one who thinks that deep down, they’d rather kiss than bludgeon each others’ bellies. Maybe both, I can’t judge what they’re into. But it certainly seems to work out for them!

4. Kiyoshi Kazuya and Amano Jaku

Kiyoshi and Amano might have made their first encounter under more typical circumstances, with Kiyoshi facing the Rascal Demon in her debut match. But it didn’t take long for them to hit it off, and even after Amano forced a submission from the rookie, there were hardly any hard feelings. They kissed in the middle of the ring, and Kiyoshi even called her Acchan - if that’s not the cutest nickname I don’t know what is! Amano might have you know that she only did what she did to make a point, but that hasn’t stopped them from openly flirting with one another on social media. If you think we can’t see, yeah, we can - and we’re going to cheer you on for it because you two belong together!

3. Aoi Fukiwara and Rebecca Watatsumi

I apologize in advance if this is in poor taste - #GetWellAoi, by the way - but while the former Lightweight Champion might not have a leg to stand on right now, she does have someone she can count on at her side. It’s no secret that the Blue Warrior was shaken by Rose Gold’s brutal defeat of Rebecca, something that she swore revenge on by putting Rose up to a title match, and her infamous defeat saw her so fueled by her rage and her desire to punish the challenger that she let down her guard. Sure, you might say that Aoi was just upholding what she believed in, but if so, there were PLENTY of victims of Rose’s rise to the top she could have been fighting for. Why Rebecca in particular? Well, the two have long been friends and training partners, you do the math! They show that true love is something worth fighting for, no matter what!

2. Alizeh Midori and Sanae Saitou

Image

In just a short period of time, Alizeh and Sanae have been a lot of things. Sanae’s first match saw them as opponents, but they proved they could learn something from each other too, and over the three falls the two girls both pushed each other to new and greater heights, bringing out the potential in one another and making for a truly breathtaking spectacle. After the match, though Alizeh emerged the victor, she was still taken with the Young Lioness graduate’s potential, and she wanted to help bring that out of her through teaching her - and eventually, wrestling alongside her as one half of the tag team Stardust Storm. It’s clear that the careers of these two are only growing, and I can only imagine - based on how inseparable they’ve proved - their relationship on the personal side of things would grow too. I’m sure when Sanae looks at Alizeh with those starry eyes of hers, it’s not just her hopes for fame that are going through her head. Besides, the two of them were more than eager to frolic around each other in bikinis. Make of that what you will.

1. Megumi Mutoh and Chigusa Yuuki

Image

If anyone deserves top billing on a list like this, it has to be the Valkyrie Troupe themselves. Megumi and Chigusa have been close ever since the very beginnings of their careers, signing up to try-outs on the same day and staying in touch ever since. For as long as they’ve been a team, many have speculated what the exact nature of their bond is, but if you ask me, it HAS to be love. Not even a head injury from a brainbuster gone wrong could sour opinions between these two, and even when they parted ways after leaving Wrestle Angels, they ended right back in LAW, as if the universe wanted them to stay together. I’ve been watching since they were rookies, and their growth has been impressive - but one thing that hasn’t changed is how much they mean to each other, and as long as they’re wrestling, it’ll stay that way.
