The War on Bellies: The Bizarre feud of Da Xia and Kyoko!

Unread post by Taskmaster12 »

LAW is founded on many feuds that take up fans and wrestlers attention. Some of them are about titles, or proving who's the better women or because some women are just a straight up bitch who someone else feels they need to slap down into oblivion. Either way one thing that seems to get the two really going is a mutual hatred that often needs no reason and with the upcoming LAW PPV, one feud that sticks out is the upcoming Wargames match between team Kyoko vs team Da Xia. This feud sees many moving parts that seem to have built up to this point and would see the battle reach an apex that had not yet been seen otherwise, its success is still up for grabs but the battle has many things worth noting.

The Wargames match is based around the feud between its two leaders Kyoko Akan and Da Xia. Kyoko was the first of many to start the tired custom belt debacle, after missing the Middleweight title tourney on account of her own incompetence Kyoko made her own title the Belly Queen and put it on a title that her fans made for her, or so she claims. Either way this title started not only a long and profitable title reign which the LAW office accommodated and ended with her success. Kyoko defended her title 14 times, and brought out a small division in itself with many people making a go for her title. Even odder was that it inspired replicas in the form of a lightweight bunny custom belt which didn't last long and two bedroom titles, one a crown one another belt. Kyoko considered this a huge success, that's not speculation you can just hear ehr rant about it for the 20th time to know that. But With anything that gets noticed there's challengers trying to take it, though Kyoko repelled many of them one competitor stands out above the rest both because of her success and because of her history with Kyoko herself.

The young and lovely looking beauty known as Da Xia, and anyone paying attention knows her to be the current holder of the Belly Queen title, every reign comes to an end and Kyoko’s was a spectacular one. This isn't the first company either women has worked in, from what we heard the two had wars in other companies, fighting in shower halls, MMA cages, Apartments and photoshoots, trying to outdo the other in all of the worst (or you know, best) ways possible. Despite this in the previous company I've heard that fan reception to the two was reversed with fans supposedly in support of the Belly Queen back then while Da Xia wasn't very liked. A case of hardcore fans who like heels? Was Da Xia just not very popular despite her nice demeanor, or is there more to that story than meets the eye, and was Da Xia’s smiling attitude not at all she's cracked up to be? I’ll leave that up to you, what she did in another company isn't for us to worry about. The only thing important is that when all was said and done Kyoko came out on top in their highest profile match in something called “The Belly Match of Death.” Which sounds about right up the womens alley, but as we know the story doesn't end there. Da’s first appearance on LAW came when she interrupted Kyoko in one of her very cliche speeches about how great she is immediately winning fans over for her cute look and the fact she got under her skin, in the impromptu match that followed Da Xia impressed even more by pushing the women to her limits and forcing Kyoko to resort to underhanded tactics to win (While the Belly Queens popularity is very minimal her wrestling skill is not and she usually beats her opponents straight up, which seems to be a reason she's at least begrudgingly respected). Despite being defeated Da Xia proved herself to be a strong contender and her fanbase only grew. She would add onto this near loss with a few more wins against minor opponents like Luna before she directed her focus back to Kyoko getting her in a fight for supremacy in mud with Marissa Winters, the Belly Buster and another competitor for the Belly title as a ref. This time in the muddy affair Kyoko could not pull off any such underhanded tricks and after a few close calls Da Xia pulled off the win and secured herself a title match. Kyoko blamed the ref and in her usual act of pettiness attacked Marissa and beat her up. While I find Da’s attitude to be suspect, Kyoko is very clearly not someone the average person can morally root for with actions like this and others Ill get too. In there first match on a PPV We Are LAW 2019, and Da Xia’s big debut for them they fought in a best of 5 match all under the usual Belly Queen rules and there most iconic on LAW so far, Kyoko and Da Xia started off even before Kyoko got an early spear to connect and pin Da Xia to take the first fall. The second fall was less even as Kyoko pounded on a surprised and stunned Da Xia before making her submit from a pair of stomach claws. In fact for almost 10 minutes Kyoko looked like she was going to get a clean sweep beating Da Xia around through the third fall but when Da Xia refused to just submit Kyoko dragged Da Xia backstage and locked her in a locker room without the view of the cameras. This went on for a few minutes and eventually LAW moved on to the next match. Shortly after this match ended the announcement was made that somehow Da Xia had recovered and managed to make the third fall to keep herself alive. When the cameras finally followed them again Da Xia was beating Kyoko up in a shower leaving both girls drenched and Kyoko uncharacteristically flustered. Da Xia brought her back and made Kyoko submit in an abdominal stretch to get fall 4 and bring it 2-2 for the final fall to decide it, a last women standing rule. The two fought like crazy again nearly winning at several points as it became a battle of endurance, but eventually as we all know Da swung and ‘accidently’ caught Kyoko in the eye, which she blamed on her fatigue, and while Kyoko was stunned Da pressed her against the ropes so she was tied up and hit her with her “Kyoko’s End” finisher over and over again, by the time she was done Kyoko’s belly was a mess and the former Queen wasn't even conscious, dropping to the floor and failing to make the 10 count to end the match with Da Xia’s heroic comeback.

The first and only instance of a custom belt changing hands Da Xia celebrated as if she won a real belt, as did the fans happy to see Kyoko beaten thought I'd argue they weren't paying attention, as I don't see Da as too much better, she's clearly very resourceful and so I can't take this win away from her. And like Kyoko she was capable of defending it and backing up her desire to win, defending it first in a more softcore match against resident simp Tara Kwan (Yeah I said simp come at me.) and then in a more standard match affair between her and Noloty Malache, who will be more important later. This resulted in Kyoko attacking her there and a brawl saw her accidently hit Noloty, before the women came back up and struck at her again helping Da repel the jealous former champ. Da would try to get revenge interrupting Kyoko at her birthday event but in the ensuing scuffle Yoko Littner got away with her belt and Marissa Winters who tried to take it ended up getting jumped by both the current and former champ until Yoko returned it. Soon after Kyoko and Da were invited to a photoshoot to have an interview and take photos, but naturally ego’s clashed and soon both girls were fighting in a pool trying to outfuck each other….yeah don't ask how that came about, but in the end result LAW authorized of all things a Wargames match to bring some of the big players of the recent string of belly related matches and give them a way to blow off steam without getting anyone else involved. So now it's time to focus less on these two and focus on their participants.

Contestant 3: Yoko Littner
Of the other 4 Yoko seems the most involved in LAW’s proceedings here. She made her debut against Kyoko and put up an admirable fight, only to lose after being pinned, still against a tough opponent her effort was commendable. She quickly showed herself to be a woman of extreme snark and attitude, which would make for an interesting character….if only she could back up her lax attitude with results. Her loss against Kyoko was understandable but since then she’s shown no aptitude for being able to win matches in the ring, her record has been rather low and a smart mouth backed up by no action is like any old dog, all bark and no bite. She created the bedroom belt and actually has defended that but in bedrooms not the ring proper which has put her skill under question by some people. Nevertheless she remained close to Kyoko’s hip getting her in a bedroom match which was also best of 5 and ending in a narrow Yoko win 3-2 (Kyoko seems to have trouble winning matches like this) and getting involved in the birthday fiasco that ended with her taking the title, only to give it back for Marissa’s safety. It was here her attitude seemed to change about Kyoko, while she acted like they were frenemies this was the first act she didn't joke about and it lead to there PPV match at We Are LAW 2020 A POW match that was hard to watch for Yoko fans, what started as an intense back and forth affair quickly became a one sided affair as Yoko lost steam and her belly was pummeled more then anyone's abs had been in LAW, eventually turned red, Yoko coughing up blood and finally being forced to submit to Kyoko in brutal fashion before she was brought to the hospital to recover...then sent to Kyoko’s house for more as part of the Prisoner of War stipulation. You’d think this would be a good cause for Yoko to pair up with Da Xia and bring her down right? You'd be wrong. Yoko and Kyoko are part of the same team, maybe Kyoko broke down Yoko and made her a good little servant for a Queen. Maybe Da Xia did something against Yoko that we dont know about. Maybe Yoko just doesnt give a fuck who she fights for? Only the Redhead knows.

Contestant 4: Noloty Malache
The so-called Rising Star. A veteran to a minor wrestling company in Brazil, Noloty wanted to prove herself to all and do so in spectacular order, being a part of LAW matches for months and fighting vets and rookies alike winning and losing. She started to get involved in belly matches, winning over opponents in similar style, and this brought her to the attention of Da Xia, and she was a proper title defense for the cute champion. In a back and forth match, a distraction from Kyoko later, Noloty botched a 450 and allowed da to capitalize with a Kyoko’s end to pin the challenger. Making matters worse Kyoko hit Noloty with a spear aiming for Da Xia, and the enraged rising star jumped after Kyoko and knocked her down with the champ. To no one's surprise Noloty is joining Da Xia in the Wargames. Petty revenge? Maybe, but as she says herself this is the best way to make a name for herself. Plus da promised her a title shot, or so she says.

Contestant 5: Tara Jaegar
Tara Jaegar or as she likes to fancy herself, The Belly Stretcher is a new face in LAW, who had a rough start in LAW when her big debut was ruined by interference. Despite this she showed herself to be in the same niche as Kyoko, some could say she was inspired by it all and was fighting in Belly matches though while Kyoko was more a brawler Tara was a submission specialist and would wear out the body just as much as she would pummel it. This led to an interesting clash of styles when the two met, and Kyoko’s arrogance got the better of her and taking her time to finish Tara off gave her the opening she needed to turn what looked like defeat back into victory when she knocked out the Belly Queen. This would give her a shot at the belt, or at least you'd think so but Da has refused to fight her, thinking that beating Kyoko doesn't guarantee her anything. In response when this match was announced Tara went to Kyoko and got herself inserted into the match, as the final member of team Kyoko she's clearly gunning not just for her team leaders respect but to come out the best of the bellies by claiming the win herself and making her case for a shot at the belt.

Contestant 6: Gabriella Guererro
The first serious rival for the belt. Gabriella interrupted Kyoko’s first reveal of the belt to mock its concept, and it lead to a match which neither girl won. They fought against this time in a submission match which Gabriella won in a similar manner to Tara did by choking Kyoko out. And finally they met in a third match for the Belly Belt, this time though none of Gabriella’s tricks could get it done and the Belly Queen beat and humiliated the hot latina. Gabriella took some time off after that but was always in people’s minds and soon was back on the scene no worse for wear, and as she attests her absence had nothing to do with Kyoko. Despite this the loss wasn't one she was looking to ignore and a chance for glory and getting back at the Queen she joins Team Da Xia for the big battle also hoping to upstage the Belly Queens and remind people why they love her.

The Outcome?
Let’s be honest while all of these girls have these special skills there cohesion as units are suspect. No one side as an advantage in how well they can work with there partners so this match will be a large brawl at best that being said when looking at the brawlers I think we can see what side has the advantage. Let me start by saying that of the 6 of them Kyoko will be the best brawler of the 6 in my opinion. It’s half of her arsenal and her record speaks for herself on this. But her opponents are all above average brawlers as well even Gabriella who is mostly known for submissions, so that won’t be too much of a game changer. Compared to her teammates Tara has some decent striking abilities but almost lost her match outright to Kyoko because she couldn’t out fight her, and Yoko while strong is mostly just stubborn, as seen from her PPV loss to her team leader, Yoko can take a lot of hits but after awhile she won’t be giving them leaving her team isolated. Da Xia is also stubborn as Yoko, but she is also more versatile and she won’t be pummeled for very long without finding an escape as her title win shows Kyoko has yet to outright beat her without controversy and so thus I see her having a slight edge. As far as submissions go that’s an unknown territory, both teams have one submission specialist in Tara for team Kyoko and Gabriella for team Da Xia, who is better at being a technical wrestler will decide who has the advantage here but let’s be generous and say there even, Tara’s kicks and Gabriella’s endurance being the bigger factor between them, it’s nullified and the difference maker is the more all rounded Noloty who trumps Yoko in my humble opinion. Therefore with a slight edge I see Team Da Xia winning this match and the feud. What comes after I can’t say but this feud is certainly an interesting one.
