Kimodameshi!

Unread post by dlamp »

Okay, with the promo officially made let me kick off the revitalization of the Kimodameshi matches!
The Kayfabe
Amano Jaku, one of my main characters and face of her stable, Senso no Hana, has had her leader revamp and remake her Kimodameshi match series without her consent.

The premise is simple: Amano, who is a High-C/Lower-B tier character, takes on a debuting or rookie opponent in a match of their choosing with special stipulations that pull the match in their favor. The idea is to give a debuting opponent a chance to shine and really show how well they can fight when in their element.

Albeit with a catch.

If Amano is able to beat the odds and defeat her opponent, she'll invoke a punishment/penalty of varying levels.
The Actual Roleplay
So, here's how the Kimodameshi will work in actual practice:
  • Amano fights a debuting/newbie wrestler, ideally within her weightclass, but I'm willing to do mismatches with size to a degree.
  • Amano, being a more mid-tier character, gives her opponent a decently sized fight that shows them off in their element.
  • The winner of the match has claims to do whatever they wish to the opponent as a sort of victory lap.
That's the basic idea of it, Amano fights a debuting or rookie opponent on their terms, they show off what they can do, and a small little event happens after the fight. I'm mostly leaning toward lightweights, but I'm willing to branch out if someone has a middleweight they want to debut. Heavyweights... I have an event/series for, and I'll link that when its ready. If you have a lightweight or middleweight wrestler you want to debut or show off then feel free to let me know if you're interested, either in a private message or DM me on discord.
Match Types
Alright, so the main thing about the Kimodameshi matches is that Amano is fighting with the odds against her. In-Universe, her opponent is picking a match type that they think they can beat Amano in, namely one that plays to their strengths where they can take advantage of Amano's lopsided win conditions. To give you an idea, here's the main match types and stipulations I'll be going with:
  • Standard Match: The opponent can win by pinfall, knockout, or submission, but Amano is limited to only one type of fall of her opponent's choosing.
  • Submission Match: The opponent can wins by submission or tapout, but Amano's fall will only count via a submission of her opponent's choosing.
  • Hentai Match: The opponent wins by forcing a climax, but Amano has to go into the fight in just her bra and panties.
  • Smother Match: The opponent wins by knockout smother, but Amano's fall will only count if she smothers an opponent with a body part of their choosing.
  • Anything-Goes/No DQ Match: The opponent win via pinfall, knockout, or submission with no rules applying to them, but Amano will be limited by one standard-match rule of her opponent's choosing.
  • Tag Team: Handicap Match.
  • Humiliation: The opponent wins via humiliation submission, but Amano has to strip the opponent to at least their bra and panties for submission for the fall to count.
Preferences/Rules
In-Universe reasoning aside, there are some points I'd like to make about this segment. The bigger points being that these matches are meant to be more short-ish exhibition matches than long-winded endurance runs. But again, I can be flexible

Anyway, here are the main points:
  • This is something to get people that haven't debuted their lightweight or middleweight a mid-tier, narratively flexible fighter to feel them out and show off.
  • Ideally, these matches will be short (about 4 to 5 pages or about 35-45 posts), with the penalty/punishment segment only lasting 3 or 4 posts after.
  • I'd personally like this matches to be concluded within a month of their creation, and I'll be giving these matches priority just short of a PPV event.
Likely Questions
Does my character have to lose?
Not at all! Amano is a B-tier fighter and the matches are in the opponent's favor to begin with. That said, Amano is a tough gal, has done some level of every match on the list, and is herself a bit of wily trickster in her fighting style. Your character will work for that victory.

What kind of stipulations/punishments would be involved?
Honestly, anything. It'd gonna' be a case-by-case basis. Ideally, it'd be something that can be written quickly, as I'd rather have these matches not go past page 5 and not move to another thread, so no POW matches. As for the specifics, we can work that out in the planning stage.

Is Amano the only one doing this?
Yes. Hangaku is about to have her own special match series drafted up in the next few days of me typing this and Himeko... has other plans.

Are only lightweights allow?
As of now I'm willing to throw Amano at debuting/rookie middleweights as well, but I'm doing a hard pass on heavyweights. Again, Hangaku's gonna' have something involving heavyweights.

I want my character involved in this, but they've already debuted!
If your character hasn't finished all the matches they need to meet belt contention (three matches or more) then I'd consider them in rookie status. I can also make some exceptions for underdog/weaker character wanting to try a match with the odds in their favor.

My character is debuting, but they're already a veteran/experienced in their backstory!
That's fine, the idea is introducing them to the company, not so much as a new fighter in general. And Amano is more or less mid-tier, so she'll put up a decent fight either way. Plus, it'd be funny to see Amano get wrecked once in awhile by a debuting fighter.

Exactly how strong is Amano?
She's as strong as the story needs her to be, but in a more technical sense she's fairly tough. Amano's main strength is that despite her rowdy and aggressive nature she's a more defensive fighter that not so much tanks attacks, but redirects and mitigates the damage of those attacks using Aikido and Ukemi to soften throws and tosses while getting a feel for her opponent's fighting style and countering with reversal throws and solid strikes at open areas. And if she needs to be offensive she's switch up to karate and start punching away at a weakpoint. That said, she sucks at dealing with power moves and certain high-flying attacks, so she has her weaknesses too.

But that's all I have to say on the matter. Anyone interested in this can hit me up.
