Another night, another mixed match.
But tonight,
was not freaking out over her opponent nor the conditions. In the locker room, she sat on her phone, researching what she could off the name she was given. Ashley, or Ash as he went by, was not the woman Audrey had been expecting. Normally, that might have upset her, but Ash was not like most of her previous male opponents. He was only half a foot taller than her, and far more slender and lithe than she'd seen in the past.
More importantly than his size, though, was his attitude. As far as she could tell, he was not the cocky, holier-than-thou type that she'd normally been pit against. No, Ash seemed to be a far more respectable fighter. Even with their incoming match allowing for lewder techniques freely, Audrey took less issue if it was coming from someone she could respect.
Audrey's
theme began, and she hesitated just a beat to let it hype her up before she moved towards the entrance ramp. Her signature sparkler in hand, she stopped just after going through the doorway, striking a pose for the crowd which earned her cheers and more than a few whistles. She was in higher spirits than most mixed matches, so it was a rare treat for her to slap the palms of the fans as she moved, dancing towards the ring, skirt flaring out whenever she twirled.
The redhead sprung up onto the ring apron, leaning her back against the ropes and drawing a heart in midair with her sparkler before dropping it into the waiting water to snuff it out. She then slipped between the ropes and retreated to her corner to await her foe, somewhat more excited for a mixed match than she had been in some time.

Another day. Another mixed match
Sometimes he wondered if those in charge found it funny to pair him up with girls because his birth name is ‘Ashley’. Technically a girl’s name. Yeah they must think it’s pretty funny to tell some random woman on the roster that they’re fighting an ‘Ashley’ only to have it be a man instead. Man that must get confusing; or in this case: hilarious. Maybe THEY should be in the ring instead.
In any event, he waited for his turn to be called up. When it did, he made his entrance. Walking out onto the ramp and being met with the cheers of the audience. Fans at installed in various locations to make his cloak look like it was flowing like in the movies. He marched down the ring, greeting the members in the front row with handshakes and fistsbumps. And a wink or Teo to a number of the female members who squealed in delight.
Making his way to the ring, he climbed up on the apron in quick fashion. Carrying the momentum as he faulted over the top rope and performed a superhero landing before standing up and taking off the cloak. He made his way to his corner, looking over at Audrey.
‘So she’s my opponent? Not bad. Cute red head.’ He thought to himself and flashed her a grin.

One of the highlights of Audrey's nights, at least in her opinion, was seeing what her opponents would do to hype themselves and the crowd. Hers was a modest entrance, nothing super flashy, but it was hers. In much the same way, Ash had his own flair; Audrey hadn't even noticed the fans (the wind-blowers, not the audience) on her way down, but the effect they gave his cape was neat. Surely that was for the entrance alone, though; wrestling wearing that would be asking for trouble. He did have his fair share of admirers, too, and none too few of them women. Shame she'd have to send them home disappointed tonight.
As he climbed up onto the apron, Audrey took note of his speed; he was lean and agile, and he showed it as he vaunted right over the top rope effortlessly, landing like superman. (Was it superman? Audrey wasn't very well-versed in comic book lore. Sure looked impressive, though.) And sure enough, the cloak came off, the redhead's analytics cast aside with it. Audrey let her gaze wash over his body; he had muscle, sure, but he wasn't built all bulky, bodybuilder-style, and several seconds passed before Audrey realized her gaze had lingered for a few seconds too long, pink blush faint on her cheeks.
He flashed her a grin; perhaps he hadn't noticed. Her freckles had a way of masking light color flushing her cheeks, and he wasn't that close- and now she was overthinking.
She offered him a polite grin in return, before standing upright and skipping to the center of the ring, her skirt bouncing as she moved. She reached out, offering her customary pre-bell handshake, letting him decide whether or not to join her there and accept it.
"Heya," she started, then paused to clear her throat. "Er, I mean... hi. Let's put on a good show, yeah?"

Ash watched as Audrey skipped to the middle the ring, watching as her skirt flowed with her movements. Though his eyes did catch a glance or two at her boucning breasts that moved nearly every skip she took. He quickly averted his eyes, mentally clearing his throat and refocusing his attention at Audrey. Now she stood in the middle of the ring, hand out.
He gave her a friendly smile and walked over. Grasping her hand with a soft but firm grip and shook it politely.
“Hey, nice to meet you too. And yeah. Let’s give the people a good show.” He then smirked as he had an idea. Time to mess with her a little. “Also given the rules of this match, just remember something, ok Red?” He asked, giving her a cliche nickname because of her red hair.
“My eyes are up here,” he pointed to his head fhen between his legs, “not down there.”

Audrey's breath hitched the moment Ash accepted her handshake. Every time she offered it, she never knew what to expect. There were plenty of opponents who had no problems taking advantage of a move like that. But Audrey would offer it anyway, as a show of good sportsmanship, and hope for the best. And this time, after a few seconds of nothing happening, her body relaxed as she realized Ash wasn't going to try to pull anything on her.
At least, nothing physical. He did, however, have some words for her.
“Also given the rules of this match, just remember something, ok Red?”
Audrey had to resist a roll of the eyes at the nickname. They'd gotten off on a good foot, and she wasn't about to make a fuss over something so small...
“My eyes are up here, not down there.”
...At least, until he started pointing at his body parts. Audrey started, taken aback, that pink blush creeping back onto her cheeks. Her fingers clenched their handshake just a little tighter, as she was at a loss for how to respond.
"Buh-... I... Wh-..." she sputtered, struggling to form a proper sentence. Of course he had to remind her that she was free game. He was, too, of course... she'd just have to make sure to not let him get too handsy.
The redhead blinked and shook head, regaining her voice with less of that embarrassed babbling. "I'll remember where your eyes are so long as you remember where to find mine."
Whatever his reply, she'd break off the handshake and turn to walk back towards her corner for the beginning of the match, letting out a deep breath that she didn't want him to see. That one line had gotten in her head... now she just had to not let it take over completely.

He chuckled watching Audrey’s face turn a shade almost similar to her hair. It was cute. Guess she wasn’t expecting that as he felt her fingers tighten in the handshake. Fhen she tried to tease him back. He shook his head a little as she gestured to where her eyes weren’t. Ah, a classic one. Though a slight pink. She had a very nice rack but he’ll save that when they get to the good part of the evening.
“Hey, I think we’ll see what’s underneath both of our clothes soon enough, Red.” He’d say with a teasing grin before retreating back to his corner. Taking a breath to ready himself and rolling his shoulders for a last minute warmup and stretch. Just like he was taught to do.
When he heard the bell ring, he stepped out of his corner. Looking to meet her in the middle of the ring. Deciding to start off slow but with a classic, he held his hands out as if ready for a grapple. Giving her an invitation to a simple test of strength.

“Hey, I think we’ll see what’s underneath both of our clothes soon enough, Red.”
Audrey had half-turned away by the time Ash snapped back at her. She didn't bother stopping to acknowledge it, either; that would mean letting him see that her blush had deepened, and the last thing she needed to do was show him how much he was getting under her skin before they even got started. She walked calmly to her corner, her steps carefully measured to appear unbothered, while internally, she was refraining from speaking her reply aloud.
We'll see what's under yours, maybe. But I plan to stay fully modest tonight.
By the time she'd reached her waiting spot and taken a deep breath, her face showed no signs of pinkness, her freckles fully visible without the blush to obscure them. When the bell rang, Audrey initially stayed put as Ash began to return to the center of the ring. The redhead was prepared to bolt if he showed signs of charging at her, or even just closing the distance, but no. He wanted to lock up.
Audrey was well aware that her strength did not lie in her... well, physical strength. That said, Ash was one of the smaller males she'd had to contend with in recent memory. That didn't mean he wasn't packing some power, of course, but given her history, Audrey liked her chances here by comparison. So she'd walk right up to him and take his hands, hoping she wasn't seriously misjudging her opponent's strength... or walking into some other trap.

Once she locked hands with him, Ash pressed his fingers down into her hands. Making the grip he had a little tighter and to show her he’s not gonna play soft. Now with a firm grip on her hands, he started to push against her immediately. Pushing off one foot to help gain momentum and stomping his foot forward to she as another push off.
He’s had plenty of experiences to use for this opening. So it helped that his plan was to keep her off balance by using force to push her until they either tripped or had their backs trapped against something. And Ash’s case was the latter where he was trying to push Audrey to the ropes. Of he managed to push her up against the suspended walls of the ring, he’d yank his hands out of hers and grab her shoulders and go for a knee strike to her stomach followed by a a quick teasing chop to her chest

Almost immediately, Ash's fingers tightened around Audrey's as she made contact. He wasn't just testing her - maybe he was to some degree, but with enough force to show he wasn't taking her lightly. Or that he was confident he could overwhelm her easily. Audrey chose to believe the former, because she appreciated it more.
Audrey held her ground - at first. It wouldn't take long for Ash to force her back a step. And then another. She wasn't shoved back like a sack of bricks, but she was losing ground and little pushback. She knew she wasn't the most physically imposing fighter to ever take the ring, but she had hoped she was a little tougher than to allow being pushed around like this...
She grit her teeth and shoved, and for a moment she thought she might have slowed him down. But Ash pushed right back, and Audrey was forced to take another step back. But she couldn't let up, either. If she stopped resisting, if she so much as loosened her grip, he'd just control her effortlessly.
And so she continued resisting. Two steps later, and she felt her back brush into the ropes, which had begun to stretch to accommodate her weight pressing against them. Anticipating Ash to start pushing her down and bending her backwards over them, her eyes darted to the side, preparing to slip sideways and let his own momentum shoot him forwards and possibly over the ropes.
But when his hands snapped free of her grip and she began to fall forwards herself, she realized she'd anticipated incorrectly, and had no time to respond. He instead clutched her shoulders as she leaned into him, her eyes going wide with the impact of his knee into her gut! With the air knocked out of her, she barely had a moment to inhale before Ash pushed her back upright and delivered a stinging chop right to her chest!
"Ghh-!" The two blows left the wires in her brain crossed, her arms floundering while she internally debated which blow to tend to. Eventually she managed to collect herself, with one arm over her chest and the other rubbing her stomach.
But even winded, Audrey recognized she was in a vulnerable position. So while she tended to her body, she ducked her shoulder and attempted to lunge at Ash, if only to create some space between them. It was a little hasty, a bit sloppier than she would have liked, but it was better than simply standing there and letting him follow-up freely. Whether or not she had enough force to actually drive him away, however, was another thing...
