Gemma Faraday vs. Daniel Haines

Danny was in the locker room leaving in his wrestling gear. Today he was facing a rival of his aunts, and a woman who had been surging with a nice winning streak. Sure he was damn near 100lbs heavier but he was smart enough not to take her lightly. His shoulder was still hurting from his match with Blanco but he felt good enough to be able to get back into the ring again.

"Guess who will be going to the ring with their nephew again?"

Danny turned and saw Alaina wearing her two piece tiger print wrestling attire with her title over her shoulder smiling as she came up and gave her nephew a hug. Danny smiled and lift her up, giving her a little carry before putting her down. "I appreciate the rub and know that I've gained more fans based on you coming out with me before so thanks again." Danny said. "I mean if Irelia were here that'd have been amazing but she got roped into a photo shoot and match abroad."

"I know, but I will be here and I can't wait to see Gemma. She got me last time out, but I think she has been thinking she is as good as the champ here. I need to flex on her and if I can't wrestle her tonight I can live through you as you stand tall with a big win. She is good, full of energy and she's been winning lately so you need to be at your best. Bounce back from the Blanco loss and you can do this." Alaina said giving Dan a pat on the back.

Soon his music played and he came out into the arena and the fans cheered pretty loudly but a few seconds later the unannounced LAW Heavyweight Champion came out and flexed before strutting down the ramp beside Dan with the crowd going nuts. Danny was happy she was here knowing full well the only way the fans would cheer him on against Gemma was with Alaina present. Gemma really had been at the top of her game and she was the total package of looks, charisma, and ability between the ropes. The speedo clad 227lb powerhouse climbed up onto the apron then through the ropes standing tall with his arms held out before settling into his corner. Alaina jumped up onto the apron and began rubbing his shoulders and back, whispering a gameplan to him while they waited for Gemma to arrive.

Gemma downed the last of her water bottle, having been pacing around the locker room and backstage hallways for some time before her next match. Gemma had been on a good run, having won several matches recently. It was all part of a planned push by some in LAW management to help showcase her as a bigger star in the promotion … However, Gemma still had to hold up her end by following through and actually winning these matches!

Tonight was her first singles match against a man, the impressively built Danny Haines. Gemma might have been a little too enthusiastic in taking this match, but when she learned who Danny’s relative was and that this could be another chance to tweak the nose of her favorite rival, Gemma just couldn’t resist. She had to have this match … and from the way that producers were waving her toward the gorilla position, the time for that match was now!

Gemma burst onto the entrance ramp with her fist in the air, the crowd cheering as her music spiked. Grinning ear to ear, the punky British steampunk babe strode confidently down to the ring. She high-fived fans, stepping briskly to and around the ring as she tried to greet as many fans as she could. When the time came, Gemma would leap onto the apron, wipe her boots, then throw herself up to the top turnbuckle. There, she would throw up a finger to the crowd, ‘testing’ the air, while grinning toward the welcoming fans. Gemma then leapt down from the turnbuckle, bouncing on her boots toward the center of the ring. She looked at Danny, sizing the big man up and down, as she rolled her arms and neck in anticipation. Then, she cut a quick, cheeky smirk toward ringside, making eye contact with Alaina, looking nonfussed to see her rival at ringside.

Danny watched as he leaned back in his corner allowing Gemma to do her thing, noticing Alaina smile but flex a bicep at Gemma as the two made eye contact. He eventually stepped out and smiled to Gemma, nodding as he approached. "Nice to meet ya. I have seen a bit of your work and it is pretty impressive." Danny said extending his hand for a handshake. "I won't do any of that, uhhh you know, perv stuff some of the guys on the roster are known for. I keep it all about wrestling in the ring." Danny added hoping to put Gemma at ease. He glanced over a scouting report his aunt prepared for him and knew he was the first match she had against a male. He wanted her to be at ease in that regard but he was going to give it his all given Gemma had a victory over Alaina and a pinfall against her in a best 2 of 3 tag match.

“Well, let’s just have a polite, gentlemanly evenin’ of trying to beat the stuffin’ out of each other, then!” Gemma said with a smirk, giving Danny a friendly nod as he promised to be on his best behavior for the match. Honestly, Gemma appreciated it … but still she couldn’t resist the urge to mess with him and Alaina a little bit by bending forward on the handshake, arching her back slightly, and offering Danny a generous view of her bouncing cleavage as she vigorously shook his hand.

When the bell rang, Gemma snapped off the handshake and was all business. It was obvious she wasn’t going to overpower him, but she hoped that speed and skill would keep her from getting overwhelmed early on. Moving quickly, Gemma lunged in and went low, snatching Danny by the arm and trying to step through, twisting his arm into a wrist lock to keep him in one place as the action started!

Danny was ready, moving in at Gemma but she also seemed prepared! Danny's arm was pulled and twisted leaving him wincing as his arm was yanked at a bad angle! He slapped at his shoulder and shook his head ducking and twisting trying to surprise Gemma with a bit of his agility to get back to a better angle! As he did this he yanked her forward and extended his free arm looking to show Gemma some of his power with a clothesline!

“Gotcha!” Gemma said, as she cranked on the wrist lock. However, Danny wasn’t going to stand there and take it, as the big guy was already on the move, yanking Gemma forward and swinging for the fences with a clothesline aimed right at her head!

“Whoa!” Gemma gasped, releasing the hold so that she could duck below the clothesline. Gemma kept moving, running beneath the clothesline and hitting the ropes. The young Brit bounced off the ropes hard, flinging herself back toward Danny, jumping up and trying to swing her arm to catch him in a side headlock from above, hoping that the higher leverage point would help her catch him off guard!

"Damn it, I thought I... NGH!" Danny groaned as he found himself in a headlock! He spread his feet wide to make a steady base in case Gemma tried to send him flying somewhere but he was still stuck in the headlock! Danny grabbed Gemma's grip and squeezed looking to pull her hands apart to free himself.

"Not today, I know ya got lucky and had your day against Alaina but no way you are gonna push me around this ring." Danny said as he began to pry her hands off him. He was trying to build momentum as was Gemma. Both were on the rise and this match carried more with it than most would think by simply looking at things on paper.

“Gotcha, fella!” Gemma chirped, as she locked the headlock onto the big guy. Of course, Danny wasn’t going to just take the grapple, and was quickly at work, using his strength to pry Gemma’s hands off his head and start working his way free. Gemma’s arms trembled as she put up some resistance, wanting to make Danny work for it without putting her all into it. Instead, the quick and quirky high-flyer was already planning out her next move.

“Nngh, wait, I did beat your antie, didn’t I?” Gemma asked with a wink, mid-struggle. “So what’s that mean for you, eh?” Then, as Danny turned toward her, Gemma fired off one of her big boots, right toward his belly to knock the wind out of him! If she connected with that big boot to his abs, Gemma would turn, grab him by the head, and fling him to the mat with a snapmare!

Danny was powering out and about to try a clothesline again when Gemma spun and faced him kicking him! She landed a hit hard enough to stun him for a split second and that was all the time she needed taking him by the head to snapmare him down to the mat! Danny grunted in pain as he landed shaking his head at how he was being outplayed. "You did, but she is still a champion right now and I would love to see you try to pull off a win against her again." Danny said as he tried to rise back to his feet.

“Oh no you don’t!” Gemma shouted, planting one foot on the mat so that she could follow up the snapmare with a swinging kick to the side of Danny’s head. “You stay put, big guy!” Hopefully, Gemma’s kick would stun the big man enough for what she had planned, next …

“You and me both,” Gemma said, as she got her footing back from the kick. “An’ I’m sure she’ll want that match after I plant you for three!” Gemma then threw herself forward, launching into a run for the ropes. Gemma would bounce off hard, coming back on the rebound and using her momentum to leap and roll forward. Grabbing Danny by the head, Gemma would try to snap him forward with an over castle, trying to rock him hard with sheer speed and skill!
