Marquis put on his wristbands as the last part of his wrestling attire. He already had quite the encounter with a female wrestler, but, this was his first real match. All he knew about his opponent up to this point was that, like him, his opponent came from money. That didn't mean a damn thing at the end of it, as money can't buy skill. He began his final stretches before finally getting the cue to enter the famed LAW arena...

His music, a rock version of "La Marseillaise" whom some would say is the greatest song ever written* blared over the loudspeakers of the famed arena. He received a fairly positive response, mostly because the LAW faithful hadn't seen Marquis before, and hadn't had the time to form an opinion on him just yet. Marquis hoped that this match with Danielle would solidify himself with the fans. Marquis entered the ring and went into the corner to wait for his opponent.

When Danielle had been told that she was scheduled for an intergender match, she wasn't sure what to think. The idea of it seemed almost offensive to her sensibilities. She was a woman of class and taste, who disdained being up against mindless, brutish oafs even in the womens' division - she could only imagine what she could expect from the men. When Dani thought of male wrestlers, she thought of sweaty screaming imbeciles with more muscles than brain cells. The very thought of being pressed so closely against an opponent like that, to be thrown around without a care, made her nose turn.

Still, the plans were set - and now, Danielle was ready to make her entrance. At the very least, she thought, her opponent was a fellow French citizen. Hopefully, that country's high culture would have imparted some sense of decency on him the same way it did to her.

Danielle took her place on the top of the entrance ramp, standing with her legs crossed one in front of the other, one hand resting on her hip while the other reached for her chin. It was a pose that showed all the grace and refinement of the model she was before coming to the wrestling world. But, as her eyes scanned the ring and settled on her opponent, she let out a huff that seemed almost disappointed. If anything, this was the exact opposite of what Dani had been expecting, yet it did little to lighten her mood. The boy standing across from her barely looked old enough to have graduated high school, let alone have the strength to so much as lift a finger against her. Was this some sort of joke? Did they have that little faith in her?

The redhead sauntered her way to the ring, where she rose up on the apron. There, she locked eyes with Marquis, and her eyes narrowed into a glare. "Do they expect this to be a fair fight at all? I wouldn't even consider you worthy of carrying my bags," she scoffed. After stepping out of her heels and stashing them under the ring as usual, Danielle slid through the ropes, straightening herself in her corner as she fixed her hair in preparation for the bell to ring.

Marquis watched his opponent make her entrance, and if he was being honest, he was not all that impressed. She looked more like a Victoria's Secret model than a wrestler, complete with a lingerie outfit. Did the LAW higher ups put him in one of those type of matches without telling him? Still, he admitted to himself that this girl was drop dead gorgeous, and seemed like the type of girl who he would pay to get beat up by and have to call "mistress" but, that was for a later time. It was clear that this woman was rather full of herself, with the way she carried herself and her taunting. He had already expected his opponent to be taller than he was, as he was only 5' tall, probably the shortest man on the LAW roster. He anwered his opponent's taunting, "This is a ring, not a runway. Put your money where your mouth is!" Marquis nodded at the ref to begin the match. The ref called for the bell and the match began!

Marquis saw that matches typically began with a test of strength, but, given the height difference, that would be folly. Marquis instead rushed Danielle with a punch to the gut, hoping to turn this into a striking match...

"Hmph!" As she heard Marquis's taunts, Danielle crossed her arms, her brows narrowing into a glare. It was true that Dani's talents were more suited to her modelling career than wrestling, but she wasn't one to take kindly to such allegations - especially when they were coming from a pitiful little brat like the one across from her in the ring right now. She sneered, looking off with a toss of her scarlet hair. "A fine allegation, coming from an underfed insect like you," she muttered with disdain. "You shouldn't cast such allegations when you aren't prepared to make a case for yourself. I'll be happy to show you who you're really dealing with!"

As soon as the bell rang, Marquis came toward her, his fist drawn back for a punch. Danielle, however, wasn't going to let that intimidate her, when she already considered her opponent so lowly and hopeless as to be unworthy of her time. He had challenged her to show what she could do, and she wanted to make that count. As Marquis came into range, Dani stepped to the side before grabbing for his outstretched arm, looking to pull him off his feet by it!

It was very clear that Danielle didn't take Marquis very seriously, it didn't bother him that much: he was used to it, and most wound up on the mat, unless they happened to catch his fancy, than he would let himself be dommed. When Marquis rushed his opponent, Danielle simply stepped out of the way and grabbed him by the wrist, and was soon pulled up like some sort of doll! Marquis wasn't having it, so he aimed a kick right to Danielle's pretty face. If he had to hurt a girl in order to be taken seriously, than so be it!

At first, as she took hold of Marquis's arm, a smile came to Danielle's face. Just as she'd hoped, she'd been able to outwit her opponent, turning the very move he had used to try to catch up to her against him and bringing him to his end! The redhead was already planning out how she'd taunt Marquis about it, belittling him for how foolish he had been to even think that he'd be able to stand a chance against her. But she hadn't given him enough credit - and he was about to punish her for such cockiness, as he kicked up his leg and nailed her straight in the face!

With a gasp, Danielle went down in a heap, clutching at her head as she fell to her rear. Her head was shaken and her vision blurry from the blow, and her temples were still throbbing. Soon, though, she shook herself back to her senses, rolling onto her knees as she glared at Marquis. With a huff, Dani brushed her hair back, climbing back to her feet.

She might not have gotten the easy success she'd been counting on, but that wasn't going to make Danielle any less mad! "Hmmph...insolent wretch!" she spat, pounding her foot against the canvas and jabbing a finger toward him while her other hand balled into a fist. "You think you can put that disgusting foot of yours anywhere near my beautiful face and get away with it!?"

Danielle lowered herself, pointing her shoulder toward Marquis before she came barreling toward him in a blind charge! It was, no doubt, a risky move, one that stood a very real chance of delivering the ex-model into a dangerous situation herself. But Danielle was mad, and she didn't care about that - she just wanted Marquis to learn a lesson!

Marquis chuckled at his opponents whines and wails. This was the best part of wrestling: watching his opponent pay the price for underestimating him. And, like many before her, Danielle was blind by rage at this revelation, though not in the way Marquis was used too, normally they just wanted to hurt him for the sake of hurting him, this time, his opponent was mad at hitter her face, and charged him rather blindly. The folly in this, obviously, was that Marquis was very low-centered, and was quite hard to hit to begin with, and couple that with not thinking clearly due to uncontrolled emotions, well it was a recipe for disaster. Sure enough, all Marquis had to do was get low and sweep her legs, and once Danielle was on the ground, Marquis would flip her over and lock in a Boston crab, hoping to at the very least wear down his opponent, and if Danielle quit, well that was just peaches to Marquis

Even after she'd seen what her opponent could really do if it came down to it, Danielle still couldn't bring herself to accept that she had gone into this match unprepared. Obviously, it had to have just been a fluke - that was the only explanation she could accept! There was no way a lout like this could've actually gotten one over her! Not only that, she was so enraged by her foe's insolence that her mind had focused on only one thing, and that was making him pay. She wasn't going to stop and think of what to do, or how to best approach the situation - she just charged on ahead, eager to hit something!

But that proved to be her biggest folly, and she was only setting herself up for disaster. As Dani came into range, Marquis ducked down and kicked at her legs, causing her to fall back off her feet. She landed on her back with a yelp, her legs kicking up into the air. "No-!" she gasped. "That can't be-!"

But Marquis was still on the attack - and while Danielle was taken by surprise, he was primed to make his move! The next thing the redhead knew, she went rolling onto her stomach, just before Marquis grabbed her legs and twisted them behind her back. She threw her head back with a wail of pain, her body wracked from the force of her spine being forced into an arc!

Sputtering and gagging, Dani twisted from side to side, doing her best to shake Marquis off. She reached out at the mat in front of her, clawing at the canvas in an attempt to drag herself closer to the ropes. "Get...off of me-! This instant!"

Marquis smiled, this was the best part of wrestling in his opinion, seeing the agony of someone who underestimated him begging him to get off of them, "Make me" responded Marquis in a thick French accent. Unfortunately, this move did require a tad bit of strength to hold on properly, and that was something Marquis just didn't have, and sure enough, he was unable to stop Danielle from getting to the ropes. He held on for the full four cound from the referee before letting her go, but, not without one last smack to the lingerie clad butt of his opponent...

Every inch Danielle had to claw herself across the mat, it was with her body tense and her teeth locked into a snarl. Having to drag herself with the weight of her opponent's body bearing down on top of her was unpleasant, but at the least that was something she could bear. What she couldn't, however, was the knowledge that she was in such a lowly and humiliating position beneath Marquis, an opponent who had no right to be besting her as much as he was! Not to mention, he was showing such insolence in talking back to her, too! Dani's whole body quivered with rage, and she balled a fist and slammed it into the mat out of frustration. But she wasn't giving up any time soon. She still needed to make it to the ropes, and that would be enough to save her.

She crawled a few feet forward, groaning and panting all the while, and extended her arm shakily toward the ropes, her fingers just barely stopping shy of them. Danielle panted from behind her clenched teeth; she wished she could just will herself ever so slightly forward! Another few feet, and she'd be free!

But it was just then that Marquis's grip finally gave out, and she was able to push herself just the slightest bit further. That was all she needed. The moment her hand was on the rope, she turned to call to the referee. "REF! REF!! Rope break! Call a rope break!!"

Even when the ref girl hurried over, Marquis didn't let go. Dani would surely have done the same thing Marquis was, if she had an opponent in a similar predicament. But that didn't matter to her now. What mattered was that she wanted to be out of such a disgusting situation at once! She glared at the ref as she got into position, frustrated that she wasn't counting faster. "Hurry up!" But, at last, Marquis let go, giving Danielle one last parting smack across the rear and causing her to let out a squeal as she fell forward.

The redhead pulled herself to her feet with a huff, using the ropes to stabilize herself. She glared at Marquis from over her shoulder, rubbing at her behind where it was still sore from his slap and straightening her trunks where they had ridden up. When she turned, her eyes settled on her opponent - and they were narrowed into a piercing glare.

"A lout like you should treat a lady with some respect!" she spat with disdain. As she tossed her head, she swung out a kick, looking to slam it against Marquis's face if he was still on the ground. Even if he'd gotten up by now, she would still aim for his jaw in a superkick!
