A second clash of rising stars! Deku vs Kotone!

Unread post by Bare »

continued from Here

Deku took a deep breath of air as he stood backstage while stretching his arms about in preperation for his match. Unlike most of his other bouts in Law thus far he was actually quite looking forward to this. Shortly after his meeting with Kotone backstage where the two agreed to a rematch, he had approached some LAW officials and brought the match up to see if they could do it. Luckily they had apparently gotten great ratings for thsi first match so the bookers were eager to get them back in the ring.

Standing up with a smile and cracking his knuckles and neck Deku braced himself with a eager smile. He was looking forward to going against Kotone again, testing his skills against hers, testing their physical prowess… here his thoughts veered… off track as he remembered Kotone’s silky smooth skin and toned muscles and dark hair. Immediatley he slapped himself to get control back as he shook his head. ‘Bad thoughts! None of that during the match!’ He thought to himself as thankfully his music kicked on signalling for him to head out.

As his music kicked on so too did green strobing lights as he dashed out from behind the curtains with a smile on his face he posed for the crowd. Getting a cheer in response he began to make his way down the ramp veering to the left he held his hand out and high fived several fans on the way to the ring. Leaping up he slid under the bottom rope and popped to his feet and posed again for the crowd. Smiling a bit wider he turned to the entrance ramp and leaned forward, hands on his knees as he eagerly awaited Kotone to come out.

After having met an interesting rival, turned into an interesting friend. Koto-chan was eager to meet in the ring against Deku once again, that day was today. She knew that Deku wasn't an easy opponent to defeat, but that just made this match even more meaningful for the bluenette. She knew that he wasn't going to accept defeat like last time, but she wasn't going to be defeated either!
Entrance Music
It wasn't long before that song of her own authorship started to resound in the arena, driving some of the public that was there for her to pull glowing sticks as a sort of idol concert. And soon after that, she came out, dressed in her pink idol costume, singing along to her fans.
Koto-chan: Blue Idol Star!!!
After playing along with the public, Koto-chan walked towards the stage, keeping her sing along. Even by the time she was still inside of the ring, she kept singing and dancing until the song stopped. Until then, she turned around to greet her friend. "Hey! Are you ready?"

Deku smiled excitedly as he heard the sounds of Kotone’s music hit the arena’s speakers, perking up a bit and bouncing from foot to foot in anticipation. But it also helped Kotone’s original song was a outright bop. As she entered the ring he had to admire the way she moved with the music, and how excited and in the zone she was in. Her passion was clear and it was really admirable in his eyes, not to mention that outfit was just… incredible on her.

Realizing he may have been staring he teared his gaze away and shook his head before looking up with a blush seeing Kotone looking at him and speaking. Gulping slightly he nodded excitedly to her. ”You bet I am. I’m really looking forward to this.” He said with a nod while holding his fist up with a ready expression on his face.

As the bell would ring starting the match, Deku would, rather than try to go on the offense, would approach the center of the ring and hold his hand out to her. Hoping for a quick exchange of good sportsmanship between the two before the match really went underway.

An immediate and strong response from Deku, Koto-chan wasn't expecting less from her dear friend! The question by itself was mostly a formality, it was obvious that they were both ready to fight once again. If anything, now that they recognized each other as worthy opponents, the match would only be more interesting than last time.

The two of them met at the center of the ring, where he just extended his arm and she reciprocated as the bell started the match. "I know you wanna win. But I won't be losing this one either" She let him know with a smile, a way to say that their mutual contest was very real, but also very much for fun.

With this mentality, it wouldn't come as a surprise that Koto-chan was ready to begin a lock up against Deku. A bold strategy for someone who wasn't fond of tests of strength, but what the hell! This was a special occasion.

Deku smiled at Kotone as she met him in the center of the ring, her expression the same as it had been in their previous match, only know there was a shade of compassion, or fondness really. Something that only came about when two people knew and understood one another beyond a superficial level. But that was the only thing Deku was willing to let be the same from their first match. After all as much as he liked Kotone, especially in that outfit though he'd never admit it, he was just as determined to prove his own force of will and skill against her!

Smirking at her cheeky response to his opening words Deku just smiled a bit wider back as they shook hands before letting go. "We'll see about that!" He said eagerly as he bounced from foot to foot in anticipation, legitimately excited to tangle with Kotone once again and really show her what he was capable of!

As if reading the mood in the ring the bell went off, starting the match officially and much to Deku's surprise, Kotone to open with a invitation for a test of strength! Surprised by this given Kotone's lightweight frame and status Deku would shrug as he accepted, grasping Kotone's hands and pushing! After all even if he was a bit more bulky their frames were extremely similar regardless, so this may be closer than anyone expected. But if that turned out to be the case than he would devise a plan, if not than Kotone just gave Deku a edge he wouldn't let go of anytime soon!

Koto-chan took pride in her so-called, ability to read others. She was smarter than what she looked, but not as much as she thought most times. Challenging a strong guy like Midoriya probably wasn't the best strategy for herself, and yet she did it. Truth be told she was eager for this match, and not in the regular manner. She felt something different coming from him, she was eager to fight him again just because she knew that it would be fun!

Once she got to feel his hands grappling her, the bluenette began to push at her heroic opponent with the determination to show that she wasn't just a flashy entrance and a couple of fancy kicks. "Say, let's cut the fanfare for now, this match is an unfinished business between us. So I'm gonna treat is as such from here on out" Kotone didn't like to lose, call it her upbringing if you want or her personal pettiness. Her words could be interpreted as a friendly invitation for them to try their best, but in reality she was warning Deku that she was about to try-hard this match.

She liked the emerald hero, but not enough to give up this match without a real fight. She was giving all of her might trying to overpower Deku, but no way that this was her only strategy. Once the lock up had been going on for a good 15 seconds or so, the bluenette idol would use the building strength that her foe was using to overpower her by falling on her back and then trying to redirect him backwards with her leg, a classic judo throw called yoko tomoe nage, let's see if Deku was able to see it coming.

Deku locked hands with Kotone, nodding to the girl as he did so in a acknowledgement towards her. After all the green haired boy both respected and liked the aspiring idol and as a result was looking forward to this match with great anticipation. A feeling that he unknowingly echoed with his the blue haired girl. Additionally he was excited the girl had chosen to start with a test of strength, although he wouldn't admit such himself.

No it wasn't for the obvious reason of him having an innate advantage being bigger and stronger than her. Although even that advantage was mitigated due to their similar builds. No he was excited because a test of strength was in a way, the purest form of competition in wrestling, and competition is what was driving him so far, something that was only reinforced by Kotone's warning.

Nodding in response Deku said nothing. Instead he chose to let actions do the speaking for him as he pushed forward against the girl, trying to overpower her! But this was precisely what she wanted and soon Deku found himself soaring overhead as a result of a throw from the girl! But Deku was no fool. He remembered that Kotone had defeated him in their last match with a judo hold and had studied up on the martial art just for the occasion of their match.

As such even if her throw had been successful he wasn't overtly surprised and tucked himself in, landing on the mat with a roll before popping up to his feet. If succesful and if Kotone didn't see him coming Deku would wait for the future idol to start to stand back up, once she was to her feet he would dart forward, throwing one of his legs up while turning, going for a thrust kick to his opponent's jaw!

Judo is a martial art that Koto has learned from multiple masters, but it was most definitely not her forte. She felt like using it for a sport that demanded so much physical interaction as wrestling did would do wonders for her. Indeed it was an important skill to have in the business, being skilled in a number of self-defense techniques and styles definitely would earn her lots of scores. But the thing with martial arts was that if one was savvy enough, getting the hang out of most styles was not impossible.

For all she knew, the attack was a success and she had managed to get the high ground on this match against the green speedster. But that thought was quickly debunked, she turned around and tried to stand up with all the confidence in the world, only to be met with a kick to the side of her face that sent the girl down even more than what she already was.

"Sigh!!!" Not much came from her mouth, as she was actually very surprised from Deku's reversal and instantaneous counterattack. Yet, her experience with kicks made what to others could have been an incapacitating Instant KO fairly well. Granted, she was still on her back and trying to shake the cobwebs from her head. Now the green-haired chap had all the time he would need to decide on how to attack. If he was as smart as he probably was, he would not let this opportunity go to waste.

In their first match against one another Kotone had surprised Deku with her martial arts prowess, those judo skills of the girl having caught him totally off guard and ultimately led to Kotone defeating the green haired boy in their first match. Now however? Deku wasn't going to be keen on making the same mistake twice against such a skilled opponent. No this time around Deku had been expecting Kotone to bust out a judo throw, and the moment she did so he was ready.

Landing on his feet and immediately responding with a kick for her trouble Deku managed to rock the girl and send her crashing to the canvas in a heap. 'Perfect.' Deku thought to himself knowing he would have to act fast to make the most of this advantage. 'I know just the move.' He thought to himself with a resolute look.

Bending down Deku would grab onto Kotone's ankles before lifting her legs up. As he did so Deku would step over, rolling his opponent onto her stomach before crossing her legs over one another. Immediately the crowd responded loudly, both positively and negatively in recognition of the move he was about to do. "Alright lets see how you handle this!" Deku said as he stepped backwards, looking to lock in a Texas cloverleaf submission!

Koto's moves were very planned most of the time, except she tends to go for an aesthetic objective most of the time, not in this specific case, Izuku's been an opponent that was quick to earn her respect and her special care, a combination that pushed her to give it her best this time around. Judo wasn't her strong suit, but that was it's beauty, she didn't needed to be an expert to send opponents stronger and bigger than her flying like dolls.

This would be what should have happened, instead what Deku managed to do was use this throw in his own favor to pivot and respond with a kick that send her down by messing with the girl's balance. "W-What the-?! Oooof!!!" That was a first time, normally her oponents managed to fall for that or not even being caught in her clutches and beat her before that, but never was her technique used against her.

He was smart, this one...

By the time she even thought of getting up, her legs were crossed like a pretzel and that's when the pain sank in at the same time the response of the audience did as well. It was a Texas Cloverleaf!

"AAAAAAAHHH!!!"

The bluenette wasn't good dealing with pain. And Deku brought in the pain faster than what she expected. Crap, this was bad, she needed to crawl to the ropes and try to go for the ropebreak, even if this hurt like a mothertrucker, she's been through worst!
