onight, the LAW crowd was excited. An intergender match had been scheduled between two up and comers-- one new face to the league, and one who had already gotten a few matches in, but was already branching out into doing intergender bouts. In short, tonight promised to be a bout between two energetic, newcomers who were both going to be eager for victory.

The audience didn't have to wait long for the first of the competitors to arrive, as her theme song soon came blaring to life.

The crowd roared into cheers as Karen Gale came striding down the ramp. Smiling and raising her arms to the crowd, Karen eagerly strode down the ramp, hi fiving the fans as she made her way down to the ring. Rolling under the ropes, the powerful New Zealander hopped to her feet and clambered up to the middle ramp, beaming as she flexed for the cheering fans.

Karen felt like she had been on a roll as of late. Her introduction into the LAW roster had been a great one, as she had already been put into a few good matches to start. Her decision to branch out into intergender matches had been a smart one as well- she was just coming off the tail of a hard fought bout against fellow Kiwi Finlay Zeffer, and the crowds had loved that match almost as much as she had. It was for this reason that she was excited to see what kind of male opponent LAW had pitted her against this Time-- whoever it was, she looked forward to the challenge, and looked forward even more to defeating him.

Stepping down to the middle of the ring, Karen watched the ramp, waiting to see who would turn up...

[Sven]

After his good but not so bright beginning of LAW career, Sven was looking forward for his next match. It would be a intergender match and he was very curious to know who would be his female opponent of today’s match. Sven was waiting in his room and watching the entrance of her; a shiny, vivacious girl which was happily greeting the cheering crowd. He smiled, thinking that it could finally be a match with a fair opponent. Anyways, he wouldn't go easy with her.

Stood up from the bench and walked to reach the curtain which was separating him from the roaring arena. His entrance song started to play and he was called out. Stepping out the curtain, Sven greeted the crowd and, once under the ring, climbed it and passed through the ropes. While reaching his corner, he took a look at Karen with a little smile.

When the ref finished to check on them, he reached the center of the ring. He wanted to meet her and greet before the match, in his respectful style.

Karen, admittedly, had had no idea what to expect from her opponent. The LAW roster, from what she had seen, had a fairly wide and diverse roster, from noble faces to masked heels, from hentai-loving twinks to musclebound grapplers, and everything in between. She hoped she wouldn't be pitted against some dumb gimmick fighter, but if she was, then she'd happily crush them all the same.

Finally, her opponent was announced, and he came striding into the ring.

Whoa.

The first and most obvious thing was that her Scandinavian opponent was huge, a gigantic wall of muscled that came striding down the ring. Everything about him-- his chiseled body, his smiling blue eyes, his flowing mane of golden hair-- was particularly winning over the ladies in the crowd, and Karen really couldn't blame him. But more than that, this Swede looked powerful and challenging. This made Karen even more excited for their upcoming bout.

As Sven rolled into the ring opposite her, Karen folded her arms nonchalantly, putting on a show of looking unimpressed (though Sven was very impressive up close) and looked him over with an approving grin. "Not bad," she said, "I was asking for them to pit me against a tough guy, and they didn't disappoint. Do you know how to use those muscles in a fight, though, pretty boy?" As she said this, Karen would take a step back and playfully flex for the crowd, drawing cheers from the fans; Karen hoped that Sven would follow up by doing the same.

[Sven]

Sven grinned at Karen, happy to meet in the ring a dynamic and positive girl like her. The match was prospecting as a very good one; fair and sportsmanlike, yet tough. At least he hoped so. Keeping the grin on his face, Sven was observing his opponent while flexing, probably more for the crowd than to impress him.

“Don’t worry, I know how to use them…”

And flexed as well showing his muscles which were shining under the lights of the arena, as his pale Nordic skin was like glowing pearl. Sven was typically a serious fighter. But he would let himself enjoy the match in a playful manner if his opponent would be someone like Karen. And so he was enjoying the moment playing with her for the fans.

“I’m sure you’re a brave and worthy opponent, let’s give the fan a good match, ok?”

After the first playful moment, Sven walked closer to her and reached out a hand to shake hers and officially start the match.

Sven seemed to immediately follow up on Karen's showboating for the audience, and started to flex for them as well, causing the crowd to cheer enthusiastically for the handsome Swede. Smiling, despite herself, Karen nonetheless kept a healthy distance before the match began. So far, Sven seemed to be a friendly guy and a good sportsman, and the fact that he was easy on the eyes certainly helped matters...but she didn't intend on taking any chances with him. Not if she wanted to win this bout.

As Sven turned and extended his hand to her, Karen, still smiling, accepted and shook it firmly. "Careful, I may be too brave and worthy for you to handle," she teased, before backing away and waiting for the bell to ring.

And the moment the bell did ring, she began to circle him, staring him down as she motioned for a lockup. She didn't care how much bigger or stronger Sven looked, she wanted to challenge him head on and see for herself just how strong he was.

[Sven]

Karen reached out a hand as well and friendly shook her hand with Sven’s. Yes, that would have be a good match with a fair opponent, Sven was sure about that. Karen though, was taunting him with her words. A good rival must show secure and proud, and that she was.

“It’s good that you are so confident about yourself. I will do my best to be a worthy opponent for you, that’s for sure.”

The bell finally rang and Karen started to move in circle. Sven waited a moment to study his opponent, then moved towards her, arms up, aiming to meet her arms with his.

The bell rang, and as Karen circled Sven, the handsome Swede mirrored her circle. Still smiling, Karen darted in, tying up aggressively with her male opponent. For a few vital seconds, the two wrestlers pushed and twisted against one another, arms intertwined as they grappled for superiority.

Slowly but surely, however, Karen felt herself being pushed back. Gritting her teeth, she switched tactics, twisting around to get behind Sven and twist his arm under his back in order to keep him under control. If she managed this, then she would maintain this grip as long as she could, trying to force Sven to try to work his way around to escape.
