Victory Conditions:An sixty (60) minute Iron Man match, where the win conditions cycle after each fall. The first fall is only by pinfall, the second is submission, the third must be by knockout, and it cycles until time runs out.
This was it. As far as Ryu was concerned, this was a make or break match. He had not competed in an ironman match for a long time but he was confidence he could go the distance. There were many who doubted he could still wrestle, let alone wrestle for sixty minutes but he was here to prove the doubters wrong. Of course, he had to choose someone special- someone who had limitless potential and was on her way to becoming one of the best wrestlers. Valerie had defeated him in a tough match before but this time the toughness of the match was going to be cranked up all the way to eleven. It was not going to be easy for either one of them, Ryu had a lot to prove but so did Valley. Winning this match would prove her first win was no fluke while for Ryu, a victory would mean he was still one of the best despite what anyone else said about him online or to his face.
He had to be thankful to Valerie for giving him this chance but those niceties could wait until after the match because right now they were going to be opponents. He was in the gorilla position, waiting for his theme to cue before he could head out to the arena. He would sit on the bench and stare at the ground in silence, take deep breaths to calm himself down. Part of him feared the worse, that his body would fail him, that he would be unable to perform the levels he wanted to. He had trained well, rested well and was ready for this moment but there was...doubt in his mind.
As his theme cued, he would stand up from the bench and walk out of the gorilla position. The Dragon made his entrance to the arena with mixed reactions, some trying to cheer him on while others jeered him with chants of "Just Retire". He tried not to let them get to it, despite clenching his fists and gritting his teeth. He had to be professional, he couldn't let the pressure get to him.
