Testing Limits: Deku vs Kate Zawislak (D)

Standard Match: Winner to be declared by pinfall, submission, or ko

Deku would take a deep breath in preparation as he got himself ready for his next match. One that would see him taking on a debuting talent from the young lioness program. Unlike most of his opponents till now she was a relative unknown, at least as far as he could tell, so any observations about her he would have to figure out as the match went. 'You got this, you got this, you got this.' He said to himself as a mantra as he got up and walked to the guerilla position, getting the cue from the workers to head out for his entrance.

Coming out from the back Deku would pose and smile as confidently as possible for the fans who cheered rather highly for him as he came out. Walking down the ring and exuding as much confidence possible he would hop up on the apron before stepping through the ropes and heading to his corner, looking up at the entrance ramp, not sure what to expect, but determined to give this young lioness the best debut he could!

Breath in, hold, breath out, repeat. It certainly wasn't easy to stay calm now, minutes ticked by and very soon Kate was to make her debut at LAW, the very first time where she would be staying at any company for more than one event. It seemed that they also didn't want her to have an easy go at it since her first opponent was not only a man but also a full-time fighter, not one of her peers from the program. There was also the possibility they still hung onto the idea of her they initially had, offering her a spot on the main roster though she hoped that was not the case. Either way, there was little time to be thinking about that now as the crew gave her a signal that it was time for her entrance.

Standing ready to get onto the stage, Kate mouthed the words to the song as it started, letting a few seconds pass and walking out just as the chorus hit. She stood on the stage, looking out on the crowd, taking the last chance to have a deep breath, she knew she would have to give her all here. She raised her hand and waved to the crowd before slowly making her way down the runway, then when she reached the ring she would climb the steps and slid between the ropes before moving to her corner, giving her opponent a friendly if a little awkward smile and a nod.

Alright, time to find out who his opponent was.. Looking up at the entrance ramp with a ready gaze Deku's eyes near bogged out of his head seeing the muscular girl descending the ramp. I twas definitely not what he expected when told he was going up against a young lioness, and for a second his confidence faltered seeing just how ripped and athletic the purple haired girl was, already knowing that in terms of muscle definition she absolutely had the edge over him.

It was as she entered the ring though that gave him another breath of confidence seeing up close just how nervous and even shaken. It was very reminiscent of himself when he started out. 'Ok so physically she's a monster, but maybe her skill and confidence are why she's in the young lioness program?' Deku thought to himself, already doing a total overhaul of his thought process while offering a nod back too Kate. The time for thinking would soon be over however as the bell would ring, starting the match between them officially making Deku square his shoulders and approach Kate with hands up, looking to enter a lock up with her!

A quick examination of her opponent made it clear that at least physically she should have an edge, still, there was more to fighting than just strength and he had to be at law for a reason so she didn't get too excited. When the bell sounded, the worry disappeared from her face, the time for that was over, and now she had to focus.

She would accept the tie-up. At first, she would push at her opponent before dropping low, as if she aimed for a takedown. That however was only a bait as he would break their engagement by letting go of him and stepping in with a right elbow aimed at the side of his head.

Deku really wasn't sure what he was expecting. But when he heard he was facing a young lioness, he was expecting... someone that wasn't Kate. Definitely less buff and less confidence than he himself felt. Hell if anything it was as if the roles were totally reversed, and he couldn't allow things to remain that way.

So charging towards Kate he would aim to lock up with her and hopefully take the lead with some grappling. Unfortunately though Kate was a bit too quick on the draw, dropping low and coming up with a elbow right to the jaw that he wasn't prepared for! "Gah!" He cried out in pain, stumbling back before gritting his teeth and turning on his foot, trying to swing his leg for a back kick at Kate!

The opening act went well enough for her, she hoped to get a chance for a follow-up right away but it was just wishful thinking. After all, it was still early in a match and now she had to deal with a kick coming her way. She would lower her hands to her chest, cushioning the impact and letting out a slight grunt as she could still feel the sting coming through her forearms. Then she would attempt to grab Deku's leg and pull on it hard. The hope there would be that he would stop right up against her and if that happened when would reach her hands around his body and lift before trying to throw him back in a german suplex.

Despite a not too great start against his foe, Deku was looking to try and start a comeback against the young lioness, starting with a back kick to her. Which despite the initial blow landing Deku could feel it was mostly blocked. Which was then followed up by his leg being pulled and his back hitting the girl's chest making him grunt from.. just how solid it felt. However this would be the least of Deku's issues as he then felt her arms wrap around his waist before he was pulled off his feet and slammed into the mat with a german suplex! "Gah!" He yelled out in pain, somewhat stunned from the move!

It worked! The conscious part of her brain didn't think it would but luckily it wasn't quite in charge now as she would let go of the hold she had on Deku only to get up and go straight to the next move. Given the opportunity of her foe being stunned as he was she would grab his arm and pull him up before getting up close to him, one hand still garbing his while the other went to his throat before lifting up as high as she could and slamming him back down to the mat in a powerful chokeslam!

Kate was every bit as strong as she looked, maybe even stronger. That German Suplex she hit him with was one of the heaviest Deku had taken in his life and it left him totally stunned from the impact. As such he was pulled up rather easily by her and before feeling a hand seize his throat. Eyes snapping wide as she did so as he recognized what she was doing but he wasn't able to do anything about it before his feet left the mat and he was taken back down to the mat with heavy impact! "GAH!" He yelled out in pain, his legs hanging up in the air before dropping down to the mat before clutching his throat in pain.

This was actually working, she just had to keep the pressure up and she just might win this and if she could have her way she would try to do so fast. The early suplex was of course what did the trick here and she wouldn't have gotten that if not for a fortuitous turn of events but she would nonetheless take that.

Still, given how Deku reacted to the chokeslam she would have to soften him up just a little more and so she moved to get him back to his fit once again before sending him to the ropes with an Irish Whip as she would run in the opposite direction to bounce off the ropes there. If that went to plan and Deku would bounce back she would try taking him down with a crossbody before taking the side control and throwing down punches at his head.
