Re: Riza Hawkeye vs. Keith Fox - Going Viral
fuck. Fuck.
...Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
...
Had she mentioned fuck? Because...Fuck!
That superplex had been devastating, knocking all the wind out of Riza, leaving her heaving and gasping on the mat, just barely able to kick out of that pinfall attempt in the nick of time. Now, she was taking deeping gulps of air into her system again, the warmth and feeling returning to her fingers and toes as her back went completely numb on her from the hard impact of hitting the mat.
For anyone else, an untrained civilian, it would have been many minutes before they managed to even try to start moving, but, much as staying down sounded like a good idea, Riza was trained, and made of tougher stuff than that, and, even with her back still going numb on her, and her breath still ragged, she began to move, slowly, rolling over to her front and pushing herself up on trembling arms, trying to not over-exert her tired body, but knowing she couldn't stay prone like that.
Hawkeye audibly groaned as she pushed herself up, wishing for nothing more than a strong painkiller and a comforting hot tub right at the moment, but that was for later, she needed to recover and find Keith before he attacked her again.
She tipped her head up, looking back and forth for her opponent...and found him in the corner, already climbing to the top and balancing himself for...FUCK.
Reailzing she was dead center in the target zone for whatever high-flying assault Keith had planned next, Hawkeye scrambled, pushing herself up to her feet, her tired legs complaining and trembling in protest against her actions, as she took a step, then another, and finally pulled off a leap forward, grabbing the nearby top rope connected to the turnbuckle Keith was on the top of and throwing her upper body weight onto it, hoping it would cause the rope under his feet to force him off balance!

Re: Riza Hawkeye vs. Keith Fox - Going Viral
Okay. Keith could do this. He’d trained to do this. He was more than ready to do this. All he had to do was scale the ropes, get to the top, then do a backflip off while he spun about in a complete rotation, all so he could land on top of a woman who may or may not even be there when he took flight. Couldn't be easier.
Somehow, it seemed way easier to describe than to execute, as Fox scaled the ropes, he could feel the pressure start to build up. He was on the cusp of winning the match, his first ever, and that weight was coming down on him. He wanted to take a moment, soak in the glory, and ensure everything was 100% perfect.
It might been too long of a moment, however, because he could hear the crowd’s din growing. Sure enough, he felt the pitter-patter of feet behind him, looked over, and saw Hawkeye, up on her feet by some crazy miracle. Worse yet, she was fumbling with the ropes, knocking off his balance, threatening to make him fall.
Well, he might go down, but he’d go down with style. Just when it looked like he might crash, he threw himself backward, flipping off the mat and landing with a perfect three-point stance, right behind Hawkeye. ”Ha!” He snapped his finger and stood up, deciding it was the perfect time to milk his catchphrase. ”You just got Out-”

Re: Riza Hawkeye vs. Keith Fox - Going Viral
Inspiration was a funny thing. Keith looked like he was about to fall, only to, much to the surprise of everyone, he leaped off the turnbuckle with an impressive back flip.
Hawkeye, having keener eyes than anybody in the crowd, was able to notice the signs of him about to leap before anybody else did, and something about the sight, of his body leaping into the air, above her, high enough above that he couldn't be landing on her, immediately inspired an idea in her, something that, she hoped, would put an end to this match, and give Keith a surprise of his own.
Time seemed to almost slow as she made her move, though really, only a handful of seconds passed. Ignoring and pushing herself past the pain in her body, Hawkeye moved towards the turnbuckle as Keith's body flew and flipped in the air above her head, she raised a leg up, planting it on the rope on the bottom turnbuckle, using its bounce to propel herself upwards, turning her body so that her butt would land right on the top turnbuckle as she completed her turn, putting her perfectly in a sitting position at the same moment Keith completed his impressive backflip.
While he boasted and showboated however, Hawkeye planted her feet on the middle ropes and stood, then leaped off of the turnbuckle, leaning her body to one side and bending and thrusting out one of her knees, trying to catch Keith by surprise with a rarely seen top rope version of her finisher, the Boma-Ye styled knee strike she called the Hawks Talon, and if her aim was true, he'd catch it right in the face!

Re: Riza Hawkeye vs. Keith Fox - Going Viral
Huh. That was Hawkeye’s knee. Where did that come from.
It was the weirdest thing. He had just landed from his flip nailed it, 10 out of 10, and his next move was going to take advantage of their switched positions to hit her with something big. He hadn't decided what exactly just yet, but it didn’t matter. Whatever he landed, it would send her flying, fold her up, and finish this match. It was a done deal.
He was just showboating a little, basking in the glory, and then BAM! There was Hawkeye’s knee. Suddenly heading towards his face, moving at an alarming pace, and then…
He wasn’t sure what then, really. He was on the floor, looking up at the lights, but he couldn't remember how he’d got there for his life. All he knew was that he had a splitting headache - like, it actually felt like someone had taken an axe to his skull, and not the flat end of it, either. Couldn't move, couldn't get up, couldn't do much but lay there and mutter. ”What. The Actual. Fuck?”

Re: Riza Hawkeye vs. Keith Fox - Going Viral
It hit. As risky and reckless a move as it was, with so many things that could go wrong or result in injury, with all Keith had surprised or out-manuvered her in this match so far, her biggest risk had paved off, feeling her knee smash into the handsome mans face and send him tumbling to the mat head over heels as she crashed onto the mat herself.
On the ground, Hawkeye panted heavily, sweaty and exhausted from the fast paced battle the two had taken part in, and crawled over to the fallen streamers body, rolling him over to his back and climbing over him, laying her body directly over his own, catching one of his legs between both of her own and holding it tight, pressing her hands against his shoulders, and pressing the rest of her body down on top of his, hoping it was enough to keep him down for the count as the referee dropped to her knees and slapped the mat with a shout of "1!"

Re: Riza Hawkeye vs. Keith Fox - Going Viral
Keith laid on his back, blinking, still trying to process what was happening. He hadn't been knocked out - he was familiar enough with that sensation never to confuse it with anything else, having been put to sleep on more than a few of his YouTube challenges. But he wasn’t wide awake, either. He felt disconnected, like Hawkeye had somehow knocked his soul out with that knee.
He wasn’t moving. He wasn’t even thinking all that much. So, when she came over to pin him and the referee dropped over to start the count, there wasn’t much he could do.
”2…!”
Nothing much more than sit there and wait for the hammer to come down. It had been a wild, crazy match, and he couldn't have asked for much more in his debut - aside from winning, of course. Even as he laid there, though, an idea was starting to worm its way into his head, a ghost of plan for how he could spin this into something bigger. For now, though, it was all over.
”3…!”
The bell rang, the crowd cheered, and the referee reached over to pull Hawkeye up and declare her the winner. Keith, for his part, just stayed on the canvas and ran his hands through his hair, taking it all in. ”Well. Shit.”

Re: Riza Hawkeye vs. Keith Fox - Going Viral
Hawkeye was exhausted. As soon as the referee's hand hit the mat for the third time, she let out a loud gasp and rolled off of him, onto her back, chest heaving as she took in gulps of air.
This fight had been WAY tougher than she had expected, by far. Definitely taught her a lesson not to underestimate anybody in this league, that's for sure.
The referee looked down at her, offering her a hand up, and she groaned. "Ughh...I won though, I don't wanna stand up, make him carry me..." She grumbled, but, with her muscles sore and aching from the stress she had put them through this match, she reached up for the referee's hand, getting pulled up to her feet so her arm could be raised in victory as she looked down at her handsome opponent, waving her hand in front of his face.
"...Hey...you conscious Fox-boy?"

Re: Riza Hawkeye vs. Keith Fox - Going Viral
‘Fox-boy’ was, indeed, conscious, though it might not have been immediately apparent. Keith had thought about getting up and doing all the expected things - he wanted to give Hawkeye a handshake, congratulate her on the victory, and give her all the props she definitely deserved. That had been a hell of a match, and while he wished he could’ve come out on top, he couldn't find too much fault with things. He’d wanted a chance to show his stuff and test himself, and that’s what he’d gotten, no question.
But as the crowd roared their approval and sent applause their way, he couldn't help but notice their enthusiasm and his inner entrepreneur began to work its way out. The germ of an idea spreading in his brain, and while he didn’t have the specifics ironed out just yet, he knew how he wanted to kick it off.
”Hey, whoa, back off!”
Keith smacked her hand away, rolled to the side, and bounced to his feet in a fluid motion - maybe a little too fast if he were being honest. He stumbled a bit as he rose, but caught himself quick enough, straightening up and shaking his head. ”Oh my goooooood. What was that? How the fuck did I lose to a total scrub like that?” He gave the bottom rope a kick and point her way. ”You know that was luck, right? No skill. Just luck.”
He said it like he meant it, too. His acting skills were still on point.

Re: Riza Hawkeye vs. Keith Fox - Going Viral
Hawkeye had to admit, Keith had earned a lot of her respect from his hard effort. She was still the better wrestler between them, she was certain, but he had put up one hell of an effort against her, had caught her by surprise at multiple points, and probably WOULD have won had he pulled off his final attack against her.
So when he hopped back up to his feet, clearly too fast for his own good, and looked woozy, the respect Hawkeye had for the skill he showed, and her willingness to drop hostilities to express that respect was enough for her to step forward to try to help steady him...only for him to brush her off, kick the rope, and...CALL HER A SCRUB!?
Hawkeye's eyes widened, as Keith let out his big immature temper tantrum and insulted her skill, and by the time he was done speaking, her surprised look had turned into a deep scowl and a furious glare, as she crossed her arms in a huff.
"Well! I suppose its too much to ask for some streamer on Tik-Tok to actually know how to show some humility! Why don't you get out of MY ring fox-boy, before I give you another headache with my knee?"
That...was an empty threat in a lot of ways, as she was frankly exhausted, but the idea that this GROWN ASS MAN would be such a *dick* and throw a hissy fit over losing was enough to make her consider continuing their fight!

Re: Riza Hawkeye vs. Keith Fox - Going Viral
Oh, this was good. Fox had been a little worried that Hawkeye might shrink away at the insult, not knowing what to do with it, but she had the perfect response, fighting back immediately. This, he could work with.
”Your ring, huh?” He spread his arms around and looked about. ”Don’t see your name on it, sweetcakes.” Was ‘sweetcakes’ a little too much? Felt a little old-timey for him. He’d have to workshop that. Maybe hold a poll on his Patreon. ”You had a lucky break, but next time? It’s not going down the same way. Trust. Me.”
Fox threw up his middle finger for some added disrespect and promptly slipped under the bottom rope as the crowd showered him with hate. He soaked it with a cocky smile, then made a few more gestures before her hurriedly scurried up the ramp, wanting to get to his phone as soon as possible. He needed to have a long chat with his agent…
