The Perfectionists: Gwendolyn DuPont Bettencourt (D) vs Kyo Akamatsu (D)

Kyo caught a brief glance of Gwendolyn's expression as he came rebounding across to her with a lariat, and noted with some satisfaction that she seemed irritated by his quick recovery. Gwen so far was proving to be a highly skilled opponent-- fast, versatile, and able to keep Kyo on his toes-- but the longer this match went on, the more Kyo was confident that Gwen would discover he too had skill in abundance. A fact she might appreciate all the more after being on the receiving end of this lariat--

Or not. At the last second, Gwen ducked, a beautiful mirage of whipping golden hair, and the next thing Kyo knew he felt his opponent's legs scissoring around one arm and Gwen's hands around the other. He knew what was happening just before gravity shifted, and he was tilted backwards, his upper back slamming against the mat as he was flipped over in a crucifix pin!

"ONE--" was as far as the referee got before he kicked his legs back, abruptly breaking the pin and flipping himself free of Gwendolyn's pin. He rolled smoothly back up to his feet, eying Gwen warily; around them, the audience clapped, impressed by the skillful exhibition of attack-and-counter between the two wrestlers thus far.

Gwendolyn certainly didn't operate underneath the false assumption that a spontaneous pin attempt, not matter how expertly secured, would garner her a surprise victory this early in the match. Especially against a competitor as seasoned as Kyo was establishing himself to be thus far. Although one could always dare to dream as the heiress crossed her ankles with the referee performing their due diligence~...Gwendolyn nevertheless relinquishing her application of the complex pinning predicament once Kyo sprung his legs skyward and regained his freedom. The noblewoman arising upwards as well albeit with a nonchalant pace and lack of urgency, smirking smugly with hazel-eyed vigilance on her spiky haired adversary as the audience at large offered both competitors a round of applause for their seamless grappling interplay.

Scarce and exceptionally few were the times Gwendolyn of all people was offered genuine acclaim considering her haughty demeanor, but matching the veteran Akamatsu brother move for move as if they were wrestling on a chessboard compelled even her most diehard detractors to offer the Snobbish Blueblood adulating kudos. "Hmm, most suitable, indeed~...Continue to prove yourself worth my time as a capable dance partner and I may just deem you worthy of partaking in afternoon tea with me one day~..." Gwendolyn poshly offered with a straightening out of the hem of her outfit along her smooth backside and dramatic flick of her golden ringlets off her shoulder. Once again circling around the ring alongside Kyo, willing to engage in further mirthful repartee until whenever he decided to lock horns once again.

It hadn't been hard at all for Kyo to break the pinfall. Indeed, it was clear to Kyo that it hadn't even been a serious pin attempt; thus far, he and Gwendolyn were simply testing the waters with one another, getting a sense of their respective abilities. It was careful, deliberate...and if Kyo was honest, there was even an element of playfulness to it. But now it was also becoming quite apparent that playtime was coming to an end.

With a single smoothe motion, Kyo rolled back up to his feet, watching as Gwendolyn made a casual remark about the two of them possibly having tea one day as she straightened out the hem of her outfit. Despite himself, Kyo blushed ever so slightly at that comment; he couldn't tell if it was Gwen's usual snobbishness, a subtle flirtation, or possible some attempt on Gwen's part to play mind games with him. Stay focused, Kyo, he told himself.

"You are too generous," he replied smoothly, circling Gwen once again, "though if I'm honest, I often find Western tea ceremonies do not match my tastes. Far too much sugar and scandalous gossip for my liking. Besides, this dance has just begun." So saying, he would spring forward, faking a lockup...and would instead grab for Gwen's arm, hoping to flip her down to her side and press his knees down against her shoulder, twisting her arm as he tried to take her down with a classic armbar!

One should expect a certain degree of flippant merriment coming from the fighting heiress given the high-blooded regality she typically exudes on any given day, although perhaps amplified upon this auspicious occasion considering she's ascertained without a shadow of a doubt that the gentlemanly Akamatsu sibling will be a fine challenge this night. Gwendolyn hereby judging Kyo to be worthy of her sophisticated attention and an exceptionally skilled adversary as well. Most deserving of being elegantly bested by her divine hands in spite of the fact he appears to be woefully unaware of the exalted honor bestowed upon him by even being offered the prestigious opportunity of a seat at her tea table. Socialites of all denominations consider it a privilege they could only dream of.

"...OhHo...I fear you may have simply been invited by rather gauche hosts since proper etiquette decrees that it falls upon them to lead the conversation towards more respectable topics. But yes, shall we~..." Gwendolyn poshly uttered in the preambles towards recommencing this match thusly, competitive glare directed towards the Red Samurai who'd snatch one of her arms meant to lock horns and seamlessly shoulder throw the lightweight highborn. Disoriented with a wincing flinch after crash landing on her back but scrambling from the prone position to instead be situated on one knee with her arm still angled up into an arm wringer. Gwen escaping the worst of all situations when pitted against a submissionist, but still under Kyo's arm torquing control.

Gwen's reaction time, unsurprisngly, was near perfect: while Kyo managed to catch her by surprise with an effective judo toss, the heiress managed to roll up to one knee before Kyo could lock in the armbar all the way; while her arm was still trapped, and while Kyo was still able to keep it under control and twist it painfully, it wasn't nearly what he had been hoping for. This, Kyo thought, was going to be an interesting match.

"I suppose it depends on what one such as you deems a respectable topic, madam," Kyo replied. He and Gwen had been sparring verbally as well as physically ever since their battle had begun, and he was determined not to lose on either front. Even as he spoke, he would try to swing one leg over Gwen's trapped arm. With this done, he would suddenly drop down, trying to force Gwen down onto her front. "But what of you? I wonder at whether you would ever deign to attend a Japanese tea ceremony? With all due respect, I find myself doubting you would have the patience or understanding of the intricate formalities involved." Even as he spoke, he would try to grab for one of Gwen's ankles: with the heiress grounded and one of her arms already trapped, Kyo would try to pull back on her leg and press a knee against her back, hoping to bend her sideways against that knee in a grounded bow and arrow!

Veteran instincts dictated to Gwendolyn earlier on that being wrestled down to the canvas by the elder Akamatsu sibling was an irksome proposition at best. The Regal Blueblood having scouted Kyo as a proficient submissionist within seconds of their initial grappling interplay and how adamantly determined he seemed in his efforts to ground the heiress with his earlier judo flip. The telltale signs of an adversary whose main area of expertise remains withheld until they have their foe flattened on their back with one or several of their limbs no longer under their own control and primed for manipulation. Hence why Gwendolyn intuitively hustled herself off the floor after Kyo's second and far more successful judo flip, her arm still entrapped in the arm wringer but at the very least in a far more favorable position than if she were-

"HuahOOPH!!!" Gwendolyn internally speaking too soon as Kyo adjusted to the heiress' counter on the fly via draping his leg over her shoulder, and eliciting a bewildered glare from the heiress until his added heft compelled her to crumple downward in a snobbish heap. Alarm bells only truthfully began to ring once she noticed her ankle snatched and soon afterward her slender back arched against the solidified bone of Kyo's knee. Gwendolyn grimacing from behind her golden ringlets with her fulsome figure stretched back by the Red Samurai with little feasible recourse other than to simply endure for now. "Tch...I may yet find offense to that baseless assumption. Especially considering I once enjoyed the company of a Japanese tag-team partner who was as vexatiously stringent with proper decorum during Japanese tea ceremonies as I am with my own..."

Keeping Gwendolyn grounded, Kyo managed to get a hold of one of her knees and dig a knee into her back, and before long he had locked in an efficient bow and arrow hold on the heiress. To Gwendolyn's credit, though, aside from a short grunt of pain, she put on a very brave face, doing her best not to cry out in pain as the hold was locked in. Even more impressively, she was still able to trash talk Kyo without interruption even as he locked in the hold!

"I cannot speak to the company you keep, madam," Kyo replied, even as he stretched away at the lithe heiress, "or their standards. Though I assure you, you will be feeling a lot worse than mere offense in a few seconds."

And with that, Kyo would shift his grip from Gwendolyn's arm to her chin, and try to drop down onto his back, elevating the bow and arrow so that Gwen was now being held upright, stretched across his raised knees! "As much as I'm tempted to quip about you and your elevated status, madam," Kyo breathed, "I feel I should instead offer you a chance to surrender."

Tag-team championship gold was not the only benefit of teaming with up with her distinctly Japanese associate/partner. Regimented tea ceremonies taxing even Gwendolyn's endurance whenever it was her friend's turn to host one another at their palatial estate, scolding glares directed towards Gwen and repeated steps taken until they eventually started performing the ritual perfectly. Therefore the Imperialistic Heiress felt herself supremely confident in being able adhere to whatever variation of the ceremony Kyo may be accustomed to, although what justifiably concerned her more at the present moment was the vexing situation she found herself in. Namely becoming the unwilling practice dummy with which Kyo started showcasing his submission expertise upon by grounding and manipulating the haughty highborn to his whim.

"Tch...Do not think my composure so easily undone by-" Gwendolyn's scowling rebuke showcasing her substantial pride as a dignified noblewoman, but was nevertheless interrupted by Kyo's hand cupped underneath her chin and the hefted ascension that came afterwards. Instead supplanted by hacked groans once slanted over her foe's knees in the torturous submission that puffed out her supple abundance, satisfyingly putting the snobbish rich girl on shameful display for the appreciative audience and testing Gwen's flexibility as well as her patience. Being left to dangle meant having one hand free to unfasten Kyo's grip around her chin and allow Gwen to pivot off his knees in his direction and splash breadbasket first onto his face. Gwendolyn hastily adjusted into a grounded side headlock that was torqued but sublimely soft for obvious reasons.

For the first time in this match, Kyo had actually managed to get Gwendolyn to shut up-- an act accomplished by elevating her in an a tightly controlled elevated bow and arrow. The sudden stretching of Gwen's back across Kyo's outstretched knees was enough to make Gwen grunt in pain instead of give her usual haughty quipping, and while Kyo didn't realize it, he was also stretching the heiress' figure out for all the audience to see like some grand trophy. As it was, Kyo was more concerned with making Gwendolyn tap out than with her humiliation.

He was about to ask her to do just that, however, when she felt Gwendolyn grab onto the hand cupping her chin. With a simple yank, she wrenched the hand free, before toppling sideways to land firmly against Kyo. Before Kyo could stop her, Gwen was wrapping an arm around his head, lying sideways across his chest in a simple but effective ground headlock...one that caused her ample chest to press down against Kyo's face, smothering him even as Gwen squeezed into him with the headlock. "MMMPH!" was the only muffled response he could offer as he kicked and thrashed under Gwendolyn, trying desperately to pry himself free as his air was cut off...and growing red, not just from lack of air but from the generous orb of Gwen's that was so stifling his air...

Victorious though Kyo may have been in silencing the loquacious noblewoman it was still an accomplishment fated to be short-lived considering that Gwendolyn's artful prowess in ballet equated to an exceptionally flexible figure. Therefore even though she was indeed racked in spine-bending agony across Kyo's knees as if she were an imperious maiden showcased to the sky above upon a sacrificial alter, the fatigued heiress still possessed the strategic wherewithal to know how to undo her precarious position with nothing more than a scratching claw at her foe's hand and a nimble flip in his direction. Gwendolyn swiftly snatching her arm around Kyo's head in the abrupt counter maneuver that turned the tides of battle back in the heiress' favor.

"...*Huff*...that...was thoroughly unpleasant." Gwendolyn prudishly scolded down towards her grounded adversary whom she herself succinctly silenced albeit through her divine bounteous swelled upon his facials with a secured intensity. Kyo's sightless predicament was to be expected considering baseborn commoners were inevitably blinded by the Regal Blueblood's illustrious beauty~...denying it though Kyo tried in his fervent thrashing about. Gwen thinking ahead by soldiering the elder sibling upward with a rigid side-headlock still tightened on before attempting a balletic hop and bounce off the top rope. Quelling Kyo's scrambling defiance with a springboard bulldog was Gwendolyn's noble intent as she landed with a cushioned bounce off her royal backside.
