Injecting Life: Mary Green vs Finlay Zeffer

Now that the two were back to an even base with Finlay having a better understanding of his opponent's ability and her strengths lied in grappling and technical abilities. As such he moved in for a punch to try and stun the woman. Unfortunately however she caught him by surprise, ducking under and grabbing his leg to pull him down for a roll up!

'What?' he thought to himself in shock, not expecting her to go for such a... cheap end like this and instinctively he would buck hips to get out at two, but even before then he felt her letting go. 'What is she playing at?' He thought to himself, getting up just in time to receive a dropkick to the chest! "Ugh!" Finlay cried out in pain, getting knocked off his feet and down to the mat, holding his chest in pain from the blow, temporarily winded!

Mary grinned as her Dropkick stunned Finaly and she went to grabbing one of his legs to focus on her best asset. She turned Finaly over sitting squarely on his back pulling hard for a Single-Legged Boston Crab! In her analytical mind, she was forming a board of variables just like she did for her various lessons. Mary figured out that working his legs could slow him down and she’d have a better time getting around him by bringing him down to her level. Like so, she went for a very risky maneuver and started letting one leg go just to grab the other one in bending them back and wrenching hard. It could give Finaly a small opening to buck her off, but that’s what experiments are for.

Finlay hadn't expected a roll up pin from Mary, but he could have kicked out of it, however that surprise of his seems to have been what Mary had wanted as the moment she voluntarily let go he would find himself eating a dropkick from her! Laying stunned on his back he wouldn't be able to do anything as the older woman then grabbed his legs and turned him over, folding him in a single legged crab! "Aghhh!" Finlay cried out in pain, knowing he had to do something quick to try and free himself, turning on his side he would try and put himself in position to try and reach over and grab Mary's leg, pulling on it to try and destabilize her and send the woman tumbling over!

When Mary applied the scientific method to wrestling, she had everything in her arsenal to bring the fight to any opponent. Mary combined an easy pin into a distracting counter into a submission. A flawless experiment, but there were still many variables to consider within the process. Like so, Finaly was nowhere near tired enough to elicit a submission from and he reached back pulling at Mary’s right leg as Mary felt her balance give out as she lost her grip in the distraction! Nonetheless, it was only one experiment out of the way and Mary rolled forward to prevent any immediate counters! This was still in the beginning stages of her research.

Enduring the pain of his opponent's hold Finlay had managed to disrupt Mary's balance and bring the woman down to the mat, forcing a break of the hold! Pushing himself up and noticing that she had rolled away Finlay would nod to himself and get back up himself before turning towards Mary. Raising his hands up he would approach her carefully at first before dashing in ducking forward as he neared, trying to get around her and wrap his arms around her waist for a rear waist lock!
