Finding his match in strength in a smaller woman, was somewhat surprising to Diluc. Though he never was one to let surprises stop him, they needed to be dissected, analyzed and overcome, so far it meant that relying on his strength to carry him through was not a valid strategy as soon was punctuated by a powerful chop landing on his chest. "Ghhaaa-!" He let out, taking a half step back, the red mark from where the blow landed blooming onto his skin. Still, it would take more to force him to back up.

Seeing how Skyler pressed her head up against his, he would retract it, only to a split second later swing back to try and headbutt her squarely to the face. He hoped it would force her back to let his next strike have more space to build momentum but either way he would swing his arm down with another chop to his foe's chest.
