Grave Matters: Death Bunny vs Blanco Sombra

Unread post by Luncha_Libre »

The following is a Life After Death Casket Match, set for ONE FALL!
Two caskets are set around the ring. To open the caskets, one competitor must pin or submit their opponent. The winner will be the wrestler who throws their opponent into the casket, and seals it shut on them, sealing their fate …

Image

Prior to the match, the lights darken and silence washes over the arena. Seemingly from nowhere, fog begins to roll in, catching the lights from the floor and drawing the fans' attention to the entrance ramps. Then, a funerary procession makes their way to the ring. Heading to each side of the ring, they work together to carry heavy black caskets toward the ring. The fans watch in silence as the caskets are placed on either side of the ring. The 'mourners' watch with straight faces, their skull makeup showing no emotion as they secure locks onto the caskets, ensuring that no one can get into them too early ... or manage to crawl out.

Once the two caskets are in position, locked down and secure, the procession backs away. They watch the caskets in silent regard, then bow their heads. The procession walks away from the ring without looking up or making a sound, heading back to the fog as it begins to recede. When the lights finally do come back on over the arena, the crowd remains silent, waiting for the action to start.

As Blanco’s music hit the loudspeakers, he looked at the dramatic set-up in front of him. The heavy black caskets set around the ring set a grim tone for the match, and the luchador knew that at the end of the night, he or his opponent were getting carried out of here in one of these. Holly Matheson followed close behind, squeezing his shoulders reassuringly as he looked over it all. The British woman had insisted this could be the major, name-making win Blanco needed to make his name in LAW. Blanco agreed, in the end, but he knew it was going to be an uphill battle. And at the top of that hill was one of the most feared women in wrestling …

Blanco and Holly made their way down the ramp, high fiving fans and stopping for a few pictures. Then, Blanco sized up the ringside set up … and jumped onto one of the caskets. Taking a moment, he drew a cross over his chest, then pointed to the sky. From there, the luchador bounded from the casket to the ring, hitting the apron. Blanco wiped his boots on the apron three times, then grabbed the top rope and used the corner to vault into the ring. Blanco mounted the turnbuckle and raised his arms to the fans.

The fans cheered, and Blanco raised his arms high to greet them. Blanco then pointed to the ringside caskets one more time, looking at them with a mix of trepidation and fascination. Standing next to the casket, Holly looked the grim wooden box over and chewed her lip. Getting a sense of the grim reality of the casket brought up some uncomfortable thoughts in the British Bombshell, and she looked up to her man with worry. Blanco, for his part, tried to look unbothered. Jumping and twisting in the air, Blanco landed in the ring. Pacing, he stretched his arms, rolled his joints, and tried to keep limber as he waited for his opponent to make her way down to the ring.

"...we want Bunny...*clap-clap-clap-clap-clap*...we want Bunny...*clap-clap-clap-clap-clap*..."

A palpable fervor now stirred amongst the fandom with several seconds now spent fixating themselves upon the sight of an emptied entrance ramp, spiteful detractors and fascinated admirers alike joined in their mutually shared fascination of what was about to transpire. A veritable Phenom within the wrestling industry on the cusp of making their presence known and renowned for her undying endurance, savage strength and aura of macabre mystique that invariably attracts engrossed onlookers...alongside rambunctious challengers seeking to make a name for themselves it seems. Close to a minute later the houselights started flickering on and off as if in some third-world dilapidated apartment. The brief pauses between light and darkness started becoming longer and more drawn out as time went on until finally nothing but pitch-black nothingness overcame the arena. Startled fans began offering starlight sparkles in the darkness from their cell phones for several more seconds until...

A singular chime signaled for the Avatar Of Death herself to start stepping through the curtains to the complete engrossment of the masses around her. People captivated by the sight of such an unequaled presentation as she took plodding, prolonged steps to a midnight blue shaded lighting all along the entrance ramp. Death offering scant little attention to neither the occupants around/inside the ring or the fans alongside the barricade daring to outstretch their hands. The caskets at ringside being offered her solemn reverence however as she marched towards the steel steps, and from there into the ring through the ropes whilst holding onto her wide-brimmed hat. Death standing upright in her ring corner until she tipped off her hat to signal the illumination of the ring...and reveal the fulsome figure and ethereal beauty underneath. Stoic determination on her captivating facial features as she offered her belongings to ringside personnel knowing full well not to do anything to break her concentration.
Death
Image

Death taking the time to adjust her gloves, crack her knuckles, and casually shift her neck towards her shoulders to get the kinks out. Admittedly curious as to the caliber of competitor she'd be squared up against considering they seemingly campaigned for this match type with absolutely no provocation from D.B. whatsoever. Considering the high mortality victory rate Death has accrued when it comes to matches of this particularly grim ilk, she briefly ruminated on if maybe there was something in the water over here in LAW that compelled wrestlers to sign up for challenges that were well above their skill level. Or perhaps Blanco held the keys to his success somewhere on his person. Death figured there was only one way to fund out, now approaching the middle of the ring to meet this lucha wrestler himself...

Blanco waited in silence as Death Bunny made her emergence into the arena. He watched closely as the statuesque woman made her way down to the ring, a quiet falling over the entire arena. Death Bunny had an impressive reputation, and Blanco admitted to himself that she was living up to it on physical presence alone, at least. Tall, statuesque even, the woman carried herself with incredible confidence to the ring. Beneath his mask, Blanco’s eyes widened at the sight of her once Death Bunny was standing in the ring. Blanco shook his limbs out a bit, suddenly feeling like he should likely loosen up a little bit more, anything he could do to warm up for the bout ahead of him …

“Bunnies are supposed to be cute …” Holly said in a small voice, watching Death Bunny stride past her. Feeling dwarfed, Holly crossed her arms beneath her ample bust, looking a little defensive at the passing of Blanco’s opponent. Holly had pushed for this match, looked at some pictures online … but had to admit that she didn’t watch any of the matches this woman had been in. Perhaps, just perhaps, she had signed Blanco up for a little more than he could chew, this time around.

Blanco remained silent as he paced his corner of the ring, watching Death Bunny. He was used to heading into matches with a visual disadvantage, but there was no denying that Death Bunny had more going for her than ‘tall.’ The luchador shook it off. He returned to Japan to be challenged, and wrestle some of the best in the world. One way or another, this was what he wanted. When Death Bunny was settled into the ring, Blanco would approach at a respectful distance, before extending a hand. He tried to look Death Bunny in the eye, respectfully, seeing how she would react to an offer of respect before they tried to lock each other into a terrifying casket …

As daunting and undoubtedly macabre a figure she strikes, Death would be reluctant to remark that her pronounced bunny ears sometimes adds several inches to her perceived height. Unintentionally mind you considering her menacing aura didn't necessarily need any visual obfuscation to make it abundantly clear the caliber of battle-hardened opponent she was. A tranquil calm exuded from her as she observed her adversary from afar along with the...person, at ringside. Any judgmental observations taken from Holly would have to wait considering the lady in red was practically a wallflower at this point as she withered into the distant background. Considering this was her second match in LAW where her foe was accompanied by a friend/manager at ringside, it did make Death genuinely curious as to whether this was a popular trend around here. Certainly she didn't cut so formidable a figure around here that all her adversaries felt it necessary to bring backup to their matches...nah, it was probably just coincidence.

The Reaper
approaching towards the middle of the ring where her masked dance partner for the night awaited, and she could see even from a distance that the luchador was about as physically fit as one expected. Yolked...as she once overheard within the locker-room and clearly capable of athletic feats as befitting the traditional wrestling style, but it would probably still take some time to ascertain just what Blanco was capable of when his back was to the wall. Death glancing down at the offered handshake and examining it as if it was completely alien to her...before ultimately clasping onto his forearm instead of his hand. Returning the sign of mutual respect with one more accustomed to her liking as if a competitive bond between fighters was forged between their arms...one that Death held onto even once Blanco attempted to step back. The ring bell in the distance prompting D.B. to yank Blanco into her clutches, clasping them around his neck and one of his arms. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance..." Whispered against his neck before chucked backward in a gargoyle suplex.

Blanco watched as his opponent approached the center of the ring. The statuesque woman cut an imposing figure, towering over him in the ring. Blanco had faced bigger women in the past. Sometimes, he would manage to outwrestle them and put them away. Other times, the smaller man would end up exactly as you’d expect, going up against a bigger opponent that could squash him like a bug. The way Death Bunny carried herself, Blanco knew he would have his work cut out for him. He looked her up and down, powerful figure and cool look. The luchador nodded, knowing what a win over a woman like this would mean for him. Holly knew the same, but she looked far less dedicated than he did. Nervously, she tugged at her red dress, and watched closely as Blanco went for the handshake.

Blanco nodded as Death Bunny clasped his arm and shook him there. It was a sign of respect, he knew, and he appreciated that she didn’t just cuff him one before the bell. However, the bunny-eared powerhouse wasn’t going to be taking it easy on him, either …

“Plea-Whoa!” Blanco tried to reply, as Death Bunny leaned in to whisper into his ear. The words sent a chill down his spine, all the distraction Bunny needed to hook him and fling him over with a gargoyle suplex! Holly gasped, rushing toward the ring apron in shock.

Blanco went up and over, the big woman getting plenty of clearance pulling him off his feet. Blanco twisted in the air, using that height to his own advantage as he went through the air. Accustomed to moving off his feet, Blanco tightened his grip on Death Bunny’s arm, kicked his legs out, and pivoted at his hips to try and reverse Death Bunny’s throw into an arm drag.

Just so there's no hard feelings, Death was being earnestly truthful when making her introductions to the masked luchador. Blanco seemed like a cordial and respectable gentleman, and considerably courageous to just straight walk up and offer her a handshake like she was any other wrestler. The aura of macabre mystique around Death tended to ensure others stayed at arm's length at all times and scarcely ever meant any locker room conversations. Girl talk...wasn't really her thing backstage. A lack of genuine social skills being one reason as to why she opted to return Blanco's welcoming gesture with a catch and release gargoyle suplex intended to dunk the luchador onto the back of his head and shoulders. Another reason being that Death merely saw it as an opening eager to be capitalized upon, and her predatorial impulses instinctively took over just in time for the ring bell to signal the match's commencement off in the distance.

Death embracing her adversary and bringing a slight bloom of her bosom against Blanco's pectorals before bucking her hips in the preamble to the suplex...except noticing Blanco continue to clamp their hands together. A startled gasp taken as Death found herself going right along for the ride in Blanco's spiraling direction and yanked into a barreling tumble herself!!! The Reaper crashing into the canvas and skidding along on her backside until eventually settling into a seated position, gawking in wide-eyed perplexity straight ahead. "...Huh...that usually works..." Death poignantly remarked while trying to ascertain what the hell just happened, blinking emphatically as she arose with a scowl and intent on mowing Blanco down with a clothesline. Audience members now beginning to rally behind the masked hopeful kicking the match off with a startling counter and unexpected answer to Death's suplex!!!

Blanco was used to being the shorter man in the ring, whether his opponents were male or female. However, none of the opponents he’d faced before had the sheer ring presence of Death Bunny, and the statuesque woman had more than enough presence to spare. So, when Blanco reversed her suplex attempt and sent the big girl skidding across the mat, the crowd came alive. Blanco skipped up to his feet, hopping in place to keep himself limber and ready for whatever came next. He wasn’t taking anything for granted in this match, and knew that an opponent like Death Bunny wasn’t going to be off her game for very long, regardless of how startling his counters might be.

“That’s it, Mister!” Holly cried out at ringside, “Kick her bunny ass!!” Holly was jumping up and down, body bouncing in the tight red dress she’d worn to the ring. For all of Blanco’s caution, the British Bombshell was ready to celebrate already. The crowd cheered along with her, as Holly nearly bounced right out of the confines of her dress.

Blanco kept his eyes on Bunny, however, steadying himself as the big woman threw a clothesline at him that could have taken his head off! Blanco moved forward, toward Bunny’s clothesline, ducking his head at the last second to dodge it. Blanco felt the air move through his hair, knowing the power that she was throwing it with. Blanco kept moving, hitting the ropes and bouncing back toward his opponent. Rebounding with as much momentum as he could muster, Blanco would jump into the air, aiming to wrap his legs around Death Bunny’s neck. From there, momentum would whip him around Death Bunny as he tried to hurl her to the mat with a spinning head scissor takedown!

Although lost amidst her own perplexed confusion as to how she wound up seated here on her bunny backside after having her suplex attempt seamlessly countered, that one nimble feat from Blanco was already starting to give Death an irksome idea of just what what kind of adversary she was dealing with today. This early on into the match's inception and already shots were metaphorically fired and statements were definitely made given how the first grappling interplay between the unorthodox pairing concluded with D.B. being arm dragged with a startled yelp across the ring and the masked luchador unscathed and an eager bounce to his step. Only several seconds were spent gathering herself before Death aimed to right that past mistake with a determined grimace as she pivoted over and arose once again. The vague notion that Blanco could have possibly just gotten lucky still being a distinct possibility Death now operated under.

"OKAY...let's try that again..."
Death bitterly stated on her encroaching approach towards the fleet-footed luchador, fists clenched with an ominous gait to her stride before rampaging straight ahead with a cock-backed lariat that only wound up making direct contact with the air above Blanco's wild-haired head. A skidding stop taken as the Rabbit Reaper balked from having swung out at the plate, swiveling around once she put the brakes on to gain eyes on Blanco again. Except she'd observe more of him than she'd appreciate once the luchador made himself comfortable seated on Death's shoulders, the unmistakable swell of his package and tightened thigh muscles on her heaving facials giving reason to Death being justifiably stunted long enough for Blanco to send D.B. spiraling over towards the ring ropes. On her knees and left to hang her head and arms over the middle rope in a dizzied slump, adulation rising further for the lithe luchador!!!

So far, Blanco Sombra had managed to stay one step ahead of death herself in this match. His counters and acrobatic tricks had managed to send Death Bunny rolling on her ass a couple of times now, but that kind of action was requiring all of his focus. The fans were shouting out in shock and approval as the high-flying masked man was using his skills to keep Death on her butt, going past ‘unexpected resistance’ to the dominant Rabbit Reaper and starting to look like a challenge for her.

The crowd popped again as Blanco ducked the lariat, ran the ropes, and used a head scissor to whip Bunny off her boots and send her careening into the ropes. Then, the fans started to go wild! Rolling off the landing, Blanco popped up to his feet and saw Death Bunny … in the embarrassing position of dangling off the middle rope, a classic set-up that any luchador would have jumped on. At ringside, Holly was showing her excitement too, her tight red dress threatening to burst at the strain of her bouncing bust, while Holly leapt up and down, shouting and pointing to Bunny’s open body.

Blanco clapped, seeing what everyone was calling for and ready to give it to them. A tribute to a friend/rival, and a classic move within lucha libre. With a mad dash, Blanco ran the ropes. His thin body hit them hard, springing forcefully off and sending himself careening toward where Death Bunny was dangling. Without hesitation, Blanco dove between the ropes. He gripped the top and middle rope tight, allowing his momentum and mechanics to swing his legs around on a sharp pivot. Blanco’s toned legs swung straight for Death Bunny’s face, ready to hit her hard with a classic Tiger Feint Kick!

An apt metaphor for this entire situation could be likened to someone trying to hit a mosquito with a baseball bat. A destructive force that would assuredly annihilate the pestering target but whose lightweight agility and nimble swiftness made it capable of deftly evading every single strike. Gameplans have obviously been concocted beforehand by the luchador to counter Death's savage tempo in her wrestling game as her lariat whiffed through the space above Blanco's ducked head. The scowling bunny girls malicious attempt at righting the wayward trajectory of the match only serving to steer the direction moreso in favor of her adversary, pivoting in place with only one step taken forward before a muscled pair of thighs tightened down on her. One gasping exhalation later and before Death even knew what was going on, her feet had long since left the floor as a barreling tumblerina now perched over the middle rope.

"...*hack*..."
A sputtered cough chortled out since her windpipe collided with the middle rope. Which only made Death's position that much more precarious as her arms dangled over the rope as if she were securely locked within a medieval pillory and both legs extended far behind her with only a meager kick up by the knee to one of them. Death's eyes narrowed to thin slits due to her dizzied sensibilities as Blanco's hypewoman rallied the audience into a whirlwind of anticipation while pointing out D.B.'s shameful state. One that was ripe for taking advantage of as lucha fans hollered in enthusiastic approval from the swiveling strike of his boots mashed into his foe's facials to a thunderous ovation, joined by whiplash in a calamitous union that saw Death recoiling backward until she was splayed out near the middle of the ring. Seeing stars with several seconds necessary before she'd even attempt soldiering back to her feet...
