When the bullet hits the bone- Lex vs Manami!

*Another day passed, another day of making the rounds, catcalling, and being an overall misogynist in the eyes of almost every woman he encountered, but if not him, then who else? This line of thinking, while not the most effective when trying to impress the opposite sex, certainly earned him a plethora of opponents willing to meet him in between the ropes- The vast majority of which he battered and bruised, branding them with his own form of a souvenir, a lasting tattoo of shame for underestimating his pugilistic prowess. Now, however, he was retiring for the evening, steadily working a heavy bag by plowing his bare knuckles against the reinforced leather. The illustrious Gem's Haven was still considered open to the public, with only The Silver Bullet being the inhabitant to the naked eye.*

"They didn't stand a chance against someone of my caliber~" *He chortled to himself while rolling from side to side, pretending as if he were dodging shots in real time.* "Then again, my fists seldom meet someone that can provide them with an adequate challenge. Perhaps I should start fighting with weighted wraps to keep things interesting~" *His derisive tone was heard by only himself, which was just the way he liked it.*

Manami knew she was a still a newbie when it comes to wrestling. Sure she was more than physically capable, but Manami was hardly a expert or veteran. Still she knew that to be a good wrestler she needed to keep up with her training. Luckily Manami was directed to a gym nearby, the Gem’s Haven. Manami would be lying if she told you she did any research on it before hand. Still she figured, a gym is a gym, it can’t be that different right?

Reaching the gym during the evening, Manami figured she could get some light conditioning done. The gym didn’t seem to be that full, that was a good thing. Since Manami in the fitness community was very recognizable, at least here she would be but to work out in peace. Coming in with a full duffel bag, Manami looked for a nearby station for her. This gym had to be state of the art, since Manami was able to find a station made for both squats and all manner of bench presses. Dropping her back near the station, Manami would take off her hoodie, revealing her Amazonian like figure. Outside of the hoodie, Manami dressed to be ready immediately.


Okay…this is good not a lot of people. Maybe I can get in a good workout without disturbing anyone. I can’t make trouble on my first day
First Manami would start things off by doing light stretches. At least this way to warm up and loosen up her muscles. Afterwards Manami would start of with something light. Setting up the station accordingly Manami was going to start with squats, finding the bar, Manami would load the bar with something she considered light. Yet admittedly for most people would have been their max lifetime weight. Placing several weights on the bar. Amounting to nearly 250lbs, Manami would bring up the bar and slowly lower herself and begin her workout. If anyone were looking, it would seem like Manami was barely struggling to squat that weight.

Upon finishing her workout, Manami would place the bar back in its normal position. Striking a calm, cute and yet triumphant pose. Whew, that was a good start. Maybe I could do a bit more weight for the warm up? Manami thought to herself, as she pondered the more weight. It seemed that things were going to be calm and quiet.

*Under the illusion that he was the only one occupying The Haven, Lex's sixth sense caused him to due a cursory glance around his immediate surroundings, and out of the periphery of his vision he spotted an unusual figure from afar- She was colossal, large enough to be considered inhuman, seemingly unfazed by the prodigious weight she was maneuvering around. He'd witnessed this before; the lone hermit trying to get a quick workout in with nobody gawking at them, trying to savor their unobtainable peace if only for a moment. Lex, however, had other plans- Sauntering towards the isolated Amazon, he'd prop himself up beside her, crossing his left boot over his right with a smug expression stretching across his face.*

"Decent form. I'd readjust your left leg as to not put too much excessive pressure on it~" *He thought out loud, wondering if she'd bite.* "It must be cumbersome carrying around that much beauty, so I couldn't imagine the degree of fatigue you'd be experiencing if it were just on a single leg." *Flashing her his pearly whites, he decided to complete the entire package by stretching his arms outward and popping a solid bicep upright, exposing her to his chiseled physique.*

"Name's Lex, The Silver Bullet, The Casanova of The Sweet Science, and the list goes on and on~" *Continuing to unabashedly ogle her while she squatted, the loquacious loudmouth silently admired how stacked she was- From her toes to her nose, she seemed to never skip a single day of anything, nearly embarrassing him by comparison.* "To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking with?"

Manami being done with her initial warm up was just the start. Now she was going to get more serious and tack on more weight. Luckily Manami didn’t seem to be drawing to much attention. Oblivious as she was, anyone would pay attention to someone warming up with nearly 250lbs. While Manami was setting up for more weight, unbeknownst to her. Manami did draw someone’s attention. With a decently sized male propping himself up next to Manami’s station. Admittedly giving Manami some backseat advice, not that she was aware of the ulterior motives.

Oh hi there. My form? My leg placement was right. The narrow stance for the workout is meant to target and isolate my lower body muscles including those glutes, hamstrings and lower back. Thank you! I do appreciate the concern though. Manami let out a quick and comprehensive response to Lex’s remark. Being an Olympic athlete it was hard press to try and critiques Manami’s form of all things. Manami didn’t even bat an eye to Lex’s flexing biceps.

Lex would follow and introduce himself with several titles. Titles that seemed to be self-proclaimed yet Manami wouldn’t know that on the first listen. OH I’m so sorry, My name is Manami Kubo. A pleasure to meet you. We’re you also working out here? Manami asked as she finished her weights. Now giving Lex more attention than before.

"You could say that, yes~" *Having spent years of his natural life carrying around his enormous ego, Lex's body was remarkably sturdy from such a phenomenal feat of strength. Manami, however, seemed relatively undeterred by his intrusion, which only encouraged him to try that much harder.* "I was just dusting off my knuckles against some immobile objects, but given that you're here, how about we spice up this otherwise mundane evening~"

*Gesturing towards the vacant ring only a few feet beside them, Lex flicked his eyebrows up as an indicator of what he had in mind.* "If you're willing to humor me, I wouldn't mind going a few rounds with someone of your...stature, if you know what I'm saying." *His eyes beamed with a quietly building excitement, concocting numerous ways of how he'd be able to dismantle her with his own fists.* "What do you say, Mrs. Kubo? Up to test your toughness against The Haven's strongest?"

Manami wasn’t sure what to expect from Lex. Manami tried to not make assumptions about people, but since her and Lex were both in the gym they had to share at least something in common right? Lex continued with his efforts despite Manami’s obliviousness. Yet the silver haired man was rather forward as he touted dusting his knuckles. Even Inviting Manami into something more exciting.
Oh how nice, not quite sure what you mean, but still nice. Mundane? I wouldn’t say that at all Manami responded to Lex honestly as she went over back under the bar.

Once Lex gestured toward the ring, Manami was still not sure what Lex was looking for. He would be very clear in what he wanted, a few rounds in fact. Nervous at the idea of fighting in the gym Manami, got away from under the bar to try and mitigate the situation.
I’m sorry I don’t think you’d find me good company in the ring. You seem to know your way much more efficiently than someone like me Manami said waving her hands trying to defuse the situation.

"Oh? Do I?" *Lex curiously responded, wondering how she could have assumed something based solely on his bluster.* "Don't tell me that a little banter was enough to scare you away." *He silently reflected on his previous actions, refusing to apologize but deciding to downshift the tone with which he addressed Manami with.* "There's no need to be shy with me- I promise not to unload on you too much, and it'll only be for a few minutes, which goes by in the blink of an eye~"

*Still adamant on salvaging the situation, Lex approached the edge of the arena while gesturing for Manami to join him.* "I'm sure you can withstand a few shots given that burly figure of yours~" *He commented, a smug countenance on his face as he said so before entering the ring himself, resting his backside against a nearby corner as he waited for her answer.*

Manami was looking to shy away from this whole sparring thing. Sure she’s done boxing, but Manami was looking to keep towards the weights. Something that Lex keen on moving her away from. Yet it seemed that Lex also was equipped with a sliver tongue. Playing with Manami an joking whether or not she was scared about the endeavor. Scare me away? No not at all, just would be a waste of time is all. Manami said waving Lex off. Still he was showing his persistence saying that he’d promise to go easy, and it’d be a quick endeavor.

Now going into the ring Lex gestured Manami to join him, even complimenting her large figure saying that it would help her. Manami being the sweetheart that she is, at this point lost to Lex’s persistence. Shaking her head away Manami gave away to Lex’s wishes and entered the ring. Manami went in between ropes and stood very tall from the ropes. Okay, here I am. What are the rules for this? Also what about the gloves, unless this is one of those illegal bare knuckle fighting venues.

"I had a feeling you'd ask~" *The second she popped the question pertaining to their naked fists, Lex momentarily slipped under the ropes to fetch two, pristine pairs of gloves- One set matching his beige boots, while the other seemed to be a standard, eggshell white.* "These are all we have on such short notice, but I assure you that they'll fit." *He nonchalantly tossed the leather cages in her general direction before slipping on his own, proceeding to bounce on the balls of his feet for the impending skirmish.*

"Standard rules apply- Knockdown only, clinches are fair game. No rabbit punches, low blows, or crying after you kiss the floor. Since I did spring this on you on such short notice, we'll make it a one fall contest~" *His tone oozed with an insufferable degree of self-confidence, but if Manami took a moment to gaze around the massive gymnasium, she would realize it wasn't all bluster- He was featured in dozens of images, each one displaying him with some form of accolade or prestigious award for his dangerous fists. Suffice to say, tonight was about to get interesting. The Silver Bullet extended his arm sideways, giving it a nice pull as he began to silently strategize for his gargantuan foe; he'd conquered larger, but she would be quite the daunting task to topple.*

Manami didn’t have much to say in response to Lex. For some reason she was beginning to think that Lex had planned something like this happening from the start. Not that it mattered now, Manami was already in the ring with the man. The only thing she could do is humor Lex and box with him. You know why weightclasses are in place right? Manami said as she bent down to grab her gloves. They seemed to be on the smaller side of things for her. Still nothing that would hamper her performance majorly.

Listening along to the rules, Manami felt like things were normal enough. Even if the one fall rule might shorten things, if anything Manami liked that rule. It would make things go by faster. Why am I kissing the floor? You sure are full of yourself Manami said confidently as she finally finished putting on the gloves. While not to showboat, Manami would throw a seemingly slow and powerful blow, the wind seemed to be forced to follow Manami’s fists. Starting whenever you are ready.
