Born in Buffalo New York while her parents were traveling but raised in New York, her family grew up broke after her father lost his job. Viola constantly argued with her parents until she had enough and left home at thirteen turning to a life of crime to stay alive. She tried to rob a man once who turned out to be Arthur Perez before she was surprised to be surrounded by the local Mafia and even more surprised when Arthur took her in acting as a sort of father figure for her but a bad influence at that.
