Born into a well-to-do family in Saudi Arabia, Halima was always the quiet child. She was brought up with wealth, class, and dignity, something that irritated Halima to no end. However, it seemed that her fate was set.
This all changed when Halima’s father suddenly and unexpectedly died. He was always rather strict and distant, and, as much as she hated to admit it, his death was probably the best thing to happen to her in a while, as she finally felt free. She left her mother in the dust as soon as she turned 18.
Unfortunately, she didn’t have a lot of opportunities in Saudi Arabia, so she decided to immigrate to New York City in the United States, where she worked at a laundromat for a spell.
One day, she heard some people talk about an underground fighting league. Intrigued by this, she tracked it down, and was soon a regular at the fights. One day, a drunk tried to remove her head covering, Halima responded by giving him a bloody nose, and sure enough, she became a regular fighter, earning the nickname “The Desert Witch”
One day, after a particularly one-sided affair in Halima’s favor, a gentleman in a suit approached her. Apparently, he was a recruiting agent for a wrestling federation called LAW. Seeing this as a bigger paycheck on a grander stage, she accepted the offer. The Desert Witch had landed in Japan…
