Tory Barnes was born and raised in the suburbs of Washington DC. She had a relatively normal childhood, One of her favorite things to do was to pretend to be a superheroine named Lady Liberty. Her family didn’t think much of it and since most of her “heroism” involved helping taking in groceries and finding lost stuff, the neighborhood tolerated it too.
After a while, she grew out of that stage and into the typical high school life, but, it seemed that Tory had little direction in life, despite graduating near the top of her class. She got into George Washington University and majored in sports medicine. Even though she basically got a great career locked up, she felt restless, and felt that her life could be something more…exciting.
Her chance for something exciting came when she was hired as part of the nursing staff of a local indy wrestling federation. Eventually, someone commented that she was in pretty good shape, and that maybe she should try wrestling. Tory, always wanting something exciting, began training. Sure enough, she was a natural.
The fed, emphasizing gimmick and theater more than the actual wrestling, wanted to hire her as a wrestler, but, she needed a gimmick. Remembering faintly of her childhood, she presented them with Lady Liberty, and the crowd ate it up. After a few years with the fed, she got an offer from LAW. Lady Liberty was going international…
