History
Arturo Hernandez De León was born the son of a prominent Spanish matador, who was a celebrity in Spain. Arturo (or Arthur as his English friends called him) went to the finest international schools and had a wealthy upbringing with all the privileges a child could ask for. But he didn't have the one thing he truly wanted, his father's affection and validation. Arturo found that he immensely enjoyed wrestling in high school and college. But being constantly in his father's shadow, Arturo was pressured to become a matador instead as was the family tradition. He followed in his father's footsteps and became a matador, excelling and becoming a local celebrity of his own. Arturo enjoyed the theater of being a matador, but over time did not enjoy the killing of the bulls. In one fateful match, Arturo refused to harm a bull and, after dodging it for awhile, upped and left the arena to the shock and dismay of everyone. When he stepped down from being a matador his family shunned him. Seeking to get away from his family's shadow and anger, he found his true passion in professional wrestling. For there he could combine the raw physicality and intensity of wrestling with the theatre and Spanish flair. There he felt right at home. Arturo applied for wrestling promotions internationally and was accepted into LAW. He hoped an excursion to Japan would lead to the heat dying down at home and prove to everyone, especially his family, that he could make a name for himself on his own.
