Personality
Despite his imposing appearance and aggressive fighting style, Troy is actually a nice guy most of the time. He can seem a bit quiet and reserved, but that’s because he often hangs around Betsy, who does more than enough talking for the both of them. He’s more the type to only speak when he has something to say, preferring to listen and give his responses some thought before spitting them out.
If he does have a flaw, it’s that, at times, he can be too careful for his own good, overthinking a situation and hesitating when he should be barreling forward. He can be overprotective of Betsy at times, too, sometimes forgetting that she’s more capable than she lets on, and he can slip into a condescending role with her if he’s not careful. He means well, but it’s something they’re both trying to reign in.
History:
People often write Troy off as a jock, and it’s not hard to see where that comes from. He has all the makings of one - rich family, high-class upbringing, football player in high school, top-level physique. None of that was true, however. He wasn’t a jerk, but that impression of him as one always stuck around, and he had a hard time getting people to look past what they expected him to be.
One of the people who could, however, was a girl named Betsy Lincoln, a cheerleader for his football team. The two of them got to talking one day after a game, and found themselves clicking straight away - something about her bright, bubbly personality was refreshing to be around, and she had a way of making him laugh. A friendship formed and developed into an earnest relationship, one that lasted them through high school and all the way to college.
Troy seemed to have a bright future ahead, but that all changed on the field. After a grueling game, Troy passed out on his way to the locker room and was rushed to the hospital, where he was scanned and found to have a serious concussion. That put an end to his football career straightaway, and while he would wind up recovering from it, he never found his love for the sport again.
It would’ve been all too easy to languish in obscurity, but Betsy pushed him to try something else in life, and he settled on pro-wrestling. He had been a huge fan as a kid, wanting to grow up and enter the squared circle, and this seemed like a good opportunity to try that life path out. He went into training and took to it like a fish to water, rising fast in the independent scene and gaining a small but strong fan following. Betsy came along with him for the ride, and much to his surprise, she wound up slipping into pro wrestling as well, finding a unique talent for combat sports.
Together, the two of them went touring as a rare husband/wife tag team, gaining more than a few interested eyes. One of them just so happened to be a LAW scouter who offered them a generous package to come overseas and join the company. Seeing the potential, the two of them accepted and made the trip.
Appearance:

-You might have noticed that Troy assumed Betsy’s last name when they married, when it’s usually the other way around. There’s no deep reason for this - he thought it would be a nice gesture, and ‘Lincoln’ is a more marketable last name for an American wrestler than ‘Lombard’.
-Has a few side projects going. His small acting career is currently the most fruitful, with him gaining decent roles as an American bad guy in some B-level Japanese films.
-Is something of a movie aficionada. He tries to watch at least one new movie a day.
-Has a love for animals, and horses in particular. He spent a lot of time as a child at his uncle’s ranch in Texas, where he learned to ride and train, growing quite skilled at it.
