The epythome of what a gentleman can be, Carlo is polite, well-mannered and also well-spoken. Always knows how to conduct himself with dignity and class. Educated in some of the highest social stratums, he can maintain a conversation with the 1% if needed, or translate those manners to any kind of situation. This doesn’t mean he has a stick up his ass or doesn’t have his rebel side, but he works hard to keep it under control, at least while being in public.
Cavaliere means both gentleman and knight though, and Carlo has a side that wouldn’t back down from a fight. To him the ring is a field of honor, one where might and mettle are tested. He always expects the best from his rivals and he wouldn’t take it any other way. He devotes himself to his craft and wants her rivals to do the same, so he wouldn’t be seen pulling any punches no matter who his rival is.
Past/History:
Born and raised in Italy, Carlo had the accomodated life of one of the 1%. He was lucky enough to be born in the Venturi family, wine entrepeneurs for more than 100 years and that made life easy for him. Having that kind of ease in his life didn’t make a cretin out of him or a haughty one. Under his family’s scrutiny at first and then under his own he always strived to become the best person he could be, both for her family’s best interest and his own. He idolized the vision of gentlemen and knights and he strived for that ideal.
When his interest in wrestling started he pursued a career there, but his family didn’t see wrestling as some serious or dignified line of work. That way he became some sort of oddball at home, still following his family’s way of thinking but unable to cope with how everyone saw his choices for a lifestyle. At a certain point his parents were talked into it and they struck a deal with Carlo: he would change his name and travel abroad where his “unconventional” career couldn’t hurt his family’s legacy and there he would be able to do as he pleased. Leaving his homeland wasn’t something he liked, but to pursue his dream he agreed.
Fun Facts:
- Despite having a chef preparing his meals for all his life, he is pretty good at cooking, specially Italian food.
- Used to practice shooting in a range, even placing at a decent 3rd spot in a regional championship when he was 16.
- Has weekly phone calls with his sister. Both were so close since they were children and in some way she envies Carlo’s ambition to pursue his own dreams.
- The scars on his arms are real, from a motorbike accident when he was younger.
